Zoho Recruit is a web-based recruiting solution for small to mid-sized businesses. The software's comprehensive applicant tracking system (ATS) includes resume parsing, automated job board posting, customized company careers pages, resume storage and interview scheduling. In addition, Zoho's offerings include over twenty-five specialized applications created to help users collaborate with their peers to increase productivity.

Zoho is a purely web-based system, which means implementation is simple, as there is no hardware to buy and maintain. This solution integrates with Google applications, such as Google Calendar, to save time and forego repetitive data entry.

Finally, this software doesn’t require a long-term contract: users can try the software for free, and upgrade to Zoho Recruit’s standard package, which is priced on a month-to-month basis.

After a lot of research and comparing tools to find the most productive CRM for our recruitment business we tried Zoho and I can warmly recommend other small recruitment companies who are looking for a CRM tool that is adjustable to fit the core business without to much administration.

Our transition was very simple and affordable. The implementation team was very helpful and supportive. What could have been an absolute nightmare was taken care of with out a hitch. Training was made available to our team and the changes were smooth.

I started a recruiting business and as part of my services I needed a job board. As I became familiar with Zoho services I started using Zoho recruit along with its other products. The feature I like the most is its integration with other Zoho products. Since it offers a wide range of services at really reasonable prices, I found it really helpful, at least for a business in a period like mine: a starting one!

Getting to know all of its features can be a bit frustrating at first, so you should be patient!
So I think there is space for improvement on user friendliness!

Advice to Others

If you're in the starting stage and on a limited budget, I highly recommend it. I think I will be using it in the future too, mainly because it seems to be strong in scalability.

We are a recent startup Recruitment Company that selected Zoho for ATS and CRM purposes after reviewing numerous other software options. With the introduction of numerous Cloud products, we quickly established that a wide number of options in the market are extremely rigid with a lack of customisation. If you're willing to get your hands dirty (which we are), you're able to really bespoke the system to your recruitment needs. Of course there are some functionality limitations which could be made better however the customisation is much more extensive then other demos we have gone through.

From a CRM perspective for our needs, it ticks all the boxes and from a Recruitment Agency perspective it does a good job of Parsing multiple CV's and has allowed us to setup numerous reports and forecast stages. Overall it does the trick for a startup and growing company who are ultimately looking at their cashflow within the first few years however there are areas we have been informed are on the roadmap which they need to make happen.

Customer Support has been extremely good.

Pros

- Customisation Options in terms of Field/Layout Management
- CV Parsing
- App - Smart Device App is really nice
- Searching / Reporting Capabilities
- Standard functionality is better than others in the market

Cons

- Lack of Radius Search from a Candidate perspective which isn't ideal when searching for candidates near a certain location
- Lack of Office365 Outlook Integration (this is on the roadmap however isn't ideal)
- Skilling / Capabilities is my largest bugbear as it isn't as intuitive as other options from a recruitment perspective
- Some rigid functionality where you can't remove and edit certain fields.
- No Linkedin stripping functionality

Advice to Others

If you're a recruiter who is happy to put some leg work in with setting up the system for your needs than it will be the product for you however if you're not as tech savvy and need the features above from the off, you may face some frustrations.

However, if you have a well established market, know your niche and just need something to host profiles and do basic searches then it will do the trick.

I'm simply trying to update all phone numbers with a format of ###-###-#### and ZOHO cannot import data extracted from it's own system back into correct records.
SIMPLE duplicate checking on EMAIL field ONLY!
no First, Last, Phone#, First, Last, Mobile, Address or ANY other checking is done for DUPLICATES (ONLY EMAIL - which is a PROBLEM when 2 people share the same email address)

I'm an avid Zoho fan anyway but the fact they have recruitment portal as well means i can keep everything in one place without having to juggle loads of different screens, etc. Took a while to get used to but it has all the features others have and works great!

After 20 years in the staffing agency, I've used every ATS you can think of. Now being freelance, I needed to find an ATS that would be used for a multi-million dollar staffing agency for myself without breaking the bank. Zoho did just that! I looked for, and tried, several ATS programs. None of them even came close to the capabilities of Zoho Recruit and cost 300% more. I wouldn't dream of using anything but Zoho.

Pros

It's easy to use and tracks every little detail of the hiring process. Even better, you can customize the input fields to match your specific need/wants.

Cons

I didn't have the greatest experience the first (and only) time I had to call customer service. The lady on the other end was relatively rude and abrupt.

Advice to Others

Dump your other ATS! Zoho is where it's at!

Easy to use and usefully organised. I like the fact that that it includes access to indeed and we are able to send emails and cc interested parties. Very useful if you are a recruitment company or if you spend a lot of time recruiting staff.

We are evaluating ATS software and so far this product matches or beats the others and at half the cost. It works with many of the social media companies and included the hosting of a company jobs website.

In one phrase: "Fits perfectly the needs of a small or middle size recruitment company/departament, and with a good cost, but if you need a "foolprof"/"inerrable" software, this is not the right one for your company.
