As someone who was not "in-tune" with recruitment I found that diving in to cover the recruiter was somewhat difficult. However, the system platform we used with icims was easy to use and was self explanatory for someone like me!

Cons

I do not have any negative feedback on this product as I was not the main user. I merely filled in when necessary.

By far the best ATS and HRIS system I have ever used.

Pros

Very user friendly. . .you won't need to invest hours and hours into training. Automates a majority of the time consuming administrative functions of Recruiting and HR. Customer service is responsive.

Cons

Custom reports can be a bit tricky to master. Would be good if user had more ability to customize offer letter templates without going through their help desk.

I currently have 35 hiring managers who use ICIMS to hire 1600 seasonal employees. It is by far a tool we could not function without. If you are on the fence about online applications - make the jump!

Cons

They could use a little better direction in the seasonal - returning employee process. We have had to adapt the system to suit our needs.

I have been recruiting for over 20 years and have been using Applicant Tracking Systems for approximately 15 years exclusively on the corporate side with some of the largest tech firms in the world.

Pros

I don't really like much about this product. The candidate production is on par with other systems. It is quicker than other systems I have used....and that's about it.

Cons

It is not a user friendly product and I wonder how much they involved highly experienced. corporate recruiters in the functional design of the platform. There is a lot of wasted space and extra clicking that needs to be done. The system is not intuitive at all for a user. I have used Taleo quite a bit and found it to be much more compact in viewing candidates and their status. The search capabilities with ICMS are very hard to understand with their forms, filters, output templates, etc. I have to constantly go back to the instructions to figure out how to find jobs, particular hiring managers, etc. In addition I have had candidates on several occasions call me since they were having trouble uploading documents into the system. There are better systems or comparable systems available for less money. Each recruiter should't have to become a "super-user" in order to work in an ATS but that seems to be the case for ICMS.

What I like most about iCIMS is that their client service is by far some of the best I have ever encountered with a vendor. Anytime you need help their client support line is always available to help out and I have not had to wait longer than 5 minutes or so for an answer over the phone. Additionally, when you open a ticket with them on an issue you are having, they send you email correspondences for every update they have to share, which I appreciate because you are always in the know on how to move forward with issues you are having.

Cons

What I like least about iCIMS is that their focus is mainly as an applicant tracking system and not a full-service system that includes features like payroll, performance management, succession planning, etc. iCIMS has really mastered being a very reliable applicant tracking system, but they have room to improve moving forward as a full-service provider for companies.

Pros

Being able to review info quickly & easily while keeping them specific to certain jobs & all jobs. We can tag one person in multiple areas and have their info be sent to the hiring managers easily.

Cons

Sometimes it is hard to find a particular person when you have multiple with the same name, but it does have features that allow for a more specific search.

This is a great product. As someone who has experience with several large ATS platforms, there doesn't seem to be a single product that does everything, but this one seems to come the closest by far.

Pros

I really like that it can be easily customized to suit our needs, and can manage the recruitment pipeline for a wide variety of candidate types and requisitions. It also provides many data points and intuitive reporting capabilities. It has a nice, clean look and feel to the UI. They provide strong customer support whenever there are questions or issues. It integrates seamlessly with many other vendors and HR products.

Cons

They could make a few improvements. It feels like sometimes there are a few too many "clicks" required to drill down to the info needed. Also, it would be great if they could include a feature to view the "last viewed candidates," or "last viewed requisitions." It would help speed things up when trying to move quickly between multiple candidates and requisitions.

Cons

The only con I have is that you aren't able to create email groups to make it easy to send an email to your team without adding each in as a recipient. The reporting was also difficult at first, but after I went to their training- much easier!

I find it is very easy to disposition candidates, create positions and manage the recruiting cycle.

Cons

It is not that user friendly and a lot of the way it is configured does not make logical sense. We have over 30,000 resumes in the database and it is the last place we go to search for candidates because the searching capabilities are useless and it is very, very time consuming. There are so many features that we do not use because every single one will cost more money each month and it does not seem worth it.

This software program has allowed us to go from a 95% paper onbarding process to a 95% paperless onbarding process. We have locations all across the US so this product has been great for us to use to onbard all of our employees virtually.

Well, as a recruiting and applicant tracking tool, the benefits we receive are in these areas. One area where all electronic applicant/candidate files are kept and documented as they go through the process. The reporting from this is also quite helpful.

Pros

What I like most is the ease in creating and posting open jobs and recruiting for candidates through this platform. I also like the reporting features.

Cons

While it is robust in features, many of the uses and applications for our particular use are up to US to read about and try to implement. The Help Desk is there to assist but iCIMS really relies on the customer to be VERY active and knowledgeable, tech-savvy and solely focused on working in this system alone. My role is varied so it is difficult to keep up in this system with updates and new technology/features that are offered. As a result, we are not always 'up to the minute' with using the newest and greatest features.

Pros

The system has a ton of functionality. Deep data, deep reporting. I really like the dashboard and how I was able to change it around based on my needs at that time.

Cons

It's not as intuitive as other tools I have used. There are several ways to go into workflows and they don't all lead to each other necessarily. The reporting is deep - but it's not easy to create reports. Once you have things established, it's solid - but getting there is a task. You'd need a full iCIMS administrator to really use the greatness this tool provides.
It's more expensive than other tools on the market.

It allows the application process to have more clarity on both sides of the interviewing table.

Pros

My favorite aspect of icims recruit is the ability to see what stage your job application is in. It gives clarity to the dreaded black hole that an application process is typically like, you know where you stand.

Cons

The user interface is very minimal, while pleasing to the eye, it can be a little confusing knowing how to navigate your account to review application status or make updates.

Cons

What we like least about the Icims software is the set-up. There is a lot of manual labor involved in the initial set up process but once that was complete, we found Icims to be a pretty good tracking system to use.

This system helps house all our talent for the projects my company is working on. It's useful and easily accessed anywhere, which is very important as we have many remote employees on our team.

Pros

I enjoy the customer service help desk and how the representatives are very knowledgeable and patient. In addition, the layout of the iCIMS platform is very user-friendly. For instance, reports can be found in the "reporting center".

Cons

My company requires a lot of customization and iCIMS can't offer a lot of options. For instance, iForms have somewhat of a rigid format that make it a bit difficult to customize to better fit our company.

While many aspects can be customized, there are additional features that we wanted customized, however we were bot able to do so or the tech was not able to fix it.

Pros

Ease of use and having our complete recruiting database at our fingertips. iCIMS delivered on their promise of routine updates that seamlessly improve the user experience, whether you are an applicant, the Admin, or a hiring manager. And, their HelpDesk, especially at the beginning, was beyond compare. We knew them on a first-name basis and they could not have been better or more responsive.
