Jolt software


Jolt is a human resource (HR) platform provided by Intuiplan. The system is scalable and appropriate for businesses of varying sizes. Companies in the food and beverage industry, hospitality and travel, retail, and others can use and customize the program to meet their needs.

Core functions include personnel tracking, audit management, learning management, performance review, goal management, time and attendance and employee scheduling offered within an integrated suite. Employee scheduling and time and attendance can be purchased as stand-alone applications as well. Users also have access to a checklist of daily tasks to be completed by employees on shift. Inspection forms may be produced for management to review standards. Training information, employee announcements, and HR issues are also manageable through Jolt.

Jolt is both browser agnostic and downloadable onto private servers. The software can be accessed via mobile devices and desktop computers to manage single or multiple business locations.

    It is very flexible for employees to use. The customer support has worked well for the minor issue we had initially

    The only thing I found bad is the price. It could be structured to be lower for initial users with more pricing layers

    Quick login, neat site, great customer service that is always looking out for us. The program is simple enough to train other employees in just a few short minutes.

    Cons

    The back end of the site took a little while to learn. Settings and managing lists can be a bit confusing to find, but once you do, you don't forget it.

    It is very easy to switch shifts and request time off. You are also able to contact other coworkers through the software.

    There are really no cons to this product from an employee point of view. I have enjoyed how easy it is to use.

    Time saver, and the ability to look at data to address ongoing issues so we can address the route causes

    Pros

    Ease of Use - just grab the tablet and go!
    Notifications - The system allows you to set up notifications, so supervisors or managers know right away if there is a problem that needs to be dealt with
    Customer Service - Our business consultant is always available to help us trouble shoot or answer any questions we might have

    Cons

    New Technology - With this being new technology there can be hiccoughs, but we are almost always able to work through the issues with ease, especially with the help of the customer service team

    Using the JOLT checklist has tremendously increased accountability and organization on my team. .

    It would be great if the Messaging and LogBook feature could be accessed through a mobile version of the app.

    labels functionality is great.Also doing daily walk around and cleaning checklist.I also like the feature of scheduling and message blast.

    Cons

    Cost per month is really high.I have to pay custom duties here in Canada that adds up.This over fixed cost every month and we would like to keep minimum.

    Increasing productivity with my associates by giving them lists of tasks that need to be completed daily.

    Pros

    I love the functionality and features that this software brings to my business. It saves myself and my associates so much time everyday and we are able to be more productive because of the software. I love the digital temperature logs I am able to do through jolt.

    Cons

    I wish the jolt lite app allowed internal communications between all associates. This would allow my associates to trade shifts easier and communicate with one another from smart phones which are more common these days than laptops or tablets.

    Love that this can be an app where Employees can easily access their schedule, release, switch, and pick up shifts and even request time off and change their availability. It makes very important information so simple and easy to communicate. I just love this, we use it a lot for work.

    Cons

    I just wish the times are in 15 min increments instead of only hourly. Makes it easier to check how many people is scheduled per 15 minutes at a glance.

    Very user-friendly product and it is very convenient to use especially when creating forms. Anyone can do it because of it is not that complicated to use. Definitely recommended software!

    It is a bit expensive for a company like us that has just started. But definitely worth it through the business is running

    The scheduling feature is great. My favorite are the lists. It has made our employees better and more efficient at their jobs. They are more engaged as well when opening and closing.

    Cons

    Seems to glitch too much when working on the schedule. Fortunately once the schedule is published it's pretty flawless but while working on it can be slow, freeze or move shifts to wrong cells.

    Very detailed information to initial setup. Team was excellent with over the phone service. You cannot go wrong picking this product with step by step guidance and YouTube short videos

    I love that I am able to customize it for my restaurants needs. We have a lot of information and to be able to have one platform to trickle that information down is easy. From the lists, to labels and bulk imports, it is very easy to use. I also really love their customer service as they are always willing to answer any question I have, big or small and they really value feedback from "in the trenches" and strive to provide us the functionality we crave in this platform. I help establish this platform for several restaurants and file sharing and information is so easy in regards on how to build it, share it and import it.

    Cons

    Honestly, nothing. Every time it seems to get close to being "outdated" or not as easy to use, they ask for a call so they can help walk you through an update. They ask for feedback and listen so most of our needs are met and are done so in a timely manner. They make me feel like our restaurant is the only one they work with however I know they take feedback from many many restaurants and it helps to know everyone's concerns and voices are heard.

    That it can be configured to meet our specific needs is the best feature!
    I also love the fact that I can email my representative for anything and she always gets back to me in a timely fashion. I like the ease of use for the employees as well.

    It was a bit tricky to figure out how to upload a training video, but my representative was able to help me, and we successfully uploaded the video!

    The ability to be more transparent with our staff--they can see other shifts, take swapping shifts into their own hands, etc.

    There is quite a bit on content--it can feel overwhelming at times. I'm not sure if this can be done, but simplifying the processes so that it is a bit more user friendly would help a great deal.
