Infusionsoft is a cloud-based sales and marketing solution that offers customer relationship management (CRM), marketing automation and e-commerce functionalities in a suite. It helps small businesses across various industries deliver sales volumes and customer service experiences.

Users can segment their contacts, track customer interactions, send emails and run campaigns setting triggers for personalized communications based on email opens, clicks and more. Users can also manage their e-commerce, from inventory management to payments and purchase fulfillment, set up online shopping carts, track activity in their digital storefront, send quotes, invoices and receipts.

We were a loyal IS customer for 10 years until...

Product is fine, but management, support and client service leaves a lot to be desired.

Pros

The product itself is very useful and good. While there are no "perfect" automation apps on the market that fulfill all our requirements, IS did a relatively good job of it.
They've been pushing lots of regular updates which is good, but doesn't make up for what I'll describe in the Cons section.

Cons

Many other automation apps have built-in features that are very useful, but Infusionsoft requires a LOT of 3rd party apps (which adds on a lot of costs for a small business) to do a lot of things other apps have out of the box. As mentioned, I understand no app on the market is 100% perfect and the other apps have their own deficiencies.
The worst part of Infusionsoft is not the product itself (the product is relatively good) but it's the entire management and customer support that is problematic.

Often times, chat support (while friendly & quick), is not very familiar with the IS product. Often times, it's the we the customers who know more than they do.

Finally, as mentioned, we were with IS for 10yrs and then they decided to raise our price by 400% giving us only 30 days notice via email (and a poorly written one). This has caused a furor amongst long-time clients & resulted in a large exodus of long-time clients. Apparently the new management didn't really care, despite many of thus believed we were grand-fathered into our original plans.

All in all, many of us felt it was poorly handled by management and that's why we left them after ten years, despite the pain of migrating to a new platform.

They are trying to expand globally but IS is still not really setup to work internationally. We were probably one of the first companies in Asia to use them and they completely ignored our feedback or even show any interest us when we attended a live seminar with them.

A Robust CRM With A Huge Learning Curve But Customer Support Is Excellent!

Infusionsoft is one of the most robust CRM platforms you can use! It's amazing for automating your email marketing, capturing your customer profile, controlling membership access and even has some accounting functionality (cash reports). I used this product for one of my clients and it made customer management a breeze

Pros

I love that it's an all-in-one CRM, Sales and Marketing solution that houses everything from income reporting to email automation and so much more. It eliminates the need for many other business tools.

Cons

This is one of the best CRM software platforms to-date. There is no con that I can think of but there is definitely a learning curve so I recommend training for anyone thinking of using it.

No Time To Learn

Pros

I like the email campaign function. I have not been able to experience the other benefits yet.

Cons

I do not like the fact that I feel I am on a island when it comes to learning all the features the software has to offer. Yes you get a little one on one training but when that is done, you have to find the time to watch videos to teach yourself or pay a fee to get more help.

Should be called Confusionsoft

Customer service tries very hard to be helpful

Pros

Can track things in a very deep way with tagging.

Cons

VERY EXPENSIVE! also, there is no way I can use this myself so in addition to the outrageous cost for the monthly fees, I have to pay others to do everything for me. As a result, I feel very disconnected from my data and can't make great decisions because they don't know what I need and I don't know what to ask them.

Also because you do very complex tracking, it is very cumbersome and confusing and difficult to use for basic funnels.

Infusionsoft email marketing

Pros

It has incredible power for certain industries and applications. Knowledge and consulting companies as well as service companies can create impressive customer centric automated communication interfaces. It's particularly well suited for building out applications that can be deployed across industries.

Cons

It's sufficiently complicated that most users need a strong development team or contractor to build it out and maintain it. The biggest problem we encountered was having the product change after investing in a massive build out. The changes required rebuilding the entire application to work with the new architecture. That's when we abandoned the product.

Serious kit for serious marketing

A very big suite of tools. Expect to need the time to invest in it or pay someone to do it for you. Customer support was poor.

Good for money, but need more explanation

I am using infusionsoft to build out drip campaign for lead generation. So far, it's been great, just getting used to everything is a big learning curve.

Infusionsoft Is a Great Tool for Many Businesses

There have been times that I wanted to throw in the towel - remember, I was a brand new business owner and really had no idea what I was doing!! I learned the hard way - by screwing up, then learning how to fix what was broken (hey - I still do this sometimes!!). I will say that it's been a game-changer for me and I'm still learning new things that benefit me AND my clients each and every day. Support is super-helpful and there is an entire community of terrific people who try new things and are very open to share what they learn!!

Pros

I have been using Infusionsoft for years. I love that I can setup an email campaign, load a form onto my site, and people who complete that form will drop into that campaign to receive my marketing. I love it even better that they will BUY from me because of these campaigns.

Cons

I didn't understand marketing, automation, integrations, sales, or business (and many other things) when I started with Infusionsoft. I was just starting my businesses and had no idea what I needed, but a couple of my clients had it, so I learned it for them, then got it for myself. I have internal processes setup for things I do on a regular basis and I have processes setup for things clients do on a regular basis. I love knowing that when "X" happens, "Y" will come next, followed by "Z".

I see the value but ...

Good, but not great. Decided not to continue past the initial year commitment purely because we do not have the man power to successfully implement and run the software seamlessly.

Pros

The customizability is a wonderful feature, especially if you're a business that doesn't typically fit into one of the easy business categories (finance, medical, engineer, etc.). Everything was super organized and you can tell the software is just excellently developed. Also, I could definitely see how helpful, "smart", and different from other CRM softwares Infusionsoft could be once you had everything set up and running smoothly.

Cons

Everything about Infusionsoft is COMPLETELY customizable; which is really great, but also then a lot of work. I'm from a very small company (less than 10 people) and for us, it was almost too customizable because of how much time and training was required. For a company that is larger, or has an entire IT department, it would probably be a wonderful option. For us, it ended up being a con because after the 5 week training program, multiple books purchased, and literally months spent devoted to the software, it still wasn't up and running like a well oiled machine. Yes, we could have put in more time, but since we are a small company without a designated department for IT, it was taking too much time away from other jobs and tasks. Also, it is much more expensive than a lot of other similar softwares on the market and at least when we signed up, you had to sign a year long contract.
