TradeGecko software


TradeGecko is a cloud-based inventory management solution for small to midsize retailers, wholesalers and distributors. The system combines inventory management operations and online commerce.

TradeGecko features a B2B e-commerce portal that allows users to sell wholesale directly to retailers through customized storefronts. It also offers demand forecasting, customer relationship management (CRM), order fulfillment, accounting and sales reporting capabilities.

TradeGecko supports multi-channel sales and integrates with platforms such as Amazon, Shopify, Bigcommerce, Magento and WooCommerce. It also integrates with Xero and QuickBooks accounting solutions and supports multiple currencies and tax types.

Users can set reorder points per product and receive real-time updates to enable improved tracking and analysis. The solution provides customized reports with charts and graphs on inventory and sales trends. Users can add new customers or browse existing buyers and their order histories through a mobile app.

TradeGecko is available as a monthly subscription. Support is offered via knowledge base and videos.

    Integrated with Xero and support multiple warehouses. A user-friendly tool to keep track of your inventory. A cloud-based application which integrates with QuickBooks. Provides useful reports. Multiple price lists are supported. Great Customer service. The flexible process of payments. You can even link your firm to an e-commerce website. You can track the shipping and manage suppliers. You get a lot of features offered by other similar application, at a lesser cost.

    Cons

    Technical glitches encountered while you use the application and the system takes a lot of time to load. Sending invoices is time-consuming. Absence of the print feature. Limitation in statistics. Inventory management requires more advancements and organization. More customization required in reports.

    -A more organized experience for myself and my customers. -Great customer service. -An awesome on the web experience. -Quick and precise stock control.

    Pros

    For the consumer and the seller, this software simplified the buying and selling process. The software kept all the products organized and sent out all my invoices on time. The way it was able to keep track of my stock as it was received and shipped out was extremely helpful due to the speed and precision. Where free programs would take a million steps just to complete a sale and track stock, Trade Gecko would do it all in one go.

    Cons

    The software was a tiny bit sluggish at times when I needed it to function quickly. That is the drawback for any product that must be used over an internet connection though.

    app use is very easy and desktop view is a breeze, i use it every single day. We use it for 21 locations that our customer uses everyday as well.

    wish i could see the customer viewer as well, sometimes the customers tell me they are seeing something different then i am

    Pros

    TradeGecko is really user friendly and straightforward, but the best part is that they are constantly trying to improve and provide new features and integrations that are useful. Customer support is knowledgable and usually able to resolve any issues I face.

    Cons

    The mobile app isn't as user friendly as its desktop version and currently there isn't an Android version of the app.

    Just felt like a breath of fresh air in the inventory management world where programs often feel clunky and bogged down in old forms and reports.

    Pros

    How responsive it is, easy to use, clear and easy to read, flexible but above all the customer support has been some of the best I've ever experienced in business in general let alone from the software industry where customer service is often treated as optional.

    Cons

    Some of the reporting functions are still being developed....but due to there aforementioned customer service we know the desired reports are in the pipeline!

    Has gone down hill

    Been using trade gecko for years and sticked with them as our business has gone strength to strength. However I feel they have really gone down hill. Before their support was great, now it feels like nothing is being done, all the time its users money but not them.

    Pros

    There are a lot of features. B2b portal is great. I dont think there are many softwares out there which do everything TG can do

    Cons

    A lot of things keep breaking and nothing is being fixed. Every time a new problem comes up, customer services just deny it until after about 5 or 6 emails you prove then they say their engineers have identified the problem and are looking into it. Although months later and still no update or no fix. Right now the sales app is broken in terms of sync issue causing duplicate orders to be put on the system (a real admin nightmare when you have to double check each time to make sure you're not sending the same order again). The import/export system is broken as if there are lots of people using it, it crashes and takes hours to upload a small file (critical if you are trying to load new products on the system or change pricelists). The picture system was changed however it does not update the main pictures. Plus you have to double upload pictures a lot of time for them to appear on the sales app The system often lags when creating/amending invoices when the server is loaded (you click save and after 1 minute it tries to discard your changes and start again, or just crashes). The shopify connection crashes if you're inventory is too big (few hundred products +)

    The software is cloud-base, easy use and very powerful. It has different package to serve your needs. It is a good tool for wholesale business.

    nice interface. Very easy to use. I simply wanted to compare their service with another that I use and I think they may have the old one beat

    with the inventory variants, there are no selection boxes. it makes it harder to edit multiple things at once.

    It gets the job done, but the customer service is not that good.

    Pros

    I like that it keeps our inventory clear and precise, I can look and see exactly how many products I have and how many I would need to order to keep my warehouse stalked.

    Cons

    I do not like the payment system. There is no way to see when payment is made on the invoices unless clicking on each individual one, there are two columns, one that's created date, and one that's the last updated date, whether it's just payment or shipping or just from clicking on it.

    That I can contain all my inventory, customer base, selling tools and reporting in one program and also integrate into Xero accounting. The software has excellent functions and features and does everything I need it to. The TradeGecko team have implemented new functions and made improvements that have really made a difference.

    Cons

    The cost. It is a high cost to pay per month for software. It has taken a long time to get to know the product and therefore utilise the features.

    Pros

    Literally the only software that we have ever used that can connect multiple selling channels and successfully sync inventory.

    Cons

    Somewhat challenging to add products and variants. Takes quite a bit of time to learn and to get used to.

    Considering their enormous price hike it's not Work taking about anything that is a Pro. Stick to your contract and don't rip people off.

    I have been with Trade Gecko for two years and everything is swell, but yesterday we got a bill, when we were paying monrey - a mind boggling 175% increase without notice. What is stopping them increasing it per month. Very dangerous platform.

    This is a useful system to manage inventory items in the cloud. It integrates well with Xero, our accounting platform.

    Support is non existent. If you cannot handle the software integration. Stay well clear unless you have a integrator that has experience and is knowledgeable around trade gecko.

    I been using Shopify for quite some time now and Shopify has limited functionality when it comes to managing stocks level and sometimes stocks may not be accurate. I was looking for an inventory that works well with Shopify and TradeGecko so far is the most stable. Also the B2B platform is a win win for us, I don't need to hire a web developer just to create our own site! This is superB! Clean design and simple looks and feel.

    Hoping to support Dropshipping soon on future plans and also !This make the platform perfect! So far the system is good!

    TradeGecko is constantly adding updates and new features making it fit existing needs and adding features that answer needs we didn't know we had! Very easy to learn, use, and teach to others. Favorite features include ability to add pack sizes, categorize and move variants, and just the over all ease of use. Not to mention, the aesthetics of the software are excellent.

    Cons

    I really have no serious qualms with the TradeGecko software. The only slight "con" I can think of is the rounding on Purchase Orders. While working on a purchase order fractions of a penny are acceptable (happens often when working with packs), however, when the purchase order is saved, the rounding changes the order total. Not a huge issue, but the actual purchase price doesn't always match the total Purchase Order price once saved.

    - Different currencies - Different warehouses - Integration with Shopify - Exporter apps (to excel)

    Cons

    - Integration with Shopify not well designed (not possible to select specific warehouses). - Sales Order stages do not reflect distribution/retailer/customer needs (link to stock adjustment). - PO's releases not well designed. - Backorder features not usable. - Importing bulk orders not possible. - and probably more stuff. I was ones invited for a long discussion with a business analyst to share our business, issue, needs, etc. Apart from sharing, there has never been any follow-up.

    Having investigated dozens of inventory systems, TG is by far the best for our needs. Good points; compliant inventory valuation method, good reporting, easy import/export, multicurrency support, good 3rd party apps (inventory planner + shopify), landed costs, easy PO editing and roll-back, variant & combination products. This product acts as our "master" inventory across several channels. Customer service is excellent and very helpful.

    Cons

    Could do with basic user role assignments on their 1 channel plan instead of upgrading just for this. More 3rd-party integrations would be good.
