ZipRecruiter is still going strong!

ZipRecruiter is great for assisting our clients in smaller to mid-size markets where we don't have a large candidate flow already in place. ZipRecruiter lets us target candidates with greater detail than other services. Example: Targeting a specific suburb or zip code of Chicago instead of (LinkedIn) "The Greater Chicago Area" - This ability to dig into locations and source from the database is outstanding!

Pros

Overall ZipRecruiter seems to be experiencing a resurgence in attracting high caliber applicants within the service industry from what I've seen overall in the last year. The database is another great tool that gives us access to candidates that we wouldn't get on other platforms such as Indeed. Not only that, but I feel it's a higher level of professional candidates across the board. The user interface is very easy to learn and you can customize alerts to your liking.

Cons

I felt for a while the site was a little dated, but it appears that they've modernized their look, user interface and are still able to attract top-notch talent. I think the value for service is greater when you're able to buy in larger quantities than on an individual basis, but that's the nature of the business.

Reasons for Switching to ZipRecruiter

The value of the service ZipRecruiter over Indeed is night and day. I don't have to sort through countless applications that are not even remotely relevant to the position I post.

ZipRecruiter Review

Overall, my company and I have been using ZipRecruiter on a consistent basis. We find it to be extremely reliable, and also, we always use it for a learning tool, so even if we're not hiring at the time, we still search through candidates, and see what's happening on ZipRecruiter to keep up with market trends. I find ZipRecruiter to be a staple, and I plan to be using it for a long time to come.

Pros

I really like the resume management tool on ZipRecruiter, and how it seems like they might be integrating this into their databases search engines and SEO. I have both used Zip Recruiter to find jobs, and we use it a lot to hire independent contractors. Almost always, I end up hiring an independent contractor that has used the Zip Recruiter Resume tool.

Cons

The only thing that does bother me, that I can think of, is when looking for independent contract/freelance jobs, I expect that I will be receiving email alerts for the specified jobs I requested. I have trouble with the emails I'm being sent most of the time. They usually tend to be super generalized jobs, and a good %50 of the time none of the jobs offered in the emails sent to me have anything to do with what I've requested or searched for to be emailed to me. So this could be corrected.

Reasons for Choosing ZipRecruiter

I found ZipRecruiters' pricing to make more sense and be much more reasonable for the 'premium' services we were looking for. Linkedin was charging way too much just for a job posting and wasn't consistent like ZipRecruiter is.

Reasons for Switching to ZipRecruiter

ZipRecruiter was more reliable with the candidates that were being sent to me. We hire a lot of independent freelance contractors on a per-project basis, and we needed to have a better database like ZipRecruiter to weed through what we didn't want before we were given the proper candidates. I like how we are able to have a more, sit back and it will be sent to us approach I'm able to have with ZipRecruiter, because it frees up my time to get a lot of other things done.

Great but check the filters

Overall they do a very good job and I am always wondering how many people that my resume even makes it to. They say that employers "see" my resume but I don't know if they just get an email or actually read what I put. So you are never really sure if you are just spinning your wheels.

Pros

This is a great tool to see what jobs are available in your area or others. The description for each job is very good and I enjoy the estimated salaries that they publish.

Cons

One has to be very careful with the filters. If you are looking for a job in an area you may get jobs that are either months old because they are sponsored ads or you will get something that is 100's of miles away because it says the job is in the USA and not just your area.

Reasons for Switching to ZipRecruiter

For the same reasons above from zip recruiter you are never sure if you just spinning your wheels.

ZipRecruiter - where have you been all my life

Easy to set up. Highest quality candidates over Indeed and LinkedIN (expecially when it comes to filtering out those candidates who are geographically undesireable). Loved the free trial for 4 days have already moved into a paid subscription. Love the "profile' feature and easy to communicate with clients.

Pros

Easy to set up. I did start with a 4 day free trial but the results (quality candidates) were SOOOOOOOO much better than LinkedIN (starting with LInkedIn, even though I said the job was in a certain location) has only had out of state candidates. I am sticking with ZipRecruiter.

Cons

A little more difficult than Indeed and Linked in to have an outside link to have candidates apply.

Reasons for Choosing ZipRecruiter

I was able to try it free of charge for 4 days and the quality of candidate was superior and the geographically undesireable candidates were filtered. Also very easy to scan and sort the best candidates.

Reasons for Switching to ZipRecruiter

Easy of use and better quality candidates.

Looking for Jobs just got Easier

Overall, I have found many jobs to apply for from this software and found one of my jobs the worked at because of applying on here. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a job.

Pros

Job hunting is a daunting task and very time consuming. This software made the job hunt process easier. The applying process is easy and simple once you add your resume and key details about yourself on it. They also help match the user with jobs that are related and helpful for the user. I enjoy using this software anytime I am looking for a new job.

Cons

It can be challenging to go through the job listings and find out if it is a scam or a real job. This is a common issue for many job hunting sites. I think better practices for jobs to be added and more security so less scam like jobs get posted.

Reasons for Switching to ZipRecruiter

There was a lot of scams posted on Indeed and I was having emails that you can tell not from a real company.
