Cons

Thus far, a very good option, were not a major corporation but our staff have found it very effective.

Pros

Ease of use especially with submitting documents and posts. Streamline interface for our group and made career openings much easier to set and find applicants for.

Cons

Issues with customer care but software has been reliable. Only downside as i said is the times we had to contact customer support. Longer times and not always easily accessible, at least from our interactions.

Ziprecruiter is awesome in the fact that it brings applicants straight to you. I posted a job and within an hour I had a ton of qualified applicants. Customer service was great, even when I decided to no longer use the software.

Cons

My biggest concern is the cost of Ziprecruiter. It would be awesome for a more corporate office looking to fill multiple positions but I did find that for a small business looking for just a few new employees, the cost was just too high to keep for more than a month or so.

Customer rep was very pushy. They gave me a free trial for 7 days, it was not enough to determine if it is worth it. Little exposure, not as popular. Not very many candidates.

Again, for the right roles, pretty good product.

Pros

Depending upon what type of talent you're looking for can be an effective recruiting solution. For high volume staffing of roles, especially with a fairly "low bar" of minimal requirements, decent product. They do a lot of radio advertising which drives candidate pools.

Cons

It's a good competitor to other basic job board solutions like CareerBuilder/Monster, etc. but not really the best place to source highly compensated/complex roles.

Pros

The platform learns intelligently from the way that I rate resumes (3 choices: good, bad, indifferent) so that when I get notified that I have a "great match" - it really is a great match. I also really like the screening question option; it provides a way for me to figure out why people are applying for my job when their experience might suggest that it's not their field.

Cons

I wish there was a way for me to change the status of our search: for example, "Hiring Right Now," or "Interviewing for Future Needs"

It's quick and easy to post jobs. Good response for most positions; customer service is helpful, and if you need to add to your plan, it's super easy to do so.

Cons

It won't search for candidates outside a 50 mile radius, and you can't post outside your area. This is a problem when trying to find candidates that don't need to relocate, or can be based nationally. (ie. sales reps)

I liked how easy it was to use, it was easy to figure out how to post jobs, search resumes and sort candidates.

Cons

We received little to no candidates. The representative in charge of the account also failed to mention, we were on a month to month AUTO RENEWAL. So after our month was up, I stopped using it. Then we got another bill. I logged into the account to see what was the issue. Well when calling to cancel, they refused to give me the full refund, because I logged in. Not happy with their services at all.

As a recruiter for multiple businesses, this is a great product to be able to manage all of the different companies and locations under one simple "roof". Easy to sort through applicants quickly to determine if they are a good candidate and we've certainly seen an increase in the number of applicants and resumes we've received. The cost can be daunting at first, but the value in the end has been far better than CPC pricing we've seen with other programs we've use.

Cons

More customization would be nice. It would be useful to be able to change the types/names of statuses of candidates to better fit our needs. We've also had a couple of issues with being able to download resumes but those problems are usually fixed on ZipRecruiter's end fairly quickly.

Cons

Placing a listing is simple and easy and begin receiving significant response within a day. I tend to get more "hidden gem" candidates than through other job posting sites. I like the ability to categorize my level of interest in the candidate so I can go back and choose the ones that will make it through the screening process.

Cons

The resume notification isn't as user friendly as some other job posting sites. There is a function to click an icon if I want fewer "candidates like this one." I don't like using that because there could be 10 different reasons this applicant didn't process through to the next hiring stage, this icon doesn't allow for me to indicate if the person didn't meet location, education, job experience...

I was able to draw from resources via ZipRecruiter to hire assistants in cities where I knew no one, and the quality of hires has been excellent so far.

Pros

The ease of posting and ability to travel to a city where I know no one and yet able to send out a search for an assistant to help with a photo shoot is fantastic--like having excellent employees lined up waiting for me. Its been a huge help!

Cons

At first the cost was a little high, but after seeing the quality and types of potential employees I could get, it made the search easy and paid for itself, I feel.

Job Matching criteria is pretty refined in the system and that helps in you being matched with the right opportunities and explore relevant openings. The process to apply for the jobs is also pretty smooth and helps ensure that you are aware of the latest openings matching your skills and experience.

Pros

Some of the things that I like about ZipRecruiter are that as a job seeker, it is very easy to create a profile and the system ensures that it matches your profile against matching jobs. I think it has some of the better job matching mechanisms in place to be able to search for matching jobs that relate better to your skillset and experience. I also like the feature of one click apply in which you can apply for a position without filling in additional details as long as you have the requisite details in the your past job history and profile. The notification and alert tools available when a job is posted that match your profile is also good.

Cons

The experience of using of the website seems to be heavy and the general navigation of the system is not an intuitive as I would have liked. Also, it would be great if there was a follow up mechanism available when you apply for a job as there is latency in the current status of the openings and what is displayed on the website. If a resume needs to be updated on the website, the process is slow and not very responsive.

I didn't get any benefits at all from this service. I don't recommend to employers. Especially in a rural area.

Pros

It was definitely easy to fill out our profile and to create the job listings. There are plenty of options to make things specific to your business.

Cons

I didn't have one quality applicant from this program. We were constantly receiving applications and suggestions from people who had zero experience in the automotive industry. It is difficult to hire a mechanic that has never once worked on a vehicle.

ZipRecruiter has been a player in the recruiting space for a long time now and they are very aggressive in marketing (cold calling) HR and recruiters to join their platform and do post a lot of jobs - in every industry imaginable. Pricing is comparable to other sites that do close to the same thing. They have a trusted name!

Surprisingly, their employer view has a ton of features. It's like a light applicant tracking system for sponsored jobs where you can contact directly, reassign candidates to other postings, etc.

Cons

Their Employer view can be a bit overwhelming. The page has a lot of colors and buttons - which I'm not a huge fan of.

Ease of set up. Simple steps to describe my needs. I was able to set up the job page in under 30 minutes with the help of customer support.

Cons

it attracted too many unqualified applicants. It did seem that although with filters in place, applicants that had not connection to my industry were still able to submit applications and contact me via phone although only email was listed as the primary means of communication.

Pros

That it offers multiple options for the criteria you're selecting. It's not broad, but it's not too exact.

Cons

That it's just like any of it's competitors. Find something that's beyond everyone else when dealing with recruiting.
