The supporter profile is very robust. Additionally, the support from the Funraise team is the best I've experienced. They are incredibly patient and kind, and are responsive to every question. They are always open to feedback and keep us very informed on new and updated features. The cost is very competitive and I feel like you get a very comprehensive system without blowing the budget. #### Cons The only con I've run into is on the custom domains and the service fee to have one for each site. The donation forms, peer‑to‑peer pages, and campaign sites look modern and are easy for donors to use, which has helped improve conversion and donor experience. The automation around recurring gifts, receipts, and basic donor follow‑ups saves a lot of admin time for a small team. I also really value the nonprofit‑savvy support and training resources (Funraise University, knowledge base, and customer success), which make it easier to get up and running even if you’re not deeply technical. #### Cons The main downside is the learning curve and some usability friction when you’re still new to the platform. Some tasks, like configuring email templates, managing images and links, or finding the right report view, can feel a bit unintuitive until you’ve done them a few times. Because Funraise is quite feature‑rich, you sometimes have to click through several areas to find the specific setting or data you need. I’d also love to see even smoother UX around email content editing and media handling so non‑technical users can move faster. #### Reasons for switching to Funraise We switched from SupporterHub to Funraise because we wanted a more modern, donor‑friendly giving experience and a platform that felt purpose‑built for digital fundraising. Can't think of one thing they do better than other processors. #### Cons For a platform that both charges monthly fees and adds on platform fees (asking for more than 10% in some cases), the features that this company offers are very disappointing. They have a very slick marketing push that offers all these bells and whistles but when you dig in, they don't offer many standard things that others who don't charge offer. They charge extra for emails and their email editor is awful, very little ability to customize, add images, etc. Our drip campaign to donors will be way less attractive and effective using their emails. They require a complicated coding option to add foreign currencies and only offer progress bars on campaign pages, which are useless to us, and not on the forms themselves. Every single thing I've requested, I've been told they don't have that option or a complicated, user-unfriendly work around. #### Reasons for switching to Funraise I thought it had more functionality but that was incorrect #### Vendor response Hi Brad, thanks for your feedback and review. Funraise is an essential platform in our fundraising process. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 5/5 #### Pros Funraise has streamlined our donor management process, allowing all our donations from various sources to be funneled to the same place - from donations through our website forms, to checks in the mail, to merchandise purchases on card swipers at events. The platform is so easy to use, and we are able to quickly find donor information and pull reports on giving and campaigns. We have a large monthly donor base, and Funraise's functionality and security for recurring donations has supported this aspect of our fundraising so well. It integrates smoothly with many of the other digital platforms we use. If I had to say something, maybe a writing out plan or two on how to execute your first monthly donor drive or staff fundraise drive competition. It would also be great to be able to easily host event pages on our website without incurring a cost per instance.
