Auctria helped us sell tickets, promote our event, manage sponsorships, run our live auction, paddle raise, and onsite sales seamlessly from start to finish. The entire process gave our event a polished and professional look and feel for our guests. One of the biggest highlights of our experience was working with \[sensitive content hidden\]. From the day we signed up for the Launch Diamond level, her personal service, training, quick email responses, and attention to detail were absolutely priceless. She consistently caught potential issues before I even realized they could become a problem and always had thoughtful recommendations to help make our event successful. Our volunteers were also incredibly impressed with how easy the check-in/check-out process was, along with selling drink and raffle tickets onsite. Everything ran smoothly and efficiently, which made such a difference on event day. If you are planning a fundraiser or gala event, I highly recommend Auctria. She answered all my questions with a very quick turnaround. I also liked the professional look of the event website and easy to use for our guests. We also really liked the resources Auctria provided from cheat sheets, paddle raise recording sheets, and Auctria Academy. And the "Go Live" training that \[sensitive content hidden\] led for our volunteers. I thought the variety of reports offered was wonderful too. Cons: I had trouble finding where to go on the platform at times. There are so many features, that at times it was hard to figure out where to go add items. Thankfully \[sensitive content hidden\] took care of it all for me. Reasons for choosing Auctria We liked the texting feature, and we heard another local organization used Auctria and had a good experience and that was what won us over. We were preparing to do that again when our in-person event got cancelled due to Covid. Thanks to Auctria, we were able to (almost) seamlessly change from an in-person to on-line event within a week. By going online we were able to reach a much wider and larger audience, and cut down on the overhead of an in-person event. We eventually did return to a gathering and live auction, but no more silent auctions with people running around during mealtime (and live auction time) to check up on their bids. Creating and updating items and sending statements to participants with a balance was a breeze. Cons: I often didn't know when to use certain tools for certain aspects of my event- I had to be told that. For example, I was told that "Donations" is used for entering paddle raises but other aspects of our live auction were captured under bidding. This was a bit of a learning curve. Also, there is some double counting in the way income is tracked in Auctria which makes budgeting and accounting challenging. Vendor Response Thanks Ruth for sharing you experience. It does everything we need it to do, in a generally streamlined manner. Cons: There were some weird quirks, like you can't create a statement with only the outstanding balance. There were duplicate information (values & donors would not show up in packages) and weird design choices I couldn't change (ie hiding value in one part of the website would not hide it in another). Auctria was helpful in every aspect of building our Gala & auction, from the website for people to buy tickets, sponsorships or donate, to the ability to send emails to participants before and after the event. This robust system manages check in and out, tracks payments, live and paper bidding items, sponsorships and all the transactions during the event. It shows gross and net revenue throughout.
