TimeClick by Hawkeye Technology, LLC, released in 1993, is an on-premise time and attendance system for small to midsize businesses. It serves a wide range of industries including banking, engineering, health care and retail. TimeClick offers three sizes of packages to fit the unique needs of each purchaser.

TimeClick offers secure time tracking with expansive capabilities. Employees can clock in and out by selecting their name from a customized menu and entering their password. This includes clocking time for breaks during a shift. To ensure the times recorded are accurate, TimeClick offers a feature called  “Workstation Sync Time;” this allows each computer on the network to automatically synchronize their clocks to one computer. Administration Mode within the software provides password-restricted access to the entire program, and is accessible from any computer on the network. 

Recognizing the need for support, TimeClick offers two support plans. All new users are provided with 30 days of free support to assist in the initial implementation of the program. After that, businesses can choose either an annual support plan or a “per incident” fee plan. All support requests are handled by a United States-based team, and can be reached via telephone or through TimeClick's website. For additional assistance, multiple videos are offered for walkthroughs of the software. 

This is suitable for companies looking for on-premise time and attendance software for one computer or an entire network. It was rated the Gold Award Winner in a 2014 Time Card Software Review by Top Ten Reviews. It operates on a Windows operating system and installs in only a few minutes.

TimeClick helps us managing various departments including HR, Design, Finance, Development, marketing etc. Different people have different office timings according to their department. This is an Admin manageable software to record the in and out timing of employees. We have integrated with quickbooks online as well. Using this we can know how much total hours someone has worked in office and we release the payments accordingly.

The interface can be improved. the form design looks old (Like old desktop apps). But if design can be improved, the software is great!

The customer service support has been very helpful and easy to work with. They are great about answering questions and showing you other uses within the system. It was affordable and simple to use. I was worried that it would take a great deal of time to set up and begin using...but it was easy and the customer support was very helpful. I especially like that I can use the on-line support for quick questions and they respond to me right away.

I do not really have a complaint at this time and I have been using the system for over 4 months now. Any new computerized system can be intimidating, but I recommend making good use of the training tools they provide so that you are informed about how to best use the system. If that doesn't work for you the on-line support representatives are very prompt to respond to your questions. They were patient and helped me get my system set up just right for my needs.

Recommendations

Do your homework first. Understand what functions you really want for your business needs and then begin looking for systems that match up with your needs. Remember that any system you choose should save you time and headaches in the end, and be a great support to your record keeping.

This software is excellent! It took HR and non-exempt employees no time at all to figure out how to use it. It is easy to use and accurate. The reports are comprehensive and clearly print necessary and pertinent information based on what it is you need. It makes processing payroll easy and quick. It only takes a couple of clicks to make adjustments to employee's time when necessary; for instance, if the employee forgets to clock in/out for lunch. So easy!

After many years of using traditional time cards and a time clock, this is a breath of fresh air!

Customer Service is excellent. From day one we have received great service. We can call or email anytime and get answers we need.

There is really nothing so far that we do not like; or maybe we just have not discovered it yet. We are very pleased with the software.

Recommendations

If you are debating whether or not to purchase the software, start with the 30-day trial. Our company used it, loved it, and we were able to work out a couple of small kinks before going live. This gave our employees a chance to try this software and give us feedback. The great thing about this is, all of the information that was entered during the trial defaults once you go live. There is not need to re-enter everything.

In our opinion, this software is definitely worth the investment.

This was a great solution to a time clock that allows our remote employees to log in as well as everyone else in the building without having a time clock in a central location. We have been able to quickly access support when we have had to replace a computer that required a new installation of the product.

Our small law firm has utilized TimeClick for all of our timekeeping needs for approximately two and one half years now and it has been exactly what we were looking for. TimeClick is perfect for any small business looking for a more efficient and better timekeeping method that is not going to break the bank and does not require an advanced degree. TimeClick was easy to install and incredibly easy to use. We just downloaded the main program on our server and then put the local installation on the individual employee’s computers. At the end of the pay period, we simply print out the payroll report and send it to our payroll company. It is just that easy. It also aides us in tracking paid time off as it has a function for that as well. Thus, we can properly identify what were hours actually worked and what was vacation or sick time so that we do not needlessly pay overtime when the same is not warranted. I am fairly certain the program has paid for itself in this respect.

From the moment I called TimeClick, Chris has helped me set up TimeClick at five different businesses in four different states with patience and ease. I often couldn’t be on the call with my managers due to other work obligations and being in another state. The TimeClick software pulls all of the information from individual employee records into one very simple, easy to read report. It has cut my payroll preparation time down by a minimum of 4 hours, as this was previously accomplished manually.
