ClockShark is a cloud-based time tracking system that helps businesses in the construction and field service industries to manage their mobile workforces. Features include time and attendance tracking, employee scheduling, emailed alerts, kiosk time clock and more.

ClockShark offers mobile applications for iOS and Android devices that allow field workers to keep track of their schedules, clock in and out and attach photos and files for specific jobs directly to timesheets.  Managers can also monitor their employees' locations and get real-time status updates of a particular job.

Additionally, ClockShark features job costing functionalities and also helps users to maintain and manage audit logs and timesheet edits. It supports integration with various payroll and accounting systems such as Sage, ADP, Xero and QuickBooks.

Services offered on a monthly subscription basis. Support is available via phone and online FAQs.

So Far So Good - Easy to Use -

We have material costs but haven't got labour costs and we need to know if the price is quoted correctly.

Pros

Easy to use at present - we have just commenced using the software
Assistance is very quick - which is fantastic

Cons

Price was a question, as a few apps in Australia do not charge you a monthly fee and then an employee fee but at the moment we are giving it a go.

Secure payments with work times without paperwork.

Clockshark has given us great advantages in which we have no problems when paying payroll employees, even if some work extra hours in the calendar will be reflected.

Pros

There are many things that I admire about this great software, with innovative tools our company is now closer to each employee, we can ensure the activities performed by placing them using a GPS, they can sign the time of entry and exit of their day.

Cons

I would like them to improve the interface more often, visual quality can be very attractive.

Accountability, no problem.

Clock shark is amazing, it literally takes 30% of the time it use to take me to run payroll now. Knowing exactly where your people are during their shift is very important in the construction field. Being able to upload crew sheets and photo's is huge bonus. The ability to share the scope of work with only the employees that its relevant for is a time saver. Customer service can not be beat, team is very diligent in getting the information you requested without needing to explain much of the problem. SIMPLY PUT THEY KNOW THEIR PRODUCT!!!!!!!

Pros

Ease of use, GPS track, Geofence borders for job sites, ability to add the jobs is simple, add employees is simple, real time alerts, all around the best bang for your money hands down, customer service is 10 stars.

Cons

Would prefer google maps over mapbox, mapbox streetview is subpar at best.

ClockShark and Customer Service

My overall experience has been great!

Pros

The ClockShark software is user friendly. Very easy to use. It is easy to track employee times and edit on the administrative end. I also love the GPS tracking feature that allows you to see where your employees are travelling while they are clocked in. It prompts you if you are doing anything that could have an effect that is not reversable, like exporting time to QuickBooks. The few times I have used the chat service to ask a question the help center fixed my problem, answered my question, and went above and beyond. Both times I had a question, it was actually a problem with my QuickBooks and not with ClockShark. Today rep was especially helpful as she went through my QuickBooks with me and helped me solve my problem. She was courteous and friendly! I would absolutely recommend ClockShark!

Cons

I have no complaints about the software.

ClockShark is a platform with an interesting idea and structure.

We think that this application has some potential and a good idea, the structure of the idea does not seem quite well executed, but it has good things to offer, and it does a good job in the market.

Pros

It has a lot of pros, one of them is that it has a very interactive and interesting interface, as well as being aesthetic, striking and intrepid, another thing is the technical service it has, it is very reliable and warm.

Cons

However, it has a series of points against, how the amount of Mega bytes that the application spends, also the amount of memory spent by the platform and the low performance it has.

Pros

The customer service is amazing, the alerts when people clock in is great. I really like the different reports and time settings to match the way we do things. The timesheets are easy to read and clean. The scheduling feature is neat, I like that you can easily create and delete schedules, as we as alert people at once.

Cons

There is no setting to track vacation or sick days, when I import time to payroll it imports as regular hours. It would be nice if they were broken down already.

Customer service is the reason for my review. I’m using the software for work and was locked from my account. csr made the process of unlocking my account SECONDS later nstead of minutes. To compare, 45 seconds of customer service online vs. 45 minutes of support with Apple on the phone. Both EASY solutions. Highly recommend!

Pros

Customer service is exceptional. CSR went above and beyond.

I’m using it for work, so it does the job.

Dee was excellent

love it, feel loved. Dee was just 1 of many awesome pros!

Pros

I love their customer service. Honestly, they respond even when the answer's in their FAQ... they ALSO have automated answers that do well.

I also love the seemless itegration

Cons

I can't add rates, so that's a pain to turn that back in my qbo.

I also would love to be able to make invoices straight from their software

Love ClockShark!

ClockShark has helped me keep track of all my employee's hours. I am able to access their timecard from home, from my restaurant, or anywhere else I need to.

Pros

We really like using clockshark! We went from old fashioned timecards to ClockShark and it was quite an upgrade. Since it's web based I was worried about my employees clocking in from other places, but clockshark has an IP feature which let's me see if they are or not. It is always reliable and it's offered at a very reasonable price

Cons

I don't have anything I dislike about clock shark

Pros

Very simple software to use for employees. The GPS function allows us to keep track of when employees clock in and out and whether or not they are being productive the entire day. I particularly like how certain jobs can be designated to certain employees. Overall, this software simplifies and consolidates the time and payroll process, which can often become very intense and overwhelming.

Cons

Have not really found any major cons to this software. I would like to see the app get updated and be more consistent across all phones, especially older ones. There is also an issue when the phones lack cell service.

Saving money with Clockshark

Billing, Customer requests for hourly breakdown, All of this is right there with no problem

Pros

I find it easy to do invoicing as hours are right at my fingertips. As we have seasonal employees I thought I would have to delete them as a cost saving method but when I asked all I had to do was inactivate them. Time saving and cost saving!

Cons

So far we have no cons to report after almost a year! WOW

Great product, great service!

More accurate time tracking may have saved us money, but the main benefit stems from employees getting sloppier on keeping a hand-written time card. Now I don't have to keep my own record, re-create times, check their math, question their times, or manually input time into Quickbooks.

Pros

Where do I start? It allows us to track our employees' time to the minute, GPS tracking to verify employee times is great, the app is easy for them to use, it integrates with Quickbooks, and the service is above par. I can shoot any question over to them via chat, and they are always prompt, friendly, and helpful in guiding me to a fix. We've used other clock-in systems in the past, but this one is the best we've used.

Cons

Two or three times over the year we've been using the software, the crew has had an app glitch where they haven't been able to clock out or clock back in, but that's only 3 instances out of at least 600 clock-ins. It may have been due to reception/data issues, and they could still put in 'notes' stating when they took lunch or clocked in or out.

It is a great platform when thought about moving towards the smarter world. Also, it doesn't let the workers fool the employer. But you need to make sure that the employees are familiar with smartphones.

Pros

Started as a test platform for a short span of time but it proved to be very useful as I could assign the work without me having to be present at the site. Also, the GPS allowed me to keep track of the workers so that they don't fool me.

Cons

Being a digital platform it required everyone to have a smartphone also, it was difficult for me to get everyone onboard.

Excellent Software

Although the GPS innovation was what first caught our attention, sometimes this fails, so it is not entirely effective in some situations.

Pros

Clockshark has an option that has been quite innovative and is that any worker can be located through GPS, which keeps us well informed about what our workers do.

Cons

It is a bit annoying that you send passwords automatically and that the space for writing notes is not long enough, since sometimes the information is not very detailed.

Excellent experience! Customer service is always fantastic!

Pros

This product allows our company to track time efficiently and correctly in order to determine how much labor cost we incur with each project. Edits to time are super simple! Customer service is top notch. Value is good.

Cons

I would like to see an option to enter Paid Time Off, or Sick day so we can track this as well. I would also like to integrate with SurePayroll.

Not even past stage 1

I was unable to use this app

Unfortunately i have no pros on this, as i didnt even get past the first stage.

Cons

Unfortunately this app was just not allowing me to get past the log in stage! I have read reviews of what people had to say and was really hoping to use the app but i couldnt even log in, for some reason it didnt even give me the choice of regestering?
