Renewals for membership was a huge task. Rhythm would be great for a company wanting to build their own system from scratch. There are aspects of the platform that have strengthened our operations, particularly the detailed financial reporting and visibility on the back end. Having greater insight into our financial activity has been valuable, and the GrowthZone team has been responsive when we have raised concerns and has worked with us to address functionality we were accustomed to having with our previous CRM. However, the implementation process was extremely challenging. The extended onboarding timeline resulted in real operational consequences for our organization, including lost revenue, disrupted member engagement, and significant additional administrative work. We also learned during the process that some capabilities we expected or previously had access to required additional modules or costs. Our greatest concern now is the member experience. Since transitioning to GrowthZone, we have seen decreased engagement within our member portal. Members have specifically reported difficulty navigating the community space, and the mobile experience has been particularly disappointing because members are redirected outside of the app to engage with the community. Event registration also involves more steps than necessary. GrowthZone has strong administrative capabilities, particularly on the financial side, and we appreciate the team's responsiveness to our concerns. However, for a membership-based organization, the member experience is just as important as the administrative experience. We would like to see significant modernization of the platform, a more intuitive interface, true in-app community engagement, a smoother event registration process, and a stronger onboarding experience. One of the strongest features for us has been the detailed financial functionality on the back end. We have much greater visibility into our financial activity, revenue, and transactions, which has been extremely helpful for tracking. I also love that we can use Zoom within the platform. Additionally, when we raised concerns about tools and functionality we were accustomed to having with our previous CRM, the GrowthZone team was responsive and worked with us to provide solutions. I appreciate their willingness to listen and respond to our concerns. #### Cons Our biggest challenges have been the onboarding experience and the overall usability of the platform. We experienced significant delays during implementation that left our organization without full functionality for several months. This directly affected our revenue, member engagement, and day-to-day operations. Communication and continuity during onboarding could have been much stronger, particularly when staff availability changed or additional onboarding sessions were needed. We also discovered that several capabilities we considered essential, including more robust email design, surveys/forms, and sponsorship/advertising functionality, required additional modules or costs. Coming from a CRM where many of these tools were already available to us, this was frustrating and made the transition more difficult than anticipated. The platform itself also feels clunky, outdated, and not very intuitive, particularly from the member-facing side. Our members have reported difficulty navigating the community space, and we have seen a noticeable decrease in member engagement in the portal since transitioning to GrowthZone. The mobile app has been a major dissatisfier for our members because accessing the community redirects them to a website rather than allowing them to fully engage within the app. Our members were accustomed to being able to easily post and interact with each other directly within the app. Event registration is also clunky. Users have to enter an email address before they can even see the available registration categories or services to purchase. It is a powerful all-in-one platform that helps us manage membership, events, communications, and reporting in one place, which has made our day-to-day work so much more streamlined. The onboarding experience really stood out. My onboarding coach, [sensitive content hidden], was the best. He was patient, responsive, and genuinely helpful, and he made what could have been a very overwhelming transition feel manageable and even enjoyable. That level of hands-on support set the tone for how we’ve experienced GrowthZone overall. I also really appreciate that the platform keeps improving. It feels like GrowthZone actually listens to its users and continues to refine and expand the system in ways that make a real difference for associations like ours. #### Cons What I like least about GrowthZone is mainly the user interface. While it is very functional and gets the job done, I do wish it looked a bit more modern and sleek. At times it feels a little dated compared to other platforms, especially on the visual side. I’ve also been somewhat disappointed with the community feature. It has not felt as intuitive or engaging as we had hoped, and it hasn’t quite become the active member space we envisioned when we launched it. With some refinement and improvements, I think it has potential, but right now it is not a standout part of the platform for us. #### Reasons for switching to GrowthZone We previously used MemberSuite. We made the switch because we were looking for a more intuitive, all-in-one association management system with stronger support and a smoother overall user experience. It can at times be hard to reach someone to find a solution for an issue. Tickets are created but follow up is hit or miss. Tutorials are ok, but lacking in any real, substantive explanation of why it works their way. #### Cons Customer service is horrible. A different person every time. Sometimes they know what they are doing, sometimes they don't. No consistency. Reporting is ridiculous, the ability to generate custom reports is based on what customer service creates for you, which requires a conversation with customer service, which is only after you create a ticket and go through the process of email send/response/send/response/send/response (circa 1999). Having all of our member information and data in one place is great, instead of having it spread across multiple products/websites/tools. #### Cons Onboarding was not very effective. GZ has dozens of features that weren't covered in our onboarding, and what we were shown was not productive since we weren't yet live with the product.
