ADP Workforce Now is a human capital management solution for companies with more than 50 employees. The core capabilities of the solution include human resources management, payroll, benefits, talent management, compliance, time and labor management and analytics and benchmarking.

The fully integrated suite is built on a single database, which automates data synchronization across different components and helps users to minimize manual administrative tasks. The platform also integrates with other HR and business applications via the ADP Marketplace and APIs.

With ADP Workforce Now, clients also receive self-service tools for employees and manager, such as the widely used ADP Mobile app, to access paychecks, W-2s, timecards, benefit information and more; proactive compliance and regulatory alerts; external perspectives on making HR and business decisions with the help of ADP Benchmarking, the ADP Research Institute and ADP Professional Services; and access to a client community with more than 50,000 peers.

    Does a ton of stuff in one platform, makes it pretty easy to view pay history.

    Cons

    Not very intuitive at times, and can also be downright overwhelming. Would benefit from streamlining and simplifying the platform .

    Always answered my questions quickly and was never on hold for long if I had a problem.

    Pros

    I can do payroll remotely from anywhere, including cruise ships, hotels in Europe or anywhere I can get internet access. If that's not available, I can phone info in.

    Cons

    took me a while to convince ADP to let me access it from my MacBook Air and my ipad.

    My problem has been solved but while the process of implementing Time & Attendance, we incorporated a sick Leave policy for current and new hires, while we had an allowed and taken prior to keep track of the sick leave balances for employees, at the time of implementation of WorkforceNow the allowed and taken should off been deleted for accuracy and check stub purposes, which was never cancelled, I became aware of the issue when employees kept bringing their physical pay stubs showing inaccurate sick leave balances for two policies, thereafter a client service representative was able to solve problem as to have only one policy.

    This software has been beneficial for our company in all aspects such payroll transmission, changes, updates, reports etc. Great software to incorporate to a new company.

    I'm very happy using ADP for 300 plus employees for payroll processing and HR functions. I've tried other payroll processing companies over the years but always prefer ADP

    Pros

    Ease of use for payroll processing. GL Interface, love that I can schedule these files to be ready for download as soon as the payroll is complete.

    Cons

    Report writing functions although ADP recently updated their functionality, I haven't had a chance to use it yet so I may change my mind.

    Overall, WorkforceNow is a great product and accommodates our staff/offices across the state.

    Pros

    Functionality, easy for personnel to navigate and the way the screens encompass the information you need. The recent updates have simplified the payroll processing into fewer steps from start to moving to the next payperiod.

    Cons

    Reporting still seems to be difficult. Determining the right fields when building a report can be tedious and usually results in a phone call to make the final adjustments.
    Other reports take you to an outside portal which took me a long time to find since that wasn't shown this during the implementation process.

    Kind of expensive for small businesses. We are seasonal so have over 120 seasonal staff. This product makes it much easier on payroll day.

    Pros

    We have multiple companies under one management and this allows us to stay organized and submit payrolls through multiple businesses. They send checks/paystubs or you can opt out of pay stubs. Direct deposit is the way to go, but a debit card option is available.

    Cons

    Expensive. Charge extra for time clock feature.

    This is one of the most robust technical platforms on the market. The software has a full, rich feature set and is able to grow as we grow.

    Cons

    New features, which are rolled out frequently, are sometimes rolled out with errors that make them hard to use initially. For example, ADP was one of the first to roll out ACA tools, which is good. The tools were nearly unusable when they were first rolled out though, which is bad.

    Overall operational and administrative efficiency for all HR management related functions can be enhanced with WFN tool. Easy to get started with the tool with minimal self-training. Implementation process is thorough.

    Pros

    Ease of use and intuitive for the most part for both employee and admin (esp. for employee self-service); consistent update to add new features that can increase efficiency and user-friendliness; availability of set up for better compliance (e.g. ACA, etc.)

    Cons

    Reporting (custom reporting can be more robust and intuitive); modules that may be somewhat disconnected with the main WFN platform (i.e. ireport; Payroll GL sync; 401K, FSA, COBRA, etc.)

    Sold a global platform that does not exist

    AWFUL!!! US platform is good but we pay price/employee to add foreign names in the system. Streamline is archaic and the international services are despicable US customer service went to dedicated person who takes several days to return calls. That is NOT acceptable with a payroll product. On the positive side, there were some very good employees for the US implementation.

    Pros

    The portal is nice and fairly easy to use for domestic employees.

    Cons

    We moved to ADP because we were sold a global platform.
    Within 3 months of implementation in the US, we were told the global platform project was CANCELLED.
    We implemented in UK and have nothing but problems!!! We are charged per month for 11 employees and all we get is an archaic streamline portal with spreadsheet submission. They cannot process P11D for non resident employee with family living in the UK so we need to pay another firm to do so. We were switched to some employee who is trying hard but not very knowledgeable (took 2 weeks to get basic maternity leave figured out), we have had to re submit year end reports twice in 2 years, calendars for UK do not match the ADP posted calendar, and when we gave implementation a try in So Africa, ADP could not accommodate payslips and employee payments. What type of payroll service is that???!!! And now they want to charge us for 4 years when they could not deliver the basic service, In addition to that, we get hounded by other divisions trying to sell us new modules!!

    Payroll is easy to process, not time consuming. Love all aspects of WorkforceNow - the ease, the history, the payroll cycle, the ability to make all the changes myself (i.e. to payroll schedule, etc) without having to call an agent. Excellent product.

    Pros

    It's easy to use & is very intuitive. The multitude of help screens are useful. Have never had any issues w/maintenance upgrades....other software often has small kinks post maintenance.

    Love the product and especially since I can process payroll wherever I am; not tied to an office.

    Cons

    Haven't encountered an issue with the software in all the years of using it.
