GPS Insight is a cloud-based fleet tracking solution. It is offered in three editions: Standard targets small fleets of up to 25 vehicles, Pro is for businesses with 26 or more vehicles and Enterprise is for large fleets of more than 500 vehicles.

GPS Insight Standard allows users to access all fleet information in one interface. They can retrieve histories for vehicles in their fleet, manage their fleet from a mobile app and generate scheduled reports. It offers different tracking devices for different kinds of vehicles.

GPS Insight Pro features unlimited users and driver scorecards. This edition also integrates with Garmin. The Enterprise edition includes geographical information system (GIS) integration and custom reporting. Both of these upgraded editions allows users to use GPS tracking to track their key performance indicators (KPIs).

GPS Insight Pro is priced per vehicle per month. Mobile apps are available for Android and iOS. 24/7 technical support is offered.

Very easy product to set up and use. Can be linked to fuel cards. Also, tons of standard reports, including state mileage and idling reports.

Cons

The physical GPS units themselves seem to have constant technical issues. Also, the E-log is an upgrade to the standard product which costs more.

More efficient response to emergency requests. And verifying time spent at a location is easily documented.

Pros

Real-time tracking only a minute or so delayed which is close enough for our purposes. Knowing a technicians location allows us to efficiently redirect as customer requests come in.

Vehicle locations

Pros

Units are easy to install on new vehicles, just plug in. Units capture usable location information and information on performance of vehicles.

Cons

On older vehicles, fuses blow easily causing the unit to go out, because the unit is attached to obd connector in cigarette lighter.

Knowing what the work force is doing and having documentation of when and how they did.

Pros

I like being able to look up how a driver is performing and going back in time to specific days. I like seeing where drivers are using the app on my phone. I like sending messages and responding to messages from my desktop.

Cons

When assigning fobs and retrieving Fleet data for services could be more user friendly. MOST OF THE FUNCTIONALITY IS GREAT. Sometimes it seams a little difficult to operate.

availability to control the time spend our on delivery and been able to track if the drivers go off route.

Pros

its really acurate and it has help us keep track of where our delivery trucks are going or where they are at any moment. also improves our control on fuel use by using the idle-ling report.

Cons

Some GPS units will get lost and during that down time we cant track the route of the truck.
and to be able to fix it the tech requires us to have the truck with us to trouble shoot it. but to do that we will have to bring back the delivery truck from it's route.

Being able to always know what is happening with our equipment has many benefits. We are still evaluating what we are able to obtain from this information.

Pros

The flexibility and control of changing the views, reports and dashlets is great. I'm able to easily create different dashboard views for different modes of analysis or presentations for Executive review of the equipment activity.

I appreciate the up to date software, that offers items such as reports and maintenance alerts.
The ability to add stop notes are a bonus as well.

Cons

Often fleet will go out of range, due to the area with no service. Certain times a vehicle will be out of range and we need to determine if they are idle or moving.

Helps keep track of vehicles on order to make sure we arrive on time to costumers. It helps with reports when we do audits on route.

Pros

It shows and updates in speed of our vehicles. Alerts when speeding good report data detailed easy to read also has a map trail that's easy to under stand and has street view very helpful

It does not follow vehicles live you have to wait for system to update sometimes it gets a little confusing but makes up with reports

Control the route more in a more accurate way, and confirm that the job its really done.

Pros

Im able to go back and see the routes to confirm a past day of visit to a customer, but all the features Im able to use are great.

Cons

I wish I can see the time that takes a trip from one point to other when Im seeing the route of the vehicles.
wish Im able to create a report of the times of start and end of the daily route of every vehicle for pay roll purpose.

Tracking our trucks with accuracy, knowing who is speeding, knowing what routes they are taking. Also the feature of "who's closest" is very handy.

Cons

Some of the reports (stop/idle) are a little difficult to use at first to be able to verify time cards. But once we have gotten used to the reports, we are able to do what we need to.

Being able to track the trucks from my branch whether I'm doing investigations or routine checks, this systems has performed very well.

Pros

Easy to use and understand when I have to track the whereabouts of a vehicle that a complaint has been called in on, or tracking when a employee arrives to a site or is involved in an incident.

Cons

There are times where the system freezes our when the system goes out would prefer to receive an email about the issue instead on an email from the corporate office making me aware of the issue..

API Integration. Lots of good reports and automatic notifications. Garmin integration for fleet dispatching.

Like I said before knowing where the trucks are running what state or location they are at and checking their times for start and stop time.

Pros

I am able to look up any of our trucks on duty to see where they are or look at previous week/month and compare to my payroll times. For billing customer I like to use it for verifying hours for a delivery.

Cons

Very little this happens but sometimes the system will go down but we manage to get hold of customer service and have it running back up.
