Breezy HR is a recruiting platform for small and midsize businesses. The solution provides functionality for applicant sourcing and tracking, resume parsing, and video interviews and more.

The application is cloud-based and features a dedicated app for iOS devices so recruiters can use the platform on the go. Breezy HR comes with EEOC reporting capabilities, customizable career pages, and the Restful API so developers can tweak the software to their needs.

With a drag-and-drop interface, users can customize their pipeline and organize applicants in whichever order they please. Recruiters can connect with candidates via email using custom templates, auto-responding and interview scheduling capabilities for fast response times and organization.

Users can source candidates from LinkedIn, AngelList and other sites using a Google Chrome extension, and can post openings to multiple job boards with a single click.

Breezy HR is available in a variety of pricing tiers based on the number of job openings an organization has.

Cons

Easy to use, good customer support, very nice plans for choosing. Especially if you don't want to hire many employees, you can use UNO plan posting 1 vacancy for 1 month for free. It is shared also for free on Glassdoor, Upwork and other portals.

Cons

The other plans are also affordable, but a bit expensive in comparison with Recruitee software. So it depends on your company and budget.

I really enjoyed the drag and drop functionality - this makes Breezy enjoyable and easy to use. I would really recommend Breezy to any business wanting to adopt tech for the first time or even if one of the larger competitors have disappointed you. Breezy is easy to setup and understand.

You can get your hiring team up and running with a great recruiting solution within minutes. Breezy has some great features which compete with some of the more expensive options which is quite amazing. You can easy post jobs to multiple platforms like job boards, social media and LinkedIn on a free or paid option.

Cons

I could not really notice any cons as you can use it on a trial basis, also their no need to commit long term if you do not want. Also the price is very competitive so the investment required is also quite low.

The staff was very helpful and very responsive!

Pros

It's very simple to use, very clean and not too confusing like some other software I've used. I like the features, they have a score cards for candidates that you could easily customize. I found this to be their most unique feature. Most other tracking systems have a generic star rating.

Cons

They are a fairly new company, and that scared me away at first. But seems like they have come a long way.

We have been with Breezy since December in 2016 and I gotta say that I don't have any Cons. If you don't have a function this team works hard to make it happen. We needed additional reporting and they created the function for it. We needed an effective way to launch a Referral program with reporting and they did it. Overall, super happy with the software, service and price.

Pros

This ATS does a lot of things well. Easy to track candidates, custom emails, email and calendar integration, Chrome integration, a pretty serviceable iOS app. And a user interface that doesn't like it was designed in the aughts. Equally nice is the regular pace of updates that occur. Best of all is the incredible response that I get when I have a question (either good or stupid - my questions) or just feedback. I'm pretty psyched about the customer rep and how quickly he gets back to me.

I also like that I can easily manage more than one company on the same platform.

Cons

Small silly things. I fill out my scorecard as I'm interviewing a candidate. If I want to take a quick peek at their resume, the scorecard closes, loosing all my notes. Resumes are hard to read (small type).

Breezy HR ATS - When Not Bad is Pretty Good

After 5 years of using a competitors ATS, I had a chance to survey the market and pick a system that truly suited my needs. While I didn't fine the perfect solutions, I did find a product that had 1)mail and calendar integration 2) an user interface that wasn't designed by some engineer that never actually tried to use their own product 3) and a reasonable price. Top it off with some really top notch customer support and I'm pretty happy. One bonus - if you recruit for more than one company, you can easily maintain a couple of companies on the system and easily switch between the two.

Pros

Nice user interface, great price, great customer support.

Cons

Needs a quick view that shows candidates linkedin profile, personal websites and easy action from this view.

So simple & intuitive to use and really a joy for everyone on the team to use. It's really the first tool we've been able to get everyone using.
I'd also like to call attention to the amazing support team they have in place. They're highly knowledgable and very responsive.

Cons

While they have an iPhone app, I prefer to use the mobile web version. It's good but not nearly as good as the iPhone app right now. Would like to see more work on the mobile web.

I like everything about this software. It has helped me systematize and automate hiring for our small medical practice. We used to waste time searching through resumes and applications, sorting, reviewing, passing back and forth files only to forget what we thought of a candidate. We now can use our time efficiently and for recruiting instead of administrative stuff. Hiring takes away from our production.
The Breezy HR team is super responsive and helpful for support and feature requests. I found this software by chance on Twitter and it has changed our whole process for the better.

Obviously any small business is worried about cost. I think the software is worth the money and is also very flexible. Pay for what you need, no long term commitments.

The best thing about Breezy is its smooth UI / UX. We use Trello religiously so Breezy literally was a breeze to get started and understand how it works.

Within 10 minutes of posting our jobs, we received quality applications.

I *really* enjoyed using breezy to manage our hiring process. It would not be an exaggeration to say that without breezy this would have been absolutely impossible. The workflow tools, calendaring, video meetings, and other candidate interaction tools all reduced my workload, and allowed me to keep the candidates organized and coordinated with a minimum of fuss.

When we started using this software it was in a fairly late beta state, and in the beginning some things were a bit rough. However, the developer is extremely responsive, and addressed all of our concerns during our usage. Over the months of our usage, things have become more and more polished, and are now definitely "corporate" ready.

Recommendations

An HR tool needs to reduce your workload. I find that the best way to do that is to integrate all the features that I need into a single place. Breezy does that admirably. In addition, the interface is so easy to use that it takes all of the clumsiness out, and that really saves time!

Having a way to manage applicants without paper!!!! Also, with the large geographic area we work with it is good for managers to see postings from near by counties.

Pros

We serve 26 counties in NC - it is nice to be able to post positions specific to an area and manage the applicants in one place. It is also nice we can design our questions specific to our industry.

Cons

We have only been using it a few weeks so the software is still new to us but thus far we like it. Customer service might be a place to improve. I asked for assistance through chat once and she sent me a link to a video, however the video was very fast and I could not figure out how to slow it down.

Breezy is intuitive, easy to use, and has many features that anticipate our needs. It delivers just the right mix of features, configurability, and complexity while not being so rich and complex that it bogs our organization down in the software rather than in attracting and retaining the best talent.

Cons

The one short coming that we have encountered is that there doesn't seem to be a way to segment and store private information about a candidate such as desired salary. It also doesn't allow us to configure it so that our data entry folks can enter details about the candidate without seeing the discussion and score card.

The ability to customize the hiring pipeline with all kinds of automated featured was really useful. For example, after reviewing a resume and cover letter, simply moving the candidate to a different step in the pipeline would either send a polite decline email or send out a survey I designed as the next step. This saved so much time and brainpower for focusing on candidates!

Also, the 1-candidate free setup was great for me as a (very) small business owner :)

Cons

This is just a small thing, but moving to the next candidate within a specific pipeline phase could have been a bit easier - a declined candidate would stay in the quick-navigation list until the candidate view is closed and reopened, which could be confusing.

I was dreading posting a job opening as it has been a nightmare to manage candidates in our previous process. Breezy HR has been amazing to use and easy to setup. With their visual pipeline stages, applications will not be lost in the shuffle.

Pros

Great visualization of the flow of candidates through the hiring process. It was quick and easy to set up and start a position. Adding a questionnaire to the application process is included and works great.

Cons

You cannot add stages and there is not a easy to find definition of what the Feedback stage means.
You can view a candidate's resume if you use the link to the candidate from the notification email, but if you go to the Candidates page, you have to download the resume to see it.

The ability to not only have email templates but to automate the sending of them with placeholders for the position and candidate name is a great feature. The visual pipeline is great, and being able to change a candidate's status from multiple access points makes it really easy to move candidates through the pipeline without actually having to go back to that view every time. The layout is simple, but the customization is powerful, so we were really able to customize the process so we are doing the same things we used to do through email, just much faster.

Cons

The meeting scheduling didn't work for us, and we ended up using a service called Calendly for setting up interviews since they allow us to provide one link and let the interviewee choose any available date, versus us having to offer specific dates, which takes up more time and makes the scheduling management more complicated. But since that process is outside of breezy, there is the extra step of then moving them through the pipeline. It would be nice if Breezy could have the option of letting the candidate choose from any available time, so we don't have to manually choose a time, then they could be automatically moved through the pipeline when they schedule.

The handling of repeat applicants is also not as intuitive as we'd like. Even when an applicant applies with the same email address, they show up as a separate profile. We've had the problem where if someone applies through indeed and we move them into breezy, the email is different so there's no way to know right away if they are a repeat. Also, we hire a seasonal team every year, so we'd love a way to flag people who come back, especially if we didn't hire them in the past. We tend to not hire people we've rejected, so we want to make sure we don't bring them in for an interview

Automates most of what we were already doing. Fairly easy to operate UI. Easy to navigate and show others.

Cons

Video software was extra :( which I didn't realize from the trial and so trained the team and we can't justify the higher cost at this time. Sometimes I want to personalize an email but I would like to use the fundamentals of the set email responses. It can be annoying to cancel the auto email and then copy paste a new one etc. Maybe I missed this feature, but full Google Calendar integration would be nice (with the ability to schedule back-to-back interviews)

One stop shop for HR recruitment. I can publish through Breezy and it syndicates to the top job boards. Consolidation of replies is useful.

Cons

Not ideal for more senior positions - some of the roles are that easy to define. No way to pre-screen based on parameters.

The team at Breezy is always on the scout to implement new great features. Customisation's and integrations have never been easy.

Cons

When uploading a candidates resume, at times there is a big lag. it shows that the resume upload is on 100% done however it actually isn't. You can't help but repeat the process till the upload is finally done.
