In more recent roles I was able to work with competing HRIS brands that had much more modern and user friendly interfaces. Our specialist knows us and understands our needs. For the most part, I feel it is also rather user friendly, and it's all one system. You are not importing from or exporting materials to other systems. #### Cons The onboarding process was not ideal but implementing any new system to not perfect. Our business is fund driven and that created some issues as well. #### Reasons for switching to Paycom Paycor had several different pieces they were using to try to do the one single source product that Paycom has. Paycom is a comprehensive system with a lot of potential and many useful features. It can be especially beneficial for organizations that want to manage payroll, HR, timekeeping, benefits, and employee information within one platform. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 3/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros What I like most about Paycom is that it offers many important payroll and HR functions within one system. The ability to manage payroll, employee information, timekeeping, accruals, benefits, and reporting in one platform can be very beneficial. I also appreciate the employee self-service features, which allow employees to access their own information, pay stubs, time-off balances, and other employment-related information without having to contact payroll or HR for every question. Paycom is a powerful system with many capabilities, and when everything is set up correctly, it can be an effective tool for managing payroll and HR responsibilities. Our Paycom Specialist are always willing to help and are responsive when I have questions or concerns. They make an effort to get back to me in a timely manner and assist us in finding answers or resolving issues. Having a dedicated specialist who is available and willing to help has been a positive part of our experience with Paycom. #### Cons What I like least about Paycom is that some processes can be difficult to figure out, especially when changes need to be made to existing setups. There are times when a simple change can require multiple steps or assistance from customer support. Additionally, reporting and general ledger setup can be challenging, and it would be helpful if the system provided clearer explanations and easier ways to identify and correct issues. The overall cost can become expensive, especially as additional products and services are added. It is important to regularly review which products are being used and whether they are providing enough value to justify the cost. We would like to see greater transparency and flexibility regarding pricing and the ability to better evaluate which services are necessary for our organization. #### Reasons for switching to Paycom To have the employees put in their time. Our overall experience with Paycom has been very positive. The platform has allowed us to bring many of our HR processes together in one system while giving employees greater ownership and visibility of their information. From an HR perspective, having an integrated system for payroll, benefits, time and attendance, training, performance management, and other employee processes has helped us operate more efficiently. One of the biggest differentiators has been the level of hands-on service, training, and continued education provided to administrators. As Paycom introduces new products and enhancements, we are given opportunities to learn how to use those tools and incorporate them into our processes. Like any comprehensive HRIS, there is always room for continued improvement in simplicity, flexibility, and customization. However, Paycom has continued to evolve, and we have found the platform to be user-friendly, dependable, and a valuable resource for both our HR team and our employees. Overall, Paycom has been more than just a payroll system for us. Rather than simply rolling out new functionality, Paycom provides resources and guidance that help administrators understand how to use the tools effectively. The platform is also user-friendly for both administrators and employees, which helps drive adoption and reduces the amount of day-to-day assistance HR has to provide. I especially appreciate Paycom’s employee-driven approach to data, which gives employees greater visibility into and ownership of their personal information, timecards, benefits, documents, and other employment-related information. Overall, Paycom has helped us create a more streamlined and self-service HR experience while still providing the hands-on support, training, and education our administrative team needs. The combination of technology, employee ownership of data, and ongoing customer support has been one of the biggest strengths for us. #### Cons One area that can be challenging with Paycom is that, because the system is so comprehensive, some processes can feel more complex than they need to be. There are times when completing what seems like a simple administrative task requires multiple steps or navigating through several areas of the system. (scheduling) Additionally, while Paycom regularly introduces new products, enhancements, and features, keeping up with all of the available functionality can sometimes be overwhelming. It takes a commitment from administrators to stay engaged with training and education to ensure we are taking full advantage of the system. #### Reasons for switching to Paycom Had a very aniquated platform and package. I was able to add people super easily. I also liked that the customer support was always on par. There was also not any glitches.The employee self-service was also super easy to use. #### Cons The system is very large. The cost was exponential compared to other payroll software.
