Founded in 2000 by a group of healthcare and information technology professionals, Doc-tor.com provides full-featured software solutions for the Medical industry. Their web-based system, Picasso, offers a wide range of applications, including Electronic Health Records, Practice Management, Medical Billing, Patient Scheduling and more. Picasso EHR is ONC-ATCB 2014 certified by the Drummond Group in accordance with Meaningful Use I & II. This software is flexible enough to support a full range of medical specialties such as Anesthesiology, Dermatology, General Practitioners, and Optometry.
Picasso’s web-based deployment ensures that the system is 100% accessible from any desktop computer, laptop, or even a mobile device, as long as there's an Internet connection. By automating day-to-day processes, busy practices can boost productivity and almost entirely eliminate human error. Built into the system is a full library of reports and templates, which will further expedite tasks like billing and patient documentation, as well as reducing the costs related to paper forms. In the event that Internet connection is lost, data such as patient files are still accessible because the system is automatically backed up everyday.
Not only does the software come “ready to use” with a pre-configured EHR, but there is also a team of trainers ready to bestow a myriad of time-tested information. Post-implementation, support and training are available both on-site and via phone in order to ensure a seamless and successful transition. This software is web-based and operates on Mac iOS and Microsoft operating systems.

This product was very user friendly. Easy to run reports to ensure office was Medicare compliant with meaningful use. As the office manager this was my number one concern. Vendor very helpful in guiding our company through the process of switching from paper charts to e-charts. Frequent updates and improvements to software.
Some issues with spell check. As well as issues with finding some medications on the system.
The most important part of medical software is having it be time efficient. The biggest change when going from paper charts to electronic is the time it now takes with each patient to make sure the chart is up to date even before the doctor has seen them. Also I believe some of the information in the different categories is redundant and therefore time consuming, taking away actual time spent between doctor and patient.

I like the ease of use and the vendor's availability. From the demo to the implementation process, dealing with Doc-tor.com's Picasso has been a pleasure. There is always a person to talk to; the support group is fantastic! Scanning is simple and easy. There are so many reports available on the system; there are a lot more than our old system. I love the Dragon voice integration, and the notes come out perfect every time! We would definitely recommend Doc-tor.com and Picasso.
They do not provide hardware or networking, although they did refer us to some excellent options.
We had a larger vendor. They were only interested in the beginning, and then the attention ended once we paid them. When we needed something, it took weeks to get responses, only to be told, 'We can't do that' or 'We can do it, but it will take 12 weeks and will cost $15,000." Sound familiar?
The second time around, we opted for a company that was smaller but efficient and attentive. It seems the Practice Management and EMR markets have become saturated with behemoths who only care about systems out the door.
