BigContacts Software


BigContacts provides a cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing system designed especially for small businesses to establish and nurture leads through the sales process. Information is stored in the cloud and accessed through a web-browser.

Contact information for prospects is visible with comments and links to their social media pages and accounts can be setup and imported in less than one hour. Members of the sales team can record phone calls, send emails, and complete other tasks with a single click. All email correspondence, meetings, and updated opportunities are all included within the contact history. BigContacts also alerts users when specific emails are opened.

The built-in scheduler lists all meetings and tasks and can be sorted by the day, week, or month. Each event links to the contact’s information page. Any tasks that may not have a particular time set are stored in the user’s to-do list.

Big Contacts is an okay CRM

It is a cost effective CRM program.

Pros

The CRM is easy to use. It is cost effective.

Cons

It is hard to export your data. There is no App for smartphone or tablet use.

Big Contacts is a great CRM for small business

We went with Big Contacts after Cisco bought WebEx and then disbanded the product. While at the time BC didn't meet all our needs it was the best fit at an affordable price. Since then many functions have been improved and added. We need BC for our contact database. It is extremely easy to segment our database by customized tags. We use it every day to manage our marketing campaigns, sales process, and generally manage our business.

Pros

We have been Big Contact subscribers for over six year. Here's why we like it:
1. easy to use
2. works well for a team of people working together
3. the task reminders are a great function
4. the reporting function is fairly easy to use

Cons

The things we'd wish were added or improved are:
1. better connection of email to outlook

Just like Salesforce but much cheaper

Pros

It's a cheaper CRM than Salesforce, but is a great way to keep track of customers and potential prospects.

Cons

The navigation of the site took a while for me and my team to get used to. and it was also a bit difficult figuring out how to sync it with mail chimp.

Highly Satisfied

I am excited to begin working with the Marketing, Task, Meeting and Sales Cycle features as well as integrating my email. I would encourage anyone looking for a contact platform to use BigContacts as it will meet your expectations!

Pros

I am not in need of a "Over The Top" CRM platform. Contact management is most important to me and they did this in spades. I am excited that it works with Constant Contact and the potential to work with Badger Mapping.

Cons

I was worried about the import process, but the customer representatives were great and made the process simple and complete.

I like how easy BigContacts made it for me to organize and communicate with my customers in an efficient and effective way.

Cons

I didn't like how long it took me to become comfortable with the system layout but overall it is a regular sort of learning curve.

Beneficial for Business operators all around

The to-do lists are a total savior sometimes when you are busy and take a second to look at your list.

Pros

Adjusting to working with the software is very easy, users can share information and view each others activities related to certain job tasks. Also allows you to keep notes on system so that you can keep better track on your work.

Cons

Updating contacts when their information changes can be tricky because you must add another contact and then it can become confusing when trying to figure out which one is correct.

So-so CRM

The benefits are the ease of use and the price; however, given some of the difficulties with the program, we would have went with another CRM.

Pros

Very easy to use, email forwarding is beneficial. They have email templates, but we don't use them. Social media updates are useful.

Cons

The CRM freezes at times, or fails to update tasks logged. They do not have an actual app and this really cannot be used on a tablet or smartphone. Customer support is not the most helpful. If you decided to switch, getting your data download is a headache.

Cheap CRM = Cheap Service

While bigcontacts seems like a nice alternative to the other complicated systems, they are completely asleep at the wheel. You are only as strong as your weakest link.

Pros

It was easy to set up until I had a problem. That's when the support could have really shined and showed that if I had a problem they would be there to help.

Cons

8 day response to customer support request. They don't number their service tickets so it's obvious they really have no system in place to track any issues. There is also no way to contact by phone anywhere on the site. When a customer service rep does email back there still is no phone option.

This is the best cloud contact management software I have found to date.

Retention of business along with new business.

Pros

I really like the integrated email marketing campaigns. Very helpful in securing new business and staying in touch with clients

Cons

The mobile end of things could be improved. I'm on the go a lot and this function is important when out of the office.

Big Contacts 3 Is a Huge Improvement!

I've been using BC@ for 2 years. it was kind of clunky. To move from one file to the next you has to refresh or go back to the master lisst. They recently added a TASKS taab so you can skip this step. BC3 is a smooth experience. It is easy to glide from task to task. Occasionally the customer page where you enter results reverts back to a DOS style screen, which then requires me to restar the computer. This is the only flaw.

This program is very unreliable and buggy

I tried to use this program to track real estate leads. It was very time consuming to enter the information because they have crammed too much information on the contacts page so you are constantly scrolling. Next, the program had a problem and stopped showing all of my contacts. It would only show the first 25. This was complicated by the fact that it would duplicate and sometimes triple an individual contact for no reason. Finally, when the add contact page stopped opening, I gave up. Now all 68 of my new contacts are gone. Thanks but no thanks to Big Contacts.

An easy-to-use and full featured CRM for non-tech people

Big Contacts allows me to keep tabs on all aspects of my client relationships and does so in an easy-to-learn manner. That allowed me to convince my colleagues to embrace using it throughout our team and the learning process was painless. I particularly enjoy the level of customization available and use this to create reports that are very useful to me. The summary page in contact view of a business is comprehensive and very helpful to have open when meeting or talking with a client. The Big Contacts Support Team has always been very prompt and thorough whenever I have had a question. I enthusiastically endorse this product and company!

Works ok way too sale-y not very flexible

Steps for setting up things are pretty cumbersome. I really don't use it much anymore as everything I want is some additional expense (spell check used to be an "add -on" now email confirmation is). We use an event software that is much more responsive, flexible and easy to use and all-inclusive. BigContacts stores the data and lets me send emails. That's about it - ps lots of emails in the history have been lost over time. I just stick with it because all my data is there now....

BP: the FB of all things real estate (minus drama)

I use it often as a free user for searches & plan to upgrade my membership to a PRO very soon. I have met many very nice people more than willing to help others get their RE careers off the ground.

Pros

It's FREE! The podcasts are a great way to get you back on track quickly when you find a dead end & wanna just toss your hands in the air & quit.
