ApplicantStack, is a cloud-based applicant tracking and employee onboarding solution specifically designed to suit the needs of small and midsize organizations in any industry.

ApplicantStack offers tools to help companies generate online employment applications, create and post new open positions, share positions on top job boards as well as social media sites and build screening questionnaires to accompany online applications. Users can track and manage candidates and allow them access to schedule interviews directly on a shared calendar. As a part of the onboarding module, users can manage new hire paperwork, communications, tasks and employee information in a single place. ApplicantStack provides a library of state and federal forms so new hires can electronically sign all documents, via their employee portal.

The solution is hosted in the cloud, so there is no need to invest in IT infrastructure or support. ApplicantStack provides a support portal as well as a help center which includes getting started videos. No long-term commitment or contract is required.

Great Product

I was a bit hesitant to go digital with our hiring process, but once we made the switch, I can't imagine going back. Tech support has always been friendly and accommodating, quick to get back with me when I have questions.

Pros

ApplicantStack keeps our hiring process streamlined. We no longer have to dig through piles or files to find relevant information about prospective employees. All our hiring paperwork is digital, from application to orientation materials.

Cons

I suppose the forms can be a bit tedious to create at times, but this isn't something you have to do often enough for it to be a problem.

The features allow you to quickly review and process applications. It captures decisions and enables communications to be managed in an efficient and constructive way

Pros

The automated features that mean you can process applications quickly and efficiently.

Cons

It would benefit from an automatic reminder of applications that need reviewing over a longer period of time, for applicants that are not quite ready for employment but might be at some future point.

First recruiting software that didn't make me crazy!

With the ability to capture the right candidates, ApplicantStack has been a great asset to our business.

Pros

I feel like there is a great dynamic of support in using this software. It is the first recruiting site I've used that didn't make me pull my hair out, the ease of use is fantastic.

Cons

I feel like the dashboard is a bit clunky, but all the necessities are there, so I can't complain too much!

Easy to use

Overall it has been a good experience. One problem that I have recently encountered is that we suddenly saw a drastic drop off in job applications being received by about 75%. I sent an email about it to see if there was anything I was missing. I never got a response, but the next day we had seven applications come in. It was just strange. But I do think that the service is a good one.

Pros

I enjoy how easy it is to use Applicant Stack. Reports are easily accessed and navigated to and being able to add job candidates that fill out paper/pencil applications is very helpful as well.

Cons

I feel like the customer support staff can sometimes just give you a by the book answer instead of giving you a way to resolve your problem. It can be a response that says, this is why you're having this problem rather than this is how you can fix your problem.

Awesome HR tool

ApplicantStack is allowing me the flexibility to post openings quickly and easily to multiple sites. It's also very simple to manage the entire process and myriad stages of the search using the software.

Pros

Ease of use, templates are intuitive, lots of options loaded in the software.

Cons

It isn't apparent what permissions are allowed with each level of user. I'd like to see that more clearly stated and scalable.

USSRC ApplicantStack Review

Tracking applicants have improved since we moved to ApplicantStack.

Pros

The ability to archive applicants, and edit functions.

Cons

I hate to say least because it is not an issue with ApplicantStack, but our company would be better serve if the system could merge with our payroll system. The only other issue is the speed, especially in the afternoon.

Sometimes when exporting the software not all completed areas of a form show up and I have to export 3-4 times. The application itself cannot be exported as a document and I am unable to share the application with Managers who are not users of applicant stack. The information does not feed into our payroll system.

ApplicantStack - Great for Small Business

Great product for a one person HR department. Great customer support.

Pros

You can not beat the value of ApplicantStack. You get an application tracker and onboarding tool at a cost a small business can afford. It also lets you create and easily post open positions on recruiting websites and your existing website.

Cons

Not really a con - Be prepared to invest the time to set it up correctly to work with your organization.

ApplicantStack Review

When I started with my current employer they were still doing paper applications. There were filing cabinets full of applications, spreadsheets tracking applicants for EEO reporting, all of that disappeared and we now have an easily accessible system with ApplicantStack. ApplicantStack is continuously coming up with new ideas and products that are above any other program I have looked at. Since starting with my company 3 1/2 years ago we now have two other manufacturing facilities that are using ApplicantStack. It's a hit with us!

Pros

Ease of use, and very fast transition for an easy / fast start-up.

Cons

The EEO reporting wasn't capable of letting me put in a range of dates so I had to ask for technical support. Technical support was very fast at getting me what I needed.

User Friendly

I like the ease of using ApplicantStack and it notifies me and gets me working on new applications with the notices it sends me. I have just started using it 3 months ago and it was very easy to learn.

Pros

I like how easy it is to navigate around ApplicantStack.

Cons

I haven't found anything that I dislike about this software.

Typically, I am really happy with the program. Only had a couple instances where it didn't meet my expectations, such as what I wrote in the Cons section above.

Pros

How easy it is to use the program, and also how easy it is to get in touch with customer service representatives.

Cons

There have been a couple times when I have received notification of an application received but then I look up the applicant's name and the application isn't there, but still shows as application complete.

We realized out applications were took long and complicated and we missed out on valuable applicants because of that. It's also easy track repeat applicant so we don't waste time with interview process.

Pros

It streamlines the hiring process and organizes all the information. I use use out of the reports to gauge trends in applications as well as to tweak hiring process for efficiency and ease.

Cons

The reports that I use on a monthly basis, mostly the TALENT POOLS LEADS malfunctions at every use and I have to run it several times before it will work work. Monthly for at least the last 16 months.

Time Saving program

My overall experience has been very positive. I have been able to reduce the time it takes me to review applications and reach out to those I wish to talk with.

Pros

I like that applicant Stack can flag apps that do not qualify for the position the person is applying for. I also like that it allows me to still view and contact the applicant to offer them a different position.

Pros

The software makes it able to review multiple candidates for the same position at one time.

Cons

It requires permission to view candidates which is not always helpful if you're an invited guest to an interview and have not been granted permission. It would be helpful if a hiring manager could grant view only access.
