The payroll support, HR advice, health and safety guidance, employee handbook, and other documentation tools are extremely useful and help us stay compliant. The team is always quick to respond, professional, and friendly. I also really appreciate the training videos and tutorials available, which make it easy to learn how to use the platform and get the most out of all its features. #### Cons I have not experienced any significant issues with BrightHR so far. Overall, the service has been reliable and has met our needs very well. #### Reasons for choosing BrightHR Pricing, functionalities and support. No incentive was offered #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 1/5 - Value for money: 1/5 - Customer support: 1/5 - Functionality: 1/5 #### Pros nothing. #### Cons I signed up for BrightHR and approximately two hours later realized that my existing bookkeeping software already included the functionality I needed. I contacted BrightHR immediately, explained the situation, and made it clear there was no realistic possibility I would ever use their service. Despite contacting them within about two hours of signing up, they refused to cancel the agreement and expected me to remain committed to a 60-month contract. What frustrated me most was the complete lack of flexibility or reasonable customer service. I wasn't trying to cancel months later after using the service. I contacted them within hours, before making any meaningful use of the product. I attempted to escalate the issue and asked to speak with someone higher up who could review the situation. They refused to provide the name or contact information of anyone above them. I understand businesses have contracts, but there is also such a thing as reasonable customer service. Expecting someone to pay for years for a service they notified you within hours they would never use is, in my opinion, extremely unreasonable. UPDATE: After posting this review, BrightHR’s Head of Service contacted me with what they called a “mutually beneficial solution.” They offered to reduce my five-year contract to two years and provide a larger discount — on the condition that I remove this review. Think about that. Rather than allowing a customer who tried to cancel almost immediately to walk away, their solution was still two years of payments, tied to removing my negative review. I find that astonishing.
