    Pros

Everything is all in one. (Payroll and benefits enrollment)

    Cons

It’s very new in my opinion and requesting time off UI/UX is kind of off. Often times it doesn’t actually send the request. So definitely some improvement for the UX is the website.

My overall experience with namely has been frustrating because a password reset. You follow all the directions to reset your password and it never worked. I spent hours and days trying to get into the software.

    Pros

Once I was able to login to my account the software provided all the information of my work history paycheck stubs everything. I was able to download my paycheck stubs and keep them.

    Cons

When I needed to reset my password to get into the program I had a terrible time finding my work information I can never get it to reset the password. I had to find a phone number actually talk to somebody with the company to help them walk me through resetting my password it was not easy to use.

Overall, very pleased with Namely's services and support.

    Pros

Our company has offices in Canada and the US, and we use Namely as our HR system: onboarding, performance reviews, time-off requests, employee data tracking, and payroll (for the US only). It is great to have a single system for all of these functions. I am most involved in the payroll side, and Namely makes the actual payroll processing easy. They have good reports, as well. Their customer support has been responsive to our needs over the years.

    Cons

The performance review data entry doesn't allow formatting (bold, bullets, etc.), and the output report has weird spacing that doesn't look good on paper and wastes paper.

The best parts about using Namely is their excellent support+success team and the constant growth that they are experiencing which results in frequent updates that make my job easier. Having a fully integrated solution has saved me an abundance of time. The ease of integration with the HRIS tool is great for scaling companies that use a variety of products to function but want one-source-of-truth. Reporting capabilities in both HRIS and Payroll are detailed and have gained the stamp of approval from Finance and HR.

    Pros

    -Excellent customer support.
-One stop solution for HRIS, Payroll, and Benefits.
-Very customizable for different use cases.
-Constant and reliable product updates and roadmap.

    Cons

    -Document storage is not robust
-While the tool is very customizable, it is a slight learning curve to master the smaller details.

To have a one-stop location for PTO, performance management, payroll, onboarding, birthdays and anniversaries, salaries, and reporting makes our lives much easier .

    Pros

There are so many HRIS and payroll products on the market, that it was great to find one that did both really well several years ago. And there have been numerous improvements since-an onboarding feature, updated performance management, the API is more user friendly, and there are API connections with several other softwares we use.

    Cons

There are some intuitive changes that are happening in the product, such as improving the the reporting functions, title changes, and salary increase sections.

HR Management in a complex organisation becomes simple

    Pros

Performance of Staff can be easily measured by how far they have gone in completing the set tasks. Staff profile and all can easily be synced with the cloud and the user interface is very easy to understand. It is like having a virtual tool that can handle the management of all the HR responsibilities.

    Cons

The price is pretty high but it is worth it when you consider the complexity of your organizations to the benefits of having the product.

    Value for Money
    Pros

I can't even articulate it because there isn't anything. We're stuck with it right now. Really and truly.

    Cons

Their team of 'dedicated reps' is a joke. You need to call them to get any real support. Emailing them never seems to produce a solution to your problem. The person they assign you to act as your advocate/customer success person has changed three times and this new one made all kinds of promises about how available he'd be. Literally every week he cancels our standing meeting. LITERALLY.

The software has zero automation and much of your calculations, changes, etc. are manual.

    Pros

I like that everything is housed together. I like the HR consultant that comes with the membership license. It's great that you can keep everything employee specific tied to their profile - signed documents, performance reviews etc.

    Cons

Our company roll out wasn't smooth - it seems like there was a lot of back and forth to make sure everything was set up correctly and/or fixed. Some of the set ups don't seem intuitive, but once you get used to it it's easier.

    Pros

I like that the interface is appealing to the eye. The color scheme and the logo are nice. Over all it is alright.

    Cons

The navigation is a bit difficult. Also it does not let you put in PTO requests if you don't have enough hours logged at the exact time. Which make no sense, because I will have enough PTO by the time my vacation arrives in a few months.

    Pros

Namely sports a clean, user-friendly interface that anyone at any level in the organization can use. Its links to our other programs (international payroll, expense reporting, travel, etc.) is seamless, and the implementation team has been outstanding thus far.

    Cons

The intranet capability of the program is a bit lacking, contrary to the representations of the sales team. It's not quite up to what we thought we were getting.

    Pros

I like that it pays me. Does a good track of keeping hours, shows exactly the information you need. Also is good for HR blasts, so the company can see new updates for policies, insurance, all that Jazz. Also it is extremely pretty, they did a good job making it look nice, which as a graphic designer I really appreciate.

    Cons

Sometimes I have trouble saving my hours. I go in and save and then it doesn't work. Also, the app is pretty finicky. you have to do a bunch of intense coding stuff to even get it to work in the first place, but once you do its pretty useful to just click clock in and click clock out.

    Pros

It gets the job done for some important HR information. I however believe that HR is seriously neglected int he work place as more and more people move away from caring about their employees.

    Cons

Its slow, and sometimes just spins. Puting lots of details in causes it to work less than ideally. Not really worth the cost.

Much more orginized information for our team. Freed up a bunch of time for our HR staff.

    Pros

We used a few other HR systems in the past (one we even built ourselves... that was a mistake). Namely is essentially our employee's central hub for all things related to HR. All organized, easy to navigate, and functional.

Switching to Namely has allowed our HR managers to switch to focusing more attention on new hires rather than spending all their time supporting the team.

I don't even think I have spoke to HR since we adopted Namely, it's great!

    Cons

Getting all your documentation set up in Namely can be very time consuming. I don't think it's more time consuming than alternatives, but expect that "setting up Namely" will be a full time job for a couple months.

But, such is the nature of working HR. :)

An extremely easy and intuitive software to use for all HR purposes. I like how you can also set goals in here and how everything is in one place.

Some of the things you can do here are limited by their functionalities, but I think this is also intentional to keep it simple

    Easy payroll management

    Pros

Ideal for payroll management. The user interface is easy to use this saving an SME lots of training fees. Uses cloud computing too!

    Cons

Poor support. Namely failed to meet the installation/implementation phases set by our company. Slow to a point of annoyance. Otherwise, the product is great!

Some platform bugs and I'd appreciate a more simplified UX but, overall, it's always been a positive experience for me using the platform.

A kick-ass HRIS system that increased employee engagement and is easy to use.

    Pros

It is amazing! It has increased employee engagement and is really easy to use. The feed on the dashboard is great for people to remember birthdays or work anniversaries and we use it to share pictures from events as well. Also, employees can change their own address and banking information without getting HR involved!

    Cons

I really can't think of anything, it is easy to use, the reporting is spot on and it is actually fun to see what people are talking about on the feed.
