Phorest Software


 

Phorest is a salon management software solution designed for small and midsize businesses that features appointment bookings, point-of-sale, inventory management and reporting. The software offers cloud-based deployment and a salon-branded app for mobile phones and tablets.

Phorest features online booking which allows salon staff to manage bookings from the salon’s website and through Facebook. Once an appointment is booked, it gets updated in the system automatically to help reduce overbooking.

Phorest features “Client ReConnect” which allows users to send automated emails to customers based on their booking histories. The software also offers a point-of-sale module which helps users to record all their sales and orders in a single place and maintain a cash register. With the help of a stock control module, users receive notifications when inventory levels are low.

Ease of booking and streamlined customer connection.

Pros

Many systems already in the software make our interactions with our clients easy and efficient. Great booking software with plenty of report analysis to check our growth and progress. They listen to consumer suggestions and are constantly improving the software and adding new features.

Cons

Some of the clickable icons are not obvious or intuitive. Some text that can be clicked on for additional options doesn't always look like a clickable button.

Hoping to get many benefits with all the reports and learning more about the system.
Not had it long enough to say yet. Had training yesterday and will go live next week. Looking forward to using the system and eventually will go online.

Pros

Everything has been considered for the beauty industry and thought through. I like the fact that you've worked out all points for treat cards and the software is marketing targeted.

The support team are brilliant and always happy to support and help where they can. Customer service excellent too. I like that its iCloud based . I like the reports too when they work!!

Cons

We can not book colour online because we can't book across three chairs !! Was promised we would be able to do this in the sales pitch - yet to happen and have resigned myself to accepting that it wont work as I don't think there is a way for it to happen. We are very happy we moved over to Phorest anyway and 4 years on, we like it and have just purchased another license for you new salon ( so it cant be bad!! )

Paper work and reports reduced.

Pros

Easy to use and stylish. Friendly staff and good training options. Only new to the system this week.

Cons

You cant leave a note for staff members on their heading. Texts seem quite expensive. Unsure if I can but these in bulk or a package

A basic ability to manage my clients and have good records for historical that is easily accessible.

Pros

Simple and easy to use. A good way to monitor what is going on.
It is easy to manage appointments. The support team is always on hand to support and advise with any potential issues that may arise.

Cons

Tricky having the initial training before the software was installed in the Salon. So some of the functionality that exists around permissions and betters ways of using the system was hard to take in at the time.

Very easy to use. Great marketing ability! Access from anywhere with phorest go is an awsome way to always know what's going on.

Cons

Would love the ability to track product/ color that staff is using by the exact amount. Example: 1/2 a tube 1/4 of tube.

This program is not meeting our needs. It deletes clients and inventory from our system, you can't track new requests, new non requests, It's almost impossible to get a quick response when problems arise. all of you contact info is with down or the phone numbers aren't in service. I want to cancel my account but can't seem to find the right person to talk to.
