Slow system for busy bars. Lots more extra work particularly if management don't know the business.

Checking out at the end of a shift is quick.

Not much else to report from a user perspective.




Cons

*Many extra steps no matter what it is you are doing. Even something simple takes a lot longer than most POS systems.
*Basic layout (key buttons) are counter intuitive.
*Slow between screens
*Difficult to find tabs unless you have a system worked out that works for everyone.
*Difficult to store checks with guest name/credit card.
*No control of screen brightness (not ideal for venues with low lighting)

I have used LMS for many years. I find the platform to be very stable. Agilysys is always making improvements on the system and are open to suggestions from users. There are many ways to set up the system so it works for your business. It integrates well with our financial system and it produces our daily entry automatically which saves times and reduces data input errors.

Pros

The platform is very stable and does not "crash" often like other systems I have worked with. New security features that allow you to lock down access by different job levels is nice.

Cons

More reports need to be available in Excel or in a exportable friendly format. The database data also needs to be available in a list format so it is easier to export and maintain.

Advice to Others

Take advantage of the training available for all levels of the organization. The more the users understand the system, the less errors and headaches later. Operations, IT and Finance need to be involved in the set up so everyone is able to obtain the results and reports they need.
