QuickBooks Full Service Payroll Software

QuickBooks Full Service Payroll from Intuit is a web-based payroll system that integrates with the QuickBooks accounting platform. It is designed to help small businesses manage accounting and payroll all in one place.

Users can manage employee profiles to determine such things as pay rate, pay schedule and method of payment. Payroll can then be reviewed and submitted at any time, accompanied by detailed reports showing total payroll cost, pay compared between periods and cost breakdowns between wages and taxes, and between employer and employee. The option to print pay stubs is also available.

Behind the software is Intuit’s team of U.S.-based payroll experts, who can handle payroll setup, tax filing (federal, state and local) and tax payments. Accuracy is guaranteed, so if an issue arises, Intuit will act as representation to the IRS. All of this functionality carries over to the Online Payroll mobile app, which is available on iOS and Android devices.

Quickbooks Review

Pros

It was fairly straightforward to use for someone who does not have a great deal of accounting experience.

Cons

Some of the sections were a bit difficult to locate until I became more familiar with the program. The invoicing function lacks customization options which has prevented me from taking advantage of what should be a great addition to the program.

Pros

Some of our clients like to use this because it is OS agnostic - meaning that it works just as well on a mac as it does a PC with 100% feature parity.

When it works, which is most of the time - it seems to to a good job at its intended tasks. It is subject to downtime as it is an internet based resource - which could range from irritating to a critical service outage resulting in downtime

Cons

I have little gripes beyond the obvious headaches outages causes from time to time which seem quite rare.
