PestPac, a WorkWave software, is a web-based field service management solution, offering unique, features to improve productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction. PestPac is a scalable solution that can serve single technicians or large business with hundreds of technicians and staff.

PestPac provides a convenient solution to track and manage field technician activity, sales processes, job scheduling, customer invoicing and billing. The solution offers robust tools to improve lead flow, optimize route plans, and track appointments. The digital logbook allows back-end users to navigate through documents, inspection reports, certifications and other key business documents. In addition to the core features, the solution also offers few additional modules like GPS tracking and route optimization to enhance product capabilities.

The service performance measurement tool helps businesses gain insights into new opportunities and monitor their service quality. The solution can also be accessed using PestPac Mobile application available for both Android and iPhone devices. Field technicians can time in and out of service appointments, add proof of service, get directions for service location, and accept customer signatures and payments with PestPac mobile apps.

    A bit intimidating at first, but...

    It took a solid 6 weeks or so to really get the hang of it, but now I would be lost without it. It is very thorough with providing all of the information that a pest control company might need to run a successful business.

    Pros

    Lots of features. Easy to use. Very detailed. Great list of reports and functions.

    Cons

    Can be a bit intimidating when you first start to learn the software.

    The idea is good and having agreements, gps and other aspects are pretty good ideas, when it works, if the product work and didnt have to wait for calls back durring work ours and pricing would be better.

    Cons

    Customer service, pricing is costly, nickel a dime you for every little module, I started with this and ended up having to pay alot more after transitioning over and you become stuck, then you get a call when your having issues sometimes a day later or several days later, modules that dont work because issues you still have to pay, for instant, we have been paying and they make sure you pay and the contract module to send to customers isnt working. this is one of a few issues.. then they reconcile you account for the benefit of them making more money not to make sure the clients are taken care of but to make sure that we are paying them. example was they reconciled my account and took off a user that they said we havent been paying for and was part of the initial agreement so they removed this and now we cant all log in at the same time. Or we are paying for lead management, its not working for weeks yet we still have to pay, so much more.... I had windows version since 1999 and switched over to cloud based and 1st they always answered the phone and fixed issues right away, now its not the same...

    I liked that it was pretty consistent and very user friendly. I was able to get things done easily because I felt like it was easy to maneuver.

    Cons

    I didn't like how it would pull up peoples information sometimes and it would glitch out. It also sometimes was very slow at times

    In the short amount of time I have used Pestpac (1 month) I have found it to be a reliable, user friendly program.

    Pros

    This product provides an easy way to manage your clients, chemicles, and service. It takes the work out of chronicle application rates and it makes up selling secondary services much easier.

    Cons

    Once you close an appointment it's hard to re-open it. This makes it harder for people with fat fingers who tend to hit the wrong buttons.

    Super helpful to scheduling routes, invoicing, follow-up calls, and overall tracking / maintaining customer list & information.

    Cons

    Not the most user friendly, because it is such a big piece of software.. but customer support is very useful to assist.

    Pros

    We are a startup pest control company in California and have used PestPac for two years. It is web-based, so a totally familiar browser based experience. Good support form sales reps. Regular software updates. The company was founded as Marathon Data Systems, rebranded a few years ago as Workwave and was recently bought by a European investment group called IFS. The company serves a variety of field service companies including pest control.

    Cons

    >One of the most expensive solutions with relatively very high base rate and monthly per-user fees compared to similar alternatives.
    >Outdated interface that significantly limits how quickly our staff can work with software. For example, there is no use of pre-fetching data, batch uploads, continuous backup, data validation, etc. Data moving between your computer and the AWS server has periods of noticeable lag even with high speed internet access. Data moving to and from your device and server are limited to one operation at a time.
    >The parts of the software staff see are not intuitive and difficult to use. Although parts of the software see regular updates, these updates seem aimed mainly at larger accounts with more advanced customer relationship systems. The data entry screens, state forms, reports, etc., have not seen any meaningful updates in years.
    > There are numerous bugs in the online system that have persisted the whole time we've used Pestpac. Some things are given attention, others never make it. Many of the support requests on their product forums remain unaddressed for months or years.
    > The company seems to spread itself thin by focusing on on sales to several kinds of small field service based businesses. The quality of the user experience with PestPac is lacking, and probably similar to others' experience.

    Customer support has always been great! They will help you resolve any issues that you may have or even if you made a mistake, they help you fix it! I would highly recommend this software.

    Everything you need in one place. Calling, texting, emailing and scheduling...easy as 1-2-3! Customer support is outstanding as well.

    I spend over 30 years in corporate management of the large, national pest control company before I left and bought 2 local pest companies. I can tell you PestPac is loaded with features that the larger companies would die to have! I went paperless 30 days after integrating all of my accounts into the system. Reduced the need for 1 office person/bookkeeper. Technicians love the app on their I-phone and can review the orders for the upcoming week/month. What I like best is the ability for techs to take pictures and embed in the work order to alert our customers what we have done for them during the service (removed a wasp nest, killed an ant mound, moved dog bowls, etc). Great overall software!

    Cons

    It is not really easy to learn and the only way to learn is by trial and error. The initial trainer assigned to my account was not very knowledgeable - so after I complained they assigned the best of the best and she was AWESOME!

    Overall it has been a good investment. Knowledge of the software is the key.

    Pros

    Easy invoicing, posting, and emailing. Great selection of reports; Keeps track of chemical use, which is very helpful whereas I will need an end of year report for the Maine Dept. of Agriculture. Mobile friendly.

    Cons

    It took me awhile to understand the basics; I have not grown beyond that. Complicated....We haven't had the time to use all the data the is available to us . I would like to get tips to help us expand out knowledge of the software.

    Very detailed work and keeps track of all your chemical use and notes and billing. The mobile app is good too.

    Cons

    A little high in price. They charge for adding other things like ipm service . They have a lot of tables to fill out before using. Not for small company.

    There is a task feature, so you can create tasks for yourself or others so you can schedule follow ups or check back in with clients. In the past, this has been very helpful, however, with the last update, they have changed the task feature. It still keeps all your tasks in one place, but it is much more difficult to navigate and you basically have to open up the task in one window and open separate windows to view customers accounts to see the history.

    Really great software overall, but it is on the pricy side.

    Pros

    The software makes it really easy to track the progress of work that is being done. When can easily keep track of how many pests are caught/sighted in hotel rooms, apartment units, or single family homes. You can also set up to automatically schedule follow ups, that way nothing gets missed or forgotten. They have good reporting features to keep track of things. When an apartment manager wants to see one progress on one specific unit, we can pull a report just on the one apartment, instead of giving them everything, so it's easier for the managers to distinguish and read the reports.

    Cons

    Description states compatible with most tablets; this was untrue so we purchased all new tablets from recommended list. On a good day, product is extremely cumbersome & time consuming. After using successfully for a few months product experiences frequent service interruptions, everything from logging you out once job is started to gps not working to sluggish performance. Extremely frustrating for technician trying to get through the day. Support tries to blame it on user error & signal, both of which have been tested and found to be fine. This product indeed this company are not recommended.

    Features like running credit cards on field and auto entering tax codes when adding customers are what we absolutely have to have.

    Cons

    This software is not user friendly and takes a long time to learn the ins and outs. I have seen there will be a lot of changes next month so I'm hoping this will help.

    Support staff are always there to answer questions and deliver the information understandable

    Geared towards pest control industry and has everything I need. The software is streamlined to what I have been searching for.

    Cons

    Very large system and takes time to learn. Unfortunately I do not have the time to sit and complete the training in a more timely manner. Therefore I have to input all the information very slowly.

    The software is very easy for the support staff users. I like the no nonsense format and clear details at your fingertips.

    Cons

    The major hurdle for a startup company would be the pricing schedule. It's a tad high for an entry level pest control business.

    It has been very difficult to use, where as, I am a Quickbooks user and it is so different. I only use, (know how to use, a small fraction of what the software capability is)

    What really would be nice is to have a one on one in person at my desktop training or a class in town. I have a hard time to take extra hours out of my day to study video training, where I feel I still may not quite get it. I would though make a point to take time out of my day to go to an actual class, where I feel it would be beneficial.

    Pros

    Reports- Keeps track of the chemical use. I like that my applicator can input information, while working in the field. I like the automated emails and how it separates the bill- to from the location of service. I like the way the invoices and statements look.

    Cons

    Time consuming to learn how this software works. Over the phone training is not for me. Although the one on one is very nice, but I feel Webinars would be a better way to educate.
