It's great for managing my team's schedule and keeping everyone connected and on the same page from their phone.

Cons:

It feels like with every update the app gets clunkier and slows down. The timeclock feature hasn't been functioning properly for the last month or so.

The migration to Connecteam has been nothing but positive. As an overall team management tool it exceeds all expectations. Be it time tracking, resource allocation or just communicating with your team, the system has it all. You can upskill and update your entire team effortlessly and monitor how they are progressing without having to constantly apply time to the task. The functionality of tracking your expense versus resources applied is ideal for looking at the bottom line. All in all the value of the system exceeds the monetary investment. It is small cost to pay for the benefits Connecteam provides.

Pros:

The Communication efficiency, forms and updates are exceptional. Allocating tasks ahead of time means you can constantly be ahead of the demand and stay on top of workflows. The system itself is sound so I have not experienced any bugs or issues since inception of our rollout. Even so the Connecteam support is always ready to help even with the smallest of questions if the need arises. The staff are able to access the system seamlessly and have reported, happily so, that the ease of acccessing SOPS and information from the knowledge base has given them a valuable tool.

Cons:

I have not had any negatives in using the system. The design of the system is focussed to be a beneficial toll in all aspects. It definatley delivers on its promises and has helped our team become more efficient and streamlined.

Reasons for switching to Connecteam

We needed a full management system includive of the HR functionality. The additional communication and operations has been of great value.

Poor Support & Advertising Integrations That Don't Work

I think the system has a lot of cool features; however, if you cannot make them work properly dont advertise them and dont make your customers do the work to fix issues you are ignoring.

The system is easy to learn for scheduling. Staff seem to like the system and understand it easily. The issues outweigh the positives.

Cons:

Customer service has been extremely disappointing. Connecteam advertises an integration with Gusto, which is a key feature we rely on for payroll. Unfortunately, this integration has never worked for us despite following all setup instructions correctly. We opened a support ticket on March 25, 2026, and nearly a month later, the issue remains unresolved. During that time, we have processed three payroll cycles without the integration functioning. As a result, our team has had to manually enter PTO for 61 employees—creating significant, unnecessary administrative work. What’s most frustrating is the lack of meaningful support or communication. We have: Provided detailed explanations, screenshots, and even screen recordings Answered repeated troubleshooting questions Complied with every request from support Yet, we have never received a clear update on what has actually been done to resolve the issue. Instead, each time we ask for a status update, we are asked to complete additional tasks—many of which are repetitive or irrelevant at this stage. It has become evident that little to no real progress is being made on this ticket. The burden of troubleshooting has been placed almost entirely on us as the customer, despite paying for a service that includes this integration. At this point, the lack of resolution and transparency is unacceptable. If a feature is advertised and included in a paid product, it should work—or there should be timely, accountable support to fix it. Due to this experience, we are actively considering moving to another platform.

Great & User-Friendly Product, but You May Have to Pay Extra for Live Training and Assistance

I will probably eventually try to schedule time with a specialist to help me with more of the additional features because, again, there are many many custom features and tools that I have yet to setup or take advantage of. But since I know it will come with a cost, I will try to wait a bit longer and have a very specific list of the features or tools that I want to know more about.

Pros:

I like the product overall. It has many options to customize the way you keep track of time, tasks, and helps with having internal communication within the platform's chat feature. Keeping time is simpler, doing payroll is less tedious, and our organization hasn't even scratched the surface of using ConnectTeam's HR features. I like how easy it is for user's to suggest their own edits when they've made a mistake clocking in or out, and the admin can easily approve or deny. The Ai help feature does a pretty good job pulling up articles to "how to's" when I need them, and it is faster than waiting on a call for a live agent to respond.

Cons:

My only issue, is that it is a deep program with many capabilities, and although it is very user friendly, they do not provide much guidance or live assistance when you purchase this product. You'll have one initial free meeting and then if you want help from a live ConnectTeam specialist, you have to pay for more sessions. My second least favorite thing is the 'schedule feature'. If you're in an organization like restaurant or retail, with many team members having changing schedules, shifts, and needing to trade shifts or get them covered, then this feature would be ideal for you. For a remote team of workers on a more typical 9-5 schedule, it is actually difficult to set up those repetitive regular shifts for all of your team members.

Communication HUB for the WIN!

Overall, our experience with Connecteam has been extremely positive. We initially adopted it as a communication tool, but it has evolved into a central operating platform for our team. The combination of messaging, channels, file sharing, announcements, and scheduling has helped keep everyone aligned and accountable. One of the features we use most frequently is photo sharing, which allows team members to document installations, production progress, and completed projects in real time. Customer support has been responsive whenever we have needed assistance, and the system has been reliable with very few bugs or technical issues. The platform is easy for employees to learn, and user access permissions help ensure people see only the information relevant to their role. Connecteam offers a tremendous number of features for the price, and the free plan for smaller teams makes it easy to get started. It has become an important part of our daily operations and continues to provide value as our company grows.

Pros:

Connecteam has become the communication hub for our business. What I appreciate most is how accessible it is across devices. I can leave it open on both my phone and computer throughout the day, which allows me to stay connected whether I am in the office, on a job site, or traveling between client meetings. The channel structure is one of its strongest features. We have private one-on-one conversations with employees when needed, but we also maintain operational channels for sales, leads, estimate review, design, production, installation, and general company communication. This keeps information organized and easy to find. The ability to share photos and files directly within conversations is extremely valuable in our industry, where visual communication is often necessary. For a growing business, the free plan for up to 10 users provided tremendous value and allowed us to implement the platform without a large upfront investment.

Cons:

While Connecteam does many things exceptionally well, the calendar and scheduling functionality could be improved. The event calendar feels a little clunky compared to the rest of the platform. Making edits often requires several clicks, which can become frustrating when managing multiple jobs or appointments throughout the day. I would also prefer a more traditional monthly calendar view as the default option. The current layout tends to focus on upcoming items, making it less intuitive when trying to review past events or quickly view an entire month's schedule at a glance. Archived jobs and completed events are available, but accessing them takes additional navigation. None of these issues are deal breakers, but they do create extra steps in what is otherwise a very streamlined user experience.

Reasons for choosing Connecteam

We considered Zoom Workplace because we were already familiar with the platform and used Zoom for meetings. However, Connecteam offered a more complete solution for day-to-day business operations. Beyond messaging, it provides dedicated channels for different departments, employee communication tools, scheduling, announcements, file and photo sharing, and operational coordination in one centralized platform. The mobile experience is also excellent, allowing our team to stay connected whether they are in the office, in production, or on a job site. Ultimately, Connecteam provided more functionality, better organization, and greater overall value for the price than the alternatives we evaluated.

Reasons for switching to Connecteam

We switched from Slack primarily because of price and functionality. As a small business, we wanted a platform that combined team communication, scheduling, announcements, file sharing, and operational coordination in a single system without requiring multiple subscriptions. Connecteam provided significantly more value for the cost, especially with its free plan for smaller teams. It allowed us to centralize communication across departments while keeping information organized and accessible from both desktop and mobile devices. The combination of affordability and operational features made Connecteam a better fit for our growing business.

It solves a problem that no other app has been able to solve for me. Working remotely makes it hard to keep track of people. The real time notifications have been fantastic at alerting managers when a team member is late. Staff scheduling is so much easier than the other apps I have used and the time I have to spend maintaining the schedule is greatly reduced. The app is simple to use and customer support has been prompt and has solved any bugs and issues we may have had. I like that you can request new functions and vote on ones suggested by others. It's good value for money and I like how you pay a smaller charge for additional users rather than having to subscribe to the next subscription tier like other platforms.

Cons:

Sometimes the AI agent can struggle to understand my questions and will send me round in circles however I can request to speak to a human agent if necessary. I do get irritated when I am asked to rate each and every interaction I have with the AI agent also.

The notifications were far superior the pricing worked better for us, we don't need all the functions so didn't want to have to pay for things we don't need.

My overall experience with Connecteam has been very positive. The platform made it much easier to manage scheduling, track employee hours, and communicate with team members in one centralized place. I found the interface clean and relatively easy to navigate, which helped reduce the learning curve for staff members. The mobile app was especially useful for employees working remotely or in the field, allowing them to stay updated and connected at all times. It's not the worst system I've used.

It's been ok. There have been some issues that I have asked to be resolved that have, but every time we ask for something it's always a zoom call. I just want my issue addressed. I don't have time to go through zoom for a five minute conversation.

Pros:

It provides a lot of options and a lot of functionality. Generally, I can find and accomplish what I need to, but I often find myself having to go to the desktop version instead.

Cons:

The UI is not user friendly at all, especially once you are granted some admin rights. Trying to find the specific function you need is often a series of five or six steps. Once you find it there are limited display options and every aspect of the dashboard feels cluttered. I often have issues when I try to navigate to a specific area of the app and it freezes, so I have to close it and then reopen it in order to navigate back.
