DrCloud EMR Software


 

DrCloud EMR is a customizable, best-of-breed EMR solution that can scale with the growth of a practice. As the name implies, DrCloud is Web-based; information is securely hosted on the Microsoft Windows Azure Platform, so patient data is safe without the need to purchase extra hardware.

DrCloud EMR allows users to send prescriptions, record chief complaints, reference images and document patient histories. The system includes built-in reminders and checks to monitor patients—and information can be printed for them at the point of care. Patient scheduling and medical billing is included within the DrCloud EMR suite, along with templates and coding functionality.

As part of the implementation process, DrCloud EMR’s staff tailors training programs for users and offers built-in conversion software to get current paper trails into the cloud. The software is Meaningful Use Certified and is a fit for mental and behavioral health clinics, pain management offices, chiropractors, psychiatrists and therapists.

Responsive vendor, newer, flexible product. DrCloud has good familiarity in our specialty. We are an AODA and MH clinic. We are recent customers, still preparing for go-live.

Likes Least

Because the product has not been on the market long, it has a limited installed base.

Recommendations

Take your time. Take good notes. Demo thoroughly. Drive the software yourself, don't rely entirely on demos led by vendors sales staff.

Because they have to support our 325+ users with diverse requirements, sometimes the solutions are a little late. But, that is because they take the extra time to get it right the first time!

Recommendations

we have been using DrCloud since June 2013 and are quite pleased with the application and the support team assigned to our Company.

The team has worked diligently with us to customize the program to our needs with an emphasis on making it as intuitive as technically possible. We currently have 60 users, all accessing the program from remote locations on both desktop and mobile devices. As the world becomes increasingly mobile, we have worked closely with the support team to improve the look and feel of the program on the most popular mobile devices. Although the program works on all internet browsers, we find that it¿s functionality is most consistent on Chrome. Last year we worked closely with our support and development team to develop a brand new timesheet application unique to our needs and have been using it successfully for over 1 year now and it has been very reliable.

Where Dr. Cloud lacks in overall components, they make up in customer service and attentiveness. I like the use of permissions and completions that the provider can set to be sure staff are completing notes prior to billing.
The billing and accounting side of Dr. Cloud is adequate and I am happy they are working hard to improve these aspects.
I use several different EHR/billing software programs in my office, they all have limitations. Dr.Cloud is the most responsive to updating, changing and improving their software per provider request, rather than some specific update.
