GoCanvas is a cloud-based mobile business management system suitable for field service companies, including electrical, HVAC, pest control and plumbing. The solution is designed to work on any smartphone or tablet and can also be accessed on Windows computer via Windows app.
GoCanvas offers a dispatch calendar that allows users to create and assign jobs to field operators. The form builder tool can be used to create customized service forms using drag-and-drop interface. Contact management, billing, invoicing, work order management, and scheduling are all offered as standalone options, so users can choose just one or combine applications to best fit the company’s needs.
GoCanvas allows for data integration and the data auto-populates into the customized apps. This data can then be shared, and the system encrypts it using SSL grade encryption.
The solution is available on a per user per month subscription and offers support via phone, email and live chat.

The ease of use for learners, teachers, and admins is hard to beat. There is so much functionality with very little work in maintenance.
Its hard to find something really bad. The only thing I can think of is if you want customization for an organization, the thresholds for users is maybe a bit high.
If you have any sort of learning institute within your organization, whether corporate or not, this can be a useful tool. If you have classes that involve coursework over time, this is the best way to organize the course, distribute information to the learners, and have learners submit work and interact with each other and the instructor.

Work with the crew to create your sheets. This is similar to any other program you put in place in that if you don't use it, it cannot help you. Create your sheets, learn it, use it, and worry about other things.

Our favorite things about GoCanvas are that it's easy to set up on the backend (meaning you don't need formal IT training), it's easy for our employees to fill in the forms on their phones, and their customer support is GREAT! They are always very quick to respond to questions or comments.

I like this as you can build forms that customers can fill in on mobile, avoiding all the hassle that comes from giving customers paper forms. The forms are very flexible. You can even put in numerical fields which will automatically produce calculations, multiple choice sections or even a section for signatures! It's very easy to make. You just drag and drop. There are even templates for commons situations which streamline the process further.
It's fast and easy to use, so there is nothing to complain about. When you first use it, it has too many helpful boxes that guide you on what to do (which is a little annoying) but they disappear after first use.

Quick turn around time to get something on line without waiting on an internal IT team to work it into their already busy schedule.
Ease of use. I've been able to design it exactly like we wanted and make multiple changes through our testing process and immediately see the changes. Pricing is reasonable too.
I've struggled a bit with the calendar/dispatch feature. Maybe some more clarifying help files on this will do the trick, but there doesn't appear to be very robust options on pre-scheduling dispatches across the country.

Seems very flexible and easy to customize. Like the Workflow and Dispatch features allowing you to assign submissions to specific people and get those back.
When building the pdf, if you make a mistake or delete something by mistake, it would be nice to have an undue and redue button. Also, need to allow for color changes with fonts and other font features like being able to make certain text within a text field to be bold, italized, or a different color, without it making all the text in that box change.

The most fantastic part about GoCanvas is allowing everything to be digital therefore we are capable of receiving documentation from our employees even when they are on the road.
Sometimes it is difficult to create documentations and I wish you didn't have to pay to have the rep create it for you.

It is very easy to use in the field when I am meeting with a homeowner. They can sign my contracts right in their living room and it goes straight until a PDF. I like the layout of the program and customization. It has made my field team much more efficient and look more professional in the field.
If we have to change any documents, it is a bit difficult for our admin to do so. We have used it for a few years and there aren't many things that I would say are cons for Go Canvas.

I love the time that it saves us. Canvas allows us to be much more efficient with our time. I also like that it keeps our inspectors from forgetting to check certain things while on site, eliminating extra trips out.
The initial set up phase to get your apps set up takes a lot of effort. Canvas does offer a setup service that would streamline this though. Did not take advantage of this service. Much quicker and cheaper than having custom apps set up though.

Pricing scheme of per user gets very expensive. We had one user account that several employees would use to submit the same form. A busy week would see 4 submissions by 3 employees. Canvas insisted we pay for multiple users which in fairness meant 5 users at a discounted rate (depending on USD exchange)...simply not practical

The ability to write up a work order or fill out a purchase order and also fill out my timesheet right in the field or right at a wholesale house right on my phone
I like how I'm able to write up a work order or a purchase order and my timesheet right on my phone. And that I can also go back through them later and edit them and add things or delete things.
I do wish that when you fill out a purchase order that there would be a feature that would Incorporated onto the accompanying work order.
The app designer is really easy to use, even after not knowing anything about it. I was able to modify an existing app's functionality very quickly and after reading almost no documentation. It was just easy to figure out how to do what I wanted - very intuitive.
There are still some features not implemented that seem pretty important - off the top of my head, nested lists are kind of janky and multi-depth dropdowns that filter on more than one column.

My only complaint about the software is every time I make a change to an app it creates a new version therefore when I have to do a download of a project that has already been running for a year I have to make sure I am downloading the data from every version.
