What I like most about this product is the ability to customize it to our needs. Almost anything can be created and sent out as a task for new hires which is nice. There are also tons of reports that I can customize to get numbers on a variety of things.

Cons

What I like least about ICIMS is the fact that they do not accomodate to re-hires for seasonal employment. It is a user friendly site unless you're dealing with re-hires. Sending out hiring packets from year to year just adds tons of clutter for both admins and the users.

Very Robust Applicant Tracking System

This is an extremely robust applicant tracking system that is allowing us to automate many of our processes, saving time and money. It would probably meet the needs of any company's applicant tracking needs. iCIMS also integrates with several other software platforms that we use. There is quite a bit of training available as well.

Pros

What we like best about the iCIMS Applicant Tracking system is that it's very configurable and can be customized to match our needs. Additionally, the integration is extremely thorough and the integration team is top notch and very responsive.

Cons

The integration and setting up to use the platform is extremely complicated. Although an integration manager walks your integration team through it step by step, it takes quite a bit of time and effort on the user's part. We also don't like that we can only have three attachments (of files) for each job. For instance, if we had a project timeline, a work scope, that would be two of only three possible attachments.

All but 1 of the employees that I came in to contact with were amazing. Great customer service, and Colin went the extra mile for us.

Pros

Sales team was realistic in what iCIMS can do and was very open about what it couldn't or what was on the roadmap. Implementation team was easy to work with and flexible. Response time from everyone at the company was faster than expected from Legal to Customer Support. Implementation of 2 large companies happened in 6 months vs. a year.

Cons

Once we moved from our original ATS to iCIMS the Talent Acquisition team wanted even more functionality than what we started with. iCIMS showed us what was possible.

As someone who was not "in-tune" with recruitment I found that diving in to cover the recruiter was somewhat difficult. However, the system platform we used with icims was easy to use and was self explanatory for someone like me!

By far the best ATS and HRIS system I have ever used.

Pros

Very user friendly. . .you won't need to invest hours and hours into training. Automates a majority of the time consuming administrative functions of Recruiting and HR. Customer service is responsive.

Cons

Custom reports can be a bit tricky to master. Would be good if user had more ability to customize offer letter templates without going through their help desk.

I currently have 35 hiring managers who use ICIMS to hire 1600 seasonal employees. It is by far a tool we could not function without. If you are on the fence about online applications - make the jump!

Cons

They could use a little better direction in the seasonal - returning employee process. We have had to adapt the system to suit our needs.

Pros

This product is reasonably priced and is well worth it. The program is highly customizable and the reporting and auto reminder features are great. Being able to set up position approvals and auto reports to be emailed out are a bonus!

Cons

While most things can be customized, some features cannot be customized. Every now and then, the help desk is not familiar with how to set up the program to meet all of our needs.

I find it is very easy to disposition candidates, create positions and manage the recruiting cycle.

Cons

It is not that user friendly and a lot of the way it is configured does not make logical sense. We have over 30,000 resumes in the database and it is the last place we go to search for candidates because the searching capabilities are useless and it is very, very time consuming. There are so many features that we do not use because every single one will cost more money each month and it does not seem worth it.

This software program has allowed us to go from a 95% paper onbarding process to a 95% paperless onbarding process. We have locations all across the US so this product has been great for us to use to onbard all of our employees virtually.

Cons

We had some difficulties connecting the program with our current HRIS which caused some problems, but ICIMS helped to fix the issues quickly.

I like the flow of the software, its pretty self explanatory even though I went through a week of training it was pretty intuitive once I got on it

Cons

customization is required, the background screening module asks for input regardless if your firm does it or not. Since in my old company we did not really call old employers we just filled in nonsense and it was a but tiresome.

Well, as a recruiting and applicant tracking tool, the benefits we receive are in these areas. One area where all electronic applicant/candidate files are kept and documented as they go through the process. The reporting from this is also quite helpful.

Pros

What I like most is the ease in creating and posting open jobs and recruiting for candidates through this platform. I also like the reporting features.

Cons

While it is robust in features, many of the uses and applications for our particular use are up to US to read about and try to implement. The Help Desk is there to assist but iCIMS really relies on the customer to be VERY active and knowledgeable, tech-savvy and solely focused on working in this system alone. My role is varied so it is difficult to keep up in this system with updates and new technology/features that are offered. As a result, we are not always 'up to the minute' with using the newest and greatest features.

Pros

The system has a ton of functionality. Deep data, deep reporting. I really like the dashboard and how I was able to change it around based on my needs at that time.

Cons

It's not as intuitive as other tools I have used. There are several ways to go into workflows and they don't all lead to each other necessarily. The reporting is deep - but it's not easy to create reports. Once you have things established, it's solid - but getting there is a task. You'd need a full iCIMS administrator to really use the greatness this tool provides.
It's more expensive than other tools on the market.

It allows the application process to have more clarity on both sides of the interviewing table.

Pros

My favorite aspect of icims recruit is the ability to see what stage your job application is in. It gives clarity to the dreaded black hole that an application process is typically like, you know where you stand.

Cons

The user interface is very minimal, while pleasing to the eye, it can be a little confusing knowing how to navigate your account to review application status or make updates.
