The ease of use is tremendous and being able to track enrollment and membership is valuable. Once you have the knowledge down pat its smooth sailing from there.
Its takes some time to learn the system since you have to watch the tutorials in order to learn it

It is an acceptable benefits portal. The company I work for tried to use it as an HRIS system, which it wasn't meant to be. As a solely benefits portal it worked well, but we pushed the system too far.

We just implemented Maxwell Health (which fully integrates with our HRIS) and I'm delighted with the ease with which we now handle Open Enrollment. Employees are presented with their options, can easily compare various plans and make their selections immediately. I'm not asked to interpret plan offerings for employees, as the information is easily and clearly accessible on each plan. Costs are calculated immediately and after plans are selected and confirmed, the premium information flows automatically to payroll. No more payroll errors due to a manual process. Employees are happy with the ease of use and I¿m happy with the ease of administration and with the timeliness and accuracy of payroll deductions.
After Open Enrollment, employees continue to have access to detailed plan information and can check their EOBs, reprint their ID cards, manage Life Events and other tasks that formerly required my involvement.
The Dashboard gives me quick update on the progress of enrollments and a variety of reports allow me to manage our Benefits program easily and efficiently. My only question is ¿Why didn¿t we do this sooner!¿.

¿ Give yourself sufficient time before Open Enrollment to roll out Maxwell Health to employees so they are already familiar with it
¿ Take advantage of the additional health programs that can be integrated with Maxwell
¿ Be generous with training time¿ it¿s worth it to the employee ¿ and then to the employer - to be fully familiar with the options employees have to be fully in control of their health and well-being

I had been exposed to the Maxwell Health website during our open enrollment last November/December and have used it to keep track of our company's insurance needs. It gets a little bit confusing when it's time to confirm the employee's choices, but overall it is a very valuable tool.
