Zoho Recruit is a web-based recruiting solution for small to mid-sized businesses. The software's comprehensive applicant tracking system (ATS) includes resume parsing, automated job board posting, customized company careers pages, resume storage, and interview scheduling. Zoho's offerings include multiple specialized applications created to help users collaborate with their peers to increase productivity.

Zoho Recruit enhances the visibility of company job openings by creating a customized career webpage of the company and extend the reach by using popular job boards, social media sites, and direct sourcing. The career page developed by the software lists every job opening with complete descriptions and accepts applications for multiple job openings. The solution provides a candidate login where candidates can set up their user profiles and apply for multiple jobs.

Zoho Recruit integrates with Google applications, such as Google Calendar, to save time and forego repetitive data entry. The software is available free with limited features and the upgraded versions are available on a per month subscription basis.

Pros

The price is the reason I went with Zoho. It seems like they offer a lot, but charge you for every single program you use.

Cons

The customer service is horrible. We had a hard time contacting anyone and would get put on hold, but no one returns.

EVERYTHING about this product stinks. The poor off shore customer service, you're lucky to get any response at all and when you do the response is completely off topic. The products appears to be in a testing phase still with constant bugs and crashes. Many features are sold and used to market the product but that don't actually work. Get ready of a nightmare if you purchase this product.

A lot better than using excel files and emails for tracking candidates! It's a great price and has tons of cool features. However, if you're a beginner at setting up a new system.. probably not the best software for you.

Pros

Great prices, and a lot of great features. Customized work flows, options for automating steps and emails. Love the feature where you can add phone calls and track all forms of communication.

Cons

It was one of the first application tracking systems I was looking into. I wasn't sure what workflows were or how they worked. I reached out for customer support and they sent me an email to attend a webinar. It was very informative, however I really would've liked some one on one help.

I strongly urge you to give Zoho a try - you won't be disappointed. And don't let the price fool you - they pack a lot of punch into this product.

Pros

Incredible value for the money. Competes with the best ATS systems on the market and beats them! Easy to use, massive customization options, impressive functions. Lots of integrations with other Zoho products and other awesome extensions.

Cons

The only thing I find missing is one report to show bounced emails. That's the only issue for our team. Other than that...it's all good.

I have not had one single technical issue. That's a HUGE PLUS! I have used and evaluated several of the big recruiting platforms. I'm super impressed with Zoho!

Pros

I love the low price - we have just one user and needed an easy-to-use solution to store resumes, interview notes, sources etc. I can only speak to using it for hundreds of resumes (which I do), versus thousands. I'm not sure how it would perform then. There are a lot more features to use - like tracking job requirements. They have a lot of customizable features (that you do yourself).

Cons

There are a lot of reporting options but it's not quite as intuitive to use as I'd like. I need to work with it more.

Cons

Great choice especially for smaller recruiting firm and without having to spend a lot of money to get a fully functional system to meet your needs.

Pros

After spending more money on another applicant tracking system (ATS) I regret not using Zoho sooner. Zoho Recruit has an excellent resume parsing system for resume and easier to manage than even other more expensive ATS systems. The software also picks up the important skill sets listed on the resume without you having to enter it. The pricing is extremely reasonable for a smaller business. I can spend $ a year or $ a month for the standard version. It also integrates easily with Indeed.com if you would like to find potential candidates (you still need an Indeed membership). Their customer service team is very responsive.

Cons

I would like the software to more easily integrate with other web content such as copying contact information from websites.

We are a recent startup Recruitment Company that selected Zoho for ATS and CRM purposes after reviewing numerous other software options. With the introduction of numerous Cloud products, we quickly established that a wide number of options in the market are extremely rigid with a lack of customisation. If you're willing to get your hands dirty (which we are), you're able to really bespoke the system to your recruitment needs. Of course there are some functionality limitations which could be made better however the customisation is much more extensive then other demos we have gone through.

From a CRM perspective for our needs, it ticks all the boxes and from a Recruitment Agency perspective it does a good job of Parsing multiple CV's and has allowed us to setup numerous reports and forecast stages. Overall it does the trick for a startup and growing company who are ultimately looking at their cashflow within the first few years however there are areas we have been informed are on the roadmap which they need to make happen.

Customer Support has been extremely good.

Pros

- Customisation Options in terms of Field/Layout Management
- CV Parsing
- App - Smart Device App is really nice
- Searching / Reporting Capabilities
- Standard functionality is better than others in the market

Cons

- Lack of Radius Search from a Candidate perspective which isn't ideal when searching for candidates near a certain location
- Lack of Office365 Outlook Integration (this is on the roadmap however isn't ideal)
- Skilling / Capabilities is my largest bugbear as it isn't as intuitive as other options from a recruitment perspective
- Some rigid functionality where you can't remove and edit certain fields.
- No Linkedin stripping functionality

Advice to Others

If you're a recruiter who is happy to put some leg work in with setting up the system for your needs than it will be the product for you however if you're not as tech savvy and need the features above from the off, you may face some frustrations.

However, if you have a well established market, know your niche and just need something to host profiles and do basic searches then it will do the trick.

I'm simply trying to update all phone numbers with a format of ###-###-#### and ZOHO cannot import data extracted from it's own system back into correct records.
SIMPLE duplicate checking on EMAIL field ONLY!
no First, Last, Phone#, First, Last, Mobile, Address or ANY other checking is done for DUPLICATES (ONLY EMAIL - which is a PROBLEM when 2 people share the same email address)

I'm an avid Zoho fan anyway but the fact they have recruitment portal as well means i can keep everything in one place without having to juggle loads of different screens, etc. Took a while to get used to but it has all the features others have and works great!

After 20 years in the staffing agency, I've used every ATS you can think of. Now being freelance, I needed to find an ATS that would be used for a multi-million dollar staffing agency for myself without breaking the bank. Zoho did just that! I looked for, and tried, several ATS programs. None of them even came close to the capabilities of Zoho Recruit and cost 300% more. I wouldn't dream of using anything but Zoho.

Pros

It's easy to use and tracks every little detail of the hiring process. Even better, you can customize the input fields to match your specific need/wants.

Cons

I didn't have the greatest experience the first (and only) time I had to call customer service. The lady on the other end was relatively rude and abrupt.

Advice to Others

Dump your other ATS! Zoho is where it's at!

It is so easy to use and intuitive. You can customise the fields/ add or remove them easily without having to read a long winded manual (my pet hate!) and all at an amazingly low price which is appreciated when you are a start up agency with limited cash flow

Only small grumble would be that the standard fields are very Americanised (so State/ Zip etc) but very easy to change

Love the ease with which I'm able to track candidates. I can rate them, tag them for various skills sets, move them to other positions. There are a LOT of features that I'm still learning. The tech team is extremely supportive and responsive whenever I have questions. I like being able to blast open positions to all the free job boards right away. Love the URL option to post on LinkedIn or my own website.

Cons

The layout is a little busy and not as easy to use and follow as I would like. There are a lot of features which aren't immediately obvious, so there's a bit of a learning curve to get the full use out of the app.

Excellent software - really good value for money. We spent quite a bit of time looking at CRM systems for our new startup recruitment agency and were shocked at the cost of most of the big names. Came across Zoho recruit, a bit concerned that it was so cheap it wouldn't offer the same features. However we have not really found anything that it is missing at this point, and indeed think it has some better elements than some of the more expensive systems we have used for other companies.

Cons

Not blown away with it being browser based, might have preferred it as a proper stand alone program. That being said, it is cloud based and great access from anywhere.

Reduce time and effort

Pros

I tested several alternate systems to check the resume parser with several languages, including Portuguese and Spanish. From the tested solutions Zoho Recruit was the one that I was able to get good results with Portuguese and Spanish, also.

Cons

I would appreciate if the resume fields could support the resume translation in more than 1 language (e.g. Portuguese and English).

I like that you can customize it and there are a lot of tools and functionality, even with the free edition. So for a company just starting out, you can't beat the price

Cons

Set up is a little difficult if you have never used an app like this before. Support is a little slow. Not too sure about the job board interface.

For a small company that is just starting out, you can't beat the price. The free edition will get you by, but to get the most functionality you need a paid subscription.

Cons

If you have never used this kind of software there can be a bit of a learning curve. Support is slow. The job boards don't seem to work very well and the indeed interface doesn't seem to sync with Indeed.

I enjoy the ease of use and the integrations side of the ATS I like how we were able to sign up and begin use of the program immediately there was no need to google or view tutorials and of course we love the affordability of the program
