The Applicant Manager (TAM) is a cloud-based applicant tracking solution that helps recruiting agencies and teams to streamline their hiring and onboarding process. The solution lets users track job postings and actively engage quality candidates. TAM provides toolsets that allow recruiters to review, select and share applicant information within teams.
TAM allows posting job details on multiple free and paid job boards such as Indeed, GlassDoor, Monster and more. Agencies can also link their social media channels such as Facebook and LinkedIn with TAM for posting job updates on these channels. Recruiters can configure rules for screening and pre-screening applications to automatically remove under-qualified applicants or duplicate entries. TAM provides advanced search features to search or filter applicants by using keywords, ratings, skills, tags or a combination of these.
TAM integrates with major email service providers such as Gmail and Outlook for centralizing contact and communication details. With TAM, recruiters can collect and store confidential applicant data including EEO, disability, and VETs details to comply with OFCCP regulations. The onboarding module allows users to design and share the onboarding process with new joiners.
The solution can be accessed using web browsers of any internet enabled device including smartphones.

Again, I've had a great experience with TAM. Give them 5 stars for their customer service and webinars.
I've found TAM to be straight-forward and easy-to-use. We use it for position posting and applicant tracking, so I can't speak to the reporting or data features. The customizable tables make sorting easy. Prescreening question options are thoughtful. It's very easy to train our managers on. A huge plus for us is TAM's customer service. As a newbie to HR and applicant tracking systems, I call them a lot and they are always nice, knowledgeable, very helpful.
You need to always preview job postings -- the formatting doesn't always translate from the position page to the career page.

We have already added the onboarding upgrade for those offices that have successfully learned to make use of TAM.
Has to be customer support and the way they will deal directly with my end users. We don't have a lot of real savvy users, and TAM has helped them adopt and understand.
Nothing struck me as bad about the product. The job boards themselves are hard to make an impact on.

TAM has been a great investment for our company! The set up process was fairly painless. The system has been very easy to use, and very configurable to our hiring needs. We love that it automatically posts on multiple job boards at once, the pre-screening questions are essential in helping narrow down the most qualified candidates, and best of all, the support staff at TAM is always very helpful! I highly recommend this ATS! You will not be disappointed.

They have a free trial that gives a lot of great insight if you're considering the product. We didn't transfer over any of our previous ATS data so I can't speak to that part of the process. I love the event triggers that you can set up!
The software is very intuitive and user-friendly.
You can customize almost everything to fit your company needs.
The customer support team is quick to respond and very helpful.
TAM has the ability to create a spreadsheet of data from almost any applicant page you're viewing.
The set-up/implementation was fast and we were working with a committed representative through the whole process who still checks in on us to see how things are going.
The contract is truly month-to-month so you don't have to worry about over committing and being stuck with a product that doesn't work for you.
Overall, great value for the money we spend!
The reporting features on the actual reporting tab are limited, we often pull reports from applicant searches instead to look at the data we are most interested in.
There were a couple of hiccups in the implementation that I thought would have been smoother considering the upfront work on both the Client and TAM's part.
The color scheme for the workflow is a set gradient so that if you have a lot of steps in your workflow it's hard to discern between stages in the desktop tab graphic.
Tracking can be a bit of a challenge when hiring multiple candidates for one role.

The Applicant Manager is an amazing software. It is so easy to use and the customer service is beyond great! They are very responsive and quick to get back to you anytime you send in a question or request. The Applicant Manager staff are so pleasant to deal with over the phone and are very understanding and kind - even if the answer is obvious! The have amazing webinar's and a great deal of useful information in their Knowledge Base. They also, constantly take the comments and requests of customers into consideration to make useful improvements! Overall, The Applicant Manager is an amazing software and I would be lost without it!
Kathy from LimnoTech
It has been easy to use for both me as the administrator and for the hiring managers who have used it. It has really streamlined our process. The vendor has been extremely helpful and responsive when I've had questions. I evaluated several systems, and felt that TAM would best meet our needs at a reasonable price. We are a small firm and only hire a handful of candidates each year, so I don't need a lot of bells and whistles. TAM is a straightforward system that I can customize to meet my needs. I also liked the low-key sales approach - I never felt pressured or like they were trying to sell me anything I didn't need or want.
If I had to find a negative, I suppose it would be that it was a little tricky to get the integration with our website worked out. But TAM was very responsive in helping find a solution quickly.
I ended up doing demos for I think 5 systems, and they started to blur a bit in my mind by the time I got to the end. I'd suggest thinking about what is most important to you in a system and staying focused on that, and trying to keep your demos to a fairly short list.
Eric from Allied Community Services, Inc.
I'm really glad I picked The Applicant Manager over all the other systems I looked at. It's a great value. The interface just makes sense - I was able to get things up and running in minutes. The best part though is the customer service The Applicant Manager offers. Knowledgeable, helpful advice is what I always get. If they are having a technical problem like server or connectivity issues, they contact me and explain to me what's going on. Transparency is very important to me, and they live up to that. Finally, they are always adding features that help us out.
They haven't let me down at all during my experience.
Look at the demos that companies offer and then compare prices. Price was a big consideration for us as a non-profit. Also looking at the customer satisfaction rating on this site and then decide which way to go.
Donna from KU Endowment
Love the simplicity! User friendly and meets our needs for an applicant tracking product.
Our organization has used TAM since June 2016 and have not came a crossing anything.
We previously had Taleo which was a good product as it stood alone, but once the product was sold and supported by another company, it was not so user friendly and was robust for what we needed. Training and customer service was poor. We researched and had several vendors that we had demos with. After our review and comparison we went with TAM. TAM is a great product and easy to use. Enjoy working with TAM's customer support and love the fact I talk to a live person and resolve any questions I may have.

I have used many applicant tracking systems and TAM is bar far the easiest I have used. In addition the support has been fantastic.
The software is very straight forward and built for simplicity and ease of use. By design it lacks some bells and whistles that very large organizations may require.
When evaluating, take your time and create a list of questions. Important to evaluate what you really need vs. what would be nice. This product was very easy to get up and running.
Michele from Associated Bag Company
TAM was not just the best value for the price (it is truly an affordable solution that should not be overlooked) it was easy to implement and made our recruitment process much more efficient and entire HR Team more effective as a result. The TAM team has amazing customer service, with immediate response to questions. The organization is so nimble that they can modify on the go to meet customer concerns or requests. The periodic "TAM Talks" outlining improvements directly from that client feedback are very helpful and all new version roll-outs are totally seamless without any additional cost.
Nothing - the product is easy to use and the support is matchless. They've gone above and beyond for us as we converted from an entirely manual process and were flexible enough to allow us to maintain certain manual controls.
This isn't an talent management program with a lot of colorful optics and pretty dashboards that comes at a premium price and complicated IT process. This is a tool that meets all the applicant management requirements at a great price with no down time to implement or train on, is easy to use, plus customer support is always available, responsive, and adaptive.
Steve from Indusa
Affordable price for the quality of the applicant tracking system. Provides more than I need, which is input of candidates and notation of conversations and submittal process. Vendor is very attentive to questions regarding the use of the product and updates to the product to continually improve user experience.
Have had an issue posting job opening to the home page of LinkedIn. Was told it may have to do with contact information I provided in the posting. But that is not the issue. Might still be my execution of the posting and not the limitation of the product. Yet to be determined.
Test drive other products out there to see which one works best for you. You can get a month or so free trial on competing products.

Thank you Steve for your review of TAM! I just wanted you to know that a member of our support team will be contacting you to see how we can help resolve the issue with your LinkedIn posting. If you need any help in the future, please feel free to give a shout to our support team.

The vendor has great customer service. They have been able to do everything I have asked. I have posted several jobs and have received many applications via the free job boards. I am able to see the status of all the applications and take my time to review them.
So far I am happy with my entire experience. The only thing that would have made my experience better is if they would have contacted my website host directly and taken care of connecting a link on my website for me.
Look at several. I found this to be the best fit for our company.
Jeanne from Advanced Sciences and Technologies (AS&T)
The best feature(s) is automation. If I can spend my entire day inside of TAM, I would. It's a true database and I love that everything you put into the system, you can pull out with a report. The days of receiving a resume via e-mail and saving it on your computer are over. That process was so time consuming. Getting back to automation, the template e-mails that you can send out with the click of one button is amazing and you can create your own. No more typing e-mails. It has cut more than half my time in a day. I would welcome someone to call me on the phone so I can explain in further detail.
No really anything and if I did have a few things they probably could be fixed or already exist as TAM has so many features that I have not even had time to explore yet.
Change is difficult however once you overcome the hump, it is sooo worth it. Have one person learn the software and become the administrator and then train people how to use the system to its fullest. They too, will love it.
Dale from PRS In VIVO
It is very user friendly and I have received excellent customer service and technical support, when requested.
I do not have any issue with the product and would highly recommend it.
I was looking for a system that was user friendly, and would capture the information that is required for all applicants. TAM meets all of our needs and can be as comprehensive as you need it to be.
Jodi from Adcomm
The vendor seemed to know the product well and was helpfull
There was nothing applicable about this question during this portion of the review.
Others should have a list of needs ready to discuss for this vendor.

This product is very versatile and affordable. It met (and exceeded) our core applicant tracking system needs. It's easy to use, yet offers a wide range of capabilities for mid-sized companies.
The reporting features were adequate, but perhaps not as easy to use as other vendors/ ATS.
Definitely a great product that will meet most businesses needs. Lots of helpful tools for tracking, communicating with, and managing the hiring process for candidates.

Easy to use, not cumbersome, and with the excellent training and support we got up and running very quickly.
It's pretty bare bones, but it's cost effective. I think the navigation could have fewer steps.
This is a good place to start if like us you're a small business buying its first talent management system.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review. The recognition that you gave us is very much appreciated by our team!
I saw that you described TAM as being “bare bones”. Are there any particular features that you are looking for that would show you the full capabilities of TAM? Our goal is to provide a very “simple/clean” interface so that our users and their applicants have an effortless experience. However, TAM itself does offer a very wide feature set. Because each setup is custom to meet specific client needs, please let me or our support team know if there is anything that we can do to show you how TAM can further improve your recruiting experience.
Jacqui from Harrell's LLC
So easy to use, the support team is so easy to work with, responds quickly, and very helpful.
We've not seen any outstanding limitations with this product.
I recommend choosing this product. Make your life easier! Make your recruiting easier! You'll be pleased.
Denns from Bonnell Aluminum
Very service oriented. User friendly and intuitive to use. Not so many bells and whistles that one doesn't use anyway, so the software allows one to recruit how one wants to recruit.
I'm not sure how "Scalable" the software is. Primarily because everywhere I've used it, I've had a recruiting function of just a few people, and typically it was a part of a generalist role.
Look at what you need to get the job done, not at all of the capabilities of the software and analytics that other vendors will try to sell you to trade up to their product. This software does exactly what it tells you it will do with the analytics that makes sense for smaller organizations. A great value for smaller organizations with limited budgets.

Super easy to use, very powerful and adaptable to different business models.
Sometimes a little quirky and glitchy on mobile devices (an app would be great!) in the resume views and email functionality.
I'd also like a widget that will make it super easy to list on my website.
This software is great whether or not you already have a strong process in place. If you do, it dovetails nicely with the steps in your process, and it's easily adaptable to adjust to the steps in your process. If you don't have a process already, the steps in TAM with make up for it.
