Pros/Cons
Pros
- I like that it is easy to look constituents up by different attributes. I also like that I can rapid post a gift that is received from the constituents.
- The very fast, helpful and friendly service from the developers of MatchMaker. It is a true product of fundraising experience and innovation built to enhance user experience.
- If you need a versatile database, this is where to get one. The fundraising and capture of funder and donation information is outstanding.
Cons
- Connections are sometimes difficult to set up, and there is little feedback to troubleshoot when unable to connect.
- Lagging, where it won't load and then just closes out completely.
- For every entry you must put in the name, then search, and if the entry is new, enter and then search again - very awkward and time consuming.
Pros
- I have been using Zipbooks since last year and I have enjoyed the ease of use. They clean interface is very appealing.
- The invoices are simple, clean, beautiful and there is an "include PDF" option when sending out the invoice to clients (for those that prefer to print out and save their invoices).
- Custom categories are really nice, too. Love ability to add docs to transactions and link transactions to certain clients.
Cons
- Response times in my experience have been days and I am a paid member. Along with the responses are silly gifs some people may dig, but when you have a problem, it's downright insulting.
- Third party companies can make them look bad when they have horrible customer service.
- No balance statement, COG's are lumped together on the Income Statement, no division of income sources and no field on the Income Statement is clickable for a detailed report.
