Paycom is a cloud-based payroll management solution that enables organizations to automate payroll processes. The platform stores all employee-related data in one place and ensures that changes are reflected in real-time across the system. The product also provides an in-person client specialist to each customer who requests help.

Paycom is able to create reports that can be imported to other accounting solutions. The expense management feature automates the expense reimbursement process and defines rules, categories and parameters for employees to monitor claims. Employees can also upload bills related to expenses by using a self-service portal available within the tool.

Paycom is able to debit payroll taxes on time, depositing them on or before due dates and handles all other payroll tax filings. Other features offered by the solution include garnishment management, online payroll processing and payroll analytics. Paycom is ACA compliant and handles all requirements related to 1094 and 1095 reporting.

Paycom Review

Pros

There was a time when we had to use this to log in and out everyday to track our hours, and it was easy enough to keep track of that plus manage our paystubs.

Cons

While I appreciated the security measures, having to enter your pin AND password each time you logged in became slightly annoying.

Paycom is easy to use

Pros

It is very easy to use and self explanatory. Even though there is a lot of training available in Paycom, I have been able to learn how to use it without most of the training.

Cons

While doing a new hire checklist I had to go in the order the tasks were assigned and not able to just complete what I could. For example I was still trying to decide on my benefits, but couldn't sign off on anything else until I decided on the benefits

Suprisingly Good Payroll system

Pros

I like the ease of use in changing my paycheck distributions online or from my phone. Paycom also integrated a lot of HR functions from my small company into the system so we stay up to date on things like required trainings. This is my first time using paycom and I really enjoy it. I thought nothing could be as good as ADP but this is like a new flavor and I like the functions my organization uses from the platform.

Cons

Its a new system to learn. some people have trouble with that but in my opinion they aren't an employee you want to keep hahaha. I believe this is a good competitor to ADP and I would not ask my management to change anything.

Paycom System is stellar!

Pros

The ability to pop on from anywhere and review my financial situation- Using the portal for the benefits selection has been streamlined, makes the offered benefits easy to select and compare from previous years. The time-off selection calendar is easy to use as well. Quick & seamless

Cons

The only issue i can think of was several years ago, when i had to try to remember the random password that had been set up!- Since, we have customized that ability, so now its great!- I don't think that was a Paycom issue! :-)

Great product

As an employee, it is easy to use and see all of my benefits, pto, beneficiaries, etc. As a manager, very easy to use and make employee changes if needed.

Pros

Editing time cards is very easy for my employees. Also love that I am able to view my benefits package at any time. Also like that I can log in from anywhere if I need.

Cons

I have not found anything I don't like about the product.

Everything You Need in One Place

It's everything I need in one place with easy access. Sometimes it runs slow.

Pros

As an employee, I like having access to all of my information when it comes to my pay roll, benefits, clocking in and out, and time off. I like not having to go through an HR department. Under most circumstances, you can even clock in and out from your phone. The place I work won't allow it to happen under a different IP address.

Cons

Sometimes my account loads ridiculously slow or not at all. My coworkers will log in on the same computer and even the one next to me, so I know it's not the computer itself or the wifi. It's made me a minute or two late on the clock at least once a week.

Does the job, keeps things simple

Overall our rapidly growing business was due for a professional, easy, and affordable tool to manager payroll, benefits, HR related things, etc. and this was perfect.

Pros

I can only compare it to what was offered before to employees. We used to be TriNet users. TriNet was very confusing that the customer service left much to desire. In contrast, Paycom is extremely simple, user friendly, and easy to manager. No complaints from employees, great customer service too!

Cons

I don't like that there are certain notifications that don't automatically go away even after they have been completed. It's annoying.

Pros

Great employee self-service program. Its a great way to clock your hours and all of the features are extremely easy to use. You can access all of your information online and via their mobile website. Time off requests show your projected PTO amount for the future dates which is great for planning ahead.

Cons

Not a lot to complain about this program. Only thing would be logging in requires a password and last 4 of SSN which adds an extra step to logging in.

Excellent customer support

We've been using Paycom for at least 6 years and the customer service is EXCELLENT. Yes, there is something of a learning curve to the software, but once you know what to do, its pretty easy. Our accountant has asked for specific things and if I can't figure it out on my own, Paycom's customer service is always available with limited wait times. I've found that the assigned specialist is a huge help and I've never had an issue with any customer service person being unhelpful or lacking knowledge on a subject. I feel 100% confident our payroll is being done correctly through Paycom - excellent service and I'd recommend it to any small business.

Pretty straightforward once you know how to use it
Information easily available and able to be organized in different ways as needed

Cons

Sometimes the learning curve is a touch high
Occasionally you have to turn to customer support to get a specific document

Paycom is easy to use, efficient, and creates massive value

Pros

Paycom is truly a one stop shop for HR needs. With a single application, we were able to ease through pay periods without a hitch most every time. I had previously used a competing service at a prior employer and there were consistently problems each pay period. Paycom has none of these issues.

Cons

Nothing to complain about. As I have worked at companies with other applications in place, I can honestly say that this is the easiest, hassle free program I have used.
