In Touch EMR is an integrated web-based electronic medical record, practice management, and medical billing system. It offers real-time eligibility verification, appointment reminders, reporting, and customizable note templates. Practices looking for a mobile solution can access In Touch EMR through an app designed specifically for iPads. This app allows patients to upload documents, complete self-intake paperwork, and even take a picture of themselves for their profile. Front desk staff can add and edit this information as needed, and can also use an  eligibility verification function.

In Touch EMR is HIPAA compliant, ONC Certified and ICD-10 ready. The system can be accessed from any computer, Mac or PC, that is web-enabled. New users can access a video training program, and customer support can be reached by phone, email, or an online ticketing system.

The product is very well laid out and fairly easy to use. The set up wasn't too difficult and the contact person for our account was top-notch - always willing to help, returned calls promptly, notified customers when she was out, etc. The company always asked for assistance in how they could make the product better - and at times, implemented ideas that were suggested.

Likes Least

Whenever there were issues with the software - we were always given a 'work around' because updates took forever. The company has good features available but they charge for every little add on, making it challenging for small businesses to get exactly what they need. When technical issues arose (which they did often) the company would make us feel as if it were something we did or a problem on our end.

Recommendations

Always determine your NEEDS first and then look for software to support those needs. I recommend a trial period or free demo to ensure its what you need and ask to speak with previous users of the software. I think if we would have done this first, our outcome may have been a little different.

THERE WAS REALLY NOTHING I LIKED THE BEST BUT SCHEDULING COULD BE DONE EASILY.

EVERYTHING. THE REPORTS THAT WE USED MONTHLY WERE NEVER ACCURATE. THERE WERE 2 OF US IN THE OFFICE THAT RAN BILLING REPORTS AND THEY WERE NEVER THE SAME EVEN THOUGH WE RAN THE SAME REPORT. PAYMENTS WERE POSTED AND THEN THEY WOULD NOT SHOW UP AS BEING POSTED. WE WERE TOLD NUMEROUS TIMES WHEN WE HAD PROBLEMS THAT WE NEEDED TO "CLEAR THE CACHE" AND IT SHOULD WORK RIGHT. THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. CUSTOMER SUPPORT WAS NOT SUPPORTIVE DUE TO ANY ISSUES WERE ALWAYS SOMETHING WE DID AND NOT WITH THE SYSTEM.

Recommendations

MAKE SURE TO REVIEW CAREFULLY. WHEN BEING TOLD THAT THE SOFTWARE IS "FULLY INTEGRATED", MAKE SURE THAT IT IS BECAUSE WITH INTOUCH EMR AND INTOUCH BILLER PRO, IT IS NOT!
