BigContacts software


BigContacts provides a cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing system designed especially for small businesses to establish and nurture leads through the sales process. Information is stored in the cloud and accessed through a web-browser.

Contact information for prospects is visible with comments and links to their social media pages and accounts can be setup and imported in less than one hour. Members of the sales team can record phone calls, send emails, and complete other tasks with a single click. All email correspondence, meetings, and updated opportunities are all included within the contact history. BigContacts also alerts users when specific emails are opened.

The built-in scheduler lists all meetings and tasks and can be sorted by the day, week, or month. Each event links to the contact’s information page. Any tasks that may not have a particular time set are stored in the user’s to-do list.

    I like how easy BigContacts made it for me to organize and communicate with my customers in an efficient and effective way.

    Cons

    I didn't like how long it took me to become comfortable with the system layout but overall it is a regular sort of learning curve.

    The to-do lists are a total savior sometimes when you are busy and take a second to look at your list.

    Pros

    Adjusting to working with the software is very easy, users can share information and view each others activities related to certain job tasks. Also allows you to keep notes on system so that you can keep better track on your work.

    Cons

    Updating contacts when their information changes can be tricky because you must add another contact and then it can become confusing when trying to figure out which one is correct.

    The benefits are the ease of use and the price; however, given some of the difficulties with the program, we would have went with another CRM.

    Pros

    Very easy to use, email forwarding is beneficial. They have email templates, but we don't use them. Social media updates are useful.

    Cons

    The CRM freezes at times, or fails to update tasks logged. They do not have an actual app and this really cannot be used on a tablet or smartphone. Customer support is not the most helpful. If you decided to switch, getting your data download is a headache.

    While bigcontacts seems like a nice alternative to the other complicated systems, they are completely asleep at the wheel. You are only as strong as your weakest link.

    Pros

    It was easy to set up until I had a problem. That's when the support could have really shined and showed that if I had a problem they would be there to help.

    Cons

    8 day response to customer support request. They don't number their service tickets so it's obvious they really have no system in place to track any issues. There is also no way to contact by phone anywhere on the site. When a customer service rep does email back there still is no phone option.

    I really like the integrated email marketing campaigns. Very helpful in securing new business and staying in touch with clients

    The mobile end of things could be improved. I'm on the go a lot and this function is important when out of the office.

    I've been using BC@ for 2 years. it was kind of clunky. To move from one file to the next you has to refresh or go back to the master lisst. They recently added a TASKS taab so you can skip this step. BC3 is a smooth experience. It is easy to glide from task to task. Occasionally the customer page where you enter results reverts back to a DOS style screen, which then requires me to restar the computer. This is the only flaw.

    I tried to use this program to track real estate leads. It was very time consuming to enter the information because they have crammed too much information on the contacts page so you are constantly scrolling. Next, the program had a problem and stopped showing all of my contacts. It would only show the first 25. This was complicated by the fact that it would duplicate and sometimes triple an individual contact for no reason. Finally, when the add contact page stopped opening, I gave up. Now all 68 of my new contacts are gone. Thanks but no thanks to Big Contacts.

    Big Contacts allows me to keep tabs on all aspects of my client relationships and does so in an easy-to-learn manner. That allowed me to convince my colleagues to embrace using it throughout our team and the learning process was painless. I particularly enjoy the level of customization available and use this to create reports that are very useful to me. The summary page in contact view of a business is comprehensive and very helpful to have open when meeting or talking with a client. The Big Contacts Support Team has always been very prompt and thorough whenever I have had a question. I enthusiastically endorse this product and company!

    Steps for setting up things are pretty cumbersome. I really don't use it much anymore as everything I want is some additional expense (spell check used to be an "add -on" now email confirmation is). We use an event software that is much more responsive, flexible and easy to use and all-inclusive. BigContacts stores the data and lets me send emails. That's about it - ps lots of emails in the history have been lost over time. I just stick with it because all my data is there now....

    I've been using this software for several years. It has a few areas that could be tweaked a bit, but for the price , this product gives a lot for money.

    I overall love the software and find it useful. Two wishes are compatibility with an app so that I can navigate while on the road better. Also wish I can change the order of tasks at will to show the most recent first if I need to.

    We were looking for a minimally priced task list and fully customizable program to track our guests and clients and have found that Big Contacts offers the best functionality.

    I love the ease of adding contacts. I wish there was an easier way for group emails, you should be able to just get an email report without getting everyone. Also it tells you an email may be wrong but you have no way of knowing which one it is. Other than that I love the program. Templates are so easy to make and use.

    I have been with my director sales company for over 6 years, and a leader for 5 of those. While I LOVE creating systems, and using them, paper just wasn't working for me, and I was inconsistent, and drowning, trying to keep up with my customers, hostesses, and my team. In February, I decided to "try" big contacts for 3 months, with the agreement of my husband that if we didn't see significant improvement, I would stop using it. Just TWO months in, and I earned my highest commission check ever! I have systems for everything now, and nothing gets lost because I didn't open my planner! I am in front of my computer daily, so all it takes is logging in, and working down my task list. I have referred many people to BigContacts, and they all thank me profusely after using it!

    BC is easy to use, however there are many times that it lags. While inputting another a new client, the screens don't always change with the tabs, then you have to close it out and restart it. Other times while entering in addional information the system lags. As far as the way the program is set up, that part is easy to use and understand.
