Perhaps is just that our operation is unconventional but we still find the interface a bit heavy.
Timesheets tool is an awesome feature to which we rely a lot.

Everything about this is amazing. They have clearly thought through UI and UX from a users standpoint.
The basic versions of this software are useless. You need premium or enterprise.
Probably the best on the market... but a close second and third are Asana and Wrike.

The software is easy to use, and you become comfortable navigating through the systems rather quickly.
I had a few issues where I was wanting more customer service . You are able to have a live chat right from the app, but if I had known that before hand, it would have helped me out and saved me time.

Although new/updated Dashboard provide more details. It is becoming difficult for entering efforts in different project and different tasks and sub-tasks. Also it is bit difficult to edit and modify time logs entered earlier. Creating different subtasks is difficult as the project progresses.

Reports from Zoho projects are limited ones. Not useful unless Zoho Reports is added. Lot many features needs to be explored and used. User addition and management has issues many times. Timezone for reporting and syncing with Zoho Reports is major issue. Customized options for setting up projects or users are not available or very limited

I was working on a project that used Zoho Projects as the management tool. It works great for projects of any size really the issue comes with integration with other platforms, apps, and tools. You really have to be an all Zoho kinda operation to really reap the max benefits from Zoho Projects. If that's not an issue then you should be in great shape.

I started ( and ended) using the free trial. This application certainly could be easier to use . I imagine that it would be had the free trial provided the opportunity to properly assess the product.

I have used Zoho Projects for some internal projects we are working on and I have like the collaboration and the features with Zoho Project. It has helped keep us updated and together with increasing our success. We have only used it on a small portion but we like it and will use it on some larger projects. We are also looking into Zoho People to help us track training needs with our staff.
I like the collaboration and especially the mobile app
There is a lot to learn and can be a big task.

Trying the Express version. Pretty straight forward, reasonably intuitive UI. I'm starting up a company, so costs are limited. There are 3 main deficiencies that have forced me to look for alternatives: 1) no dependencies, 2) no sub-tasks, 3) can't skip weekends and holidays.
The upgrade to premium has those features, but it's little expensive. Not as convenient to share select project details with customers, but manageable and with much better feature set.
Cloud based, intuitive UI
For the price of express version, no dependencies, no sub tasks, and no exclusion of weekends and holidays. Cheaper (free) alternatives with those features do exist.
If the express version had those 3 things, I never would have looked for alternatives.

Zoho Projects is very consistent in terms of easy of use and flexibility as the other products of the Zoho Suite. There is only one feature that it would be great to be included is to have a programmed vs executed Chart, and a Budget control (programmed vs Executed)

I have tried many PM software platforms, and I find that most are more complicated than I need. I have used various Zoho products for nearly a decade, and when I saw Projects, I had to give it a go. It has all the PM features you need with a clean, straightforward interface. It was easy to understand and get set up, and easy to follow multiple projects through. It's flexible enough to accommodate multiple PM approaches (which is great, since different projects sometimes benefit from different styles). As with any software, there are some features that I would like to see done differently, but I suspect that's largely a matter of preference. No real complaints - it's a great system!

Zoho is a highly productive Project Planner with almost all the features of some of the other existing tools. However being SaaS, it is pay as you use and scalable. Reporting and Dashboards templates are available for quick use.
We have multiple departments within a small business that take projects from start to finish. With Projects we are able to create tasks specific to each department and even team member in order to track cost for each project. It has helped so much with determining resource allocations and staying on budget.

It might seem daunting starting from scratch, you really have to have an idea of how your company's setup is going to look before you can start.
Try it out, it's fairly cheap and a great way to customize project time/budget tracking for each company's needs.
This add in has assisted us greatly with the communication between our support staff and our development staff. The built in features, like bug severity, reproducibility, etc are all items we were missing prior to finding this solution.
The features at the bug-level that allow you to drill down to the cause, the reproducibility, the impact on our client, and even the connection with the CRM to see exactly what client or parent organization were impacted have been incredibly helpful. The integration with projects was a key component that set this apart from other solutions.
I truly don't have any cons at this time. (Aside from my consistent feedback that Zoho's technical support is not helpful whatsoever)

It is a a very useful platform about project management specially the way of sharing activities and all issues in one single page however some times I think we need to integrate email as a reference.
Zohoprojects looks good at first however there are some small bugs. More importantly there are MAJOR issues once everything is set up. Unfortunately we had to leave zohoprojects for privacy reasons.
Within the project management system as it is currently developed every user can see every comment and task for every other user in the project. We contacted zoho and there is no way of changing this.
Our setup currently is we have employees, contractors, managers and clients.
As far as zoho is concerned though all of the above make no difference as zohoprojects lets every user even the contractors see EVERY detail of every conversation and tasks between managers and clients.
Eventhough there are priviledge roles to prevent users from editing other users tasks they can still view EVERYTHING. Every login or message left, every detail, task, invoice etc generated for every other user.
Therefore two completely independent contractors for example could view absolutely everything that is going on with eachother. Absolutely ludicrous.
This is certainly a fundamental and very basic requirement which any project manager would expect out of the box.
Zohoprojects however seems not to care about it. We contacted them many times about this issue to find a workaround however there is none. We got a nice apology from India but unfortunately that is not enough. This lack of functionality can not be omitted. It is essential.
All it needs is a tick box within each project titled "Tick for Assigned users to be able to view tasks and milestones only"
If you are intending to use zohoprojects to manage one or more contractors and employees for your business then DON´T. You could do more damage to your business through this lack of privacy functionality than good if you do. As every project user can see EVERYTHING that everyone else is doing including any login or sensitive information that is posted. There is no way of making any message or task private. Also ALL client information can be viewed by EVERY user also.
Zoho does have a solution to client information being visible to all the users which is to set up one project for clients and one for workers.
Surely that negates the complete purpose of the system in the first place?
All I can say is "It´s a shame".
Unless they fix it soon they will certainly lose huge amounts of customers and revenue just the same as they have now lost ours.
When there are problems with the platform a very apologetic response from India arrives in your mailbox explaining that there is no solution.

we attempted to use this as a project management tool when we were implementing a new ERP system but we quickly outgrew it. the biggest flaw is the way it handles tasks and milestones. it becomes one big list that's difficult to navigate and difficult for users to understand. even the system itself became clunky as we were constantly expanding and collapsing different sections trying to view the related tasks. we were also very limited in the reporting we could do. I think this tool would work well for small scale projects
