GrowthZone, formerly MemberZone, is an online platform designed to help non-profits manage their members, fundraising, marketing, donors and volunteers. 

An online application form facilitates member signup, and the data from that form feeds directly into other modules of the system, including billing. The billing application offers features such as batch invoicing. Engagement reporting allows non-profits to monitor members that are most engaged or most at risk. The system also allows users to build their own custom reports.

GrowthZone is suitable for associations of all sizes. It is accessible from a variety of platforms including Mac, iPad and PC. It is capable of synchronization with third-party vendors to cut down on double entry into multiple disparate systems.

GrowthZone (formerly MemberZone) is great for Association growth!!

I was part of the team that examined many different Association Management tools for our non-profit. We chose GrowthZone for its ability to serve our customer - the Member. We found the features and functions of GrowthZone to add the most value for our Members. In addition, the reporting tools and Dashboard provided important information for our Board to make decisions regarding the association. From Membership metrics to event sales, the reporting tools (aside from the Ecommerce mentioned above) provided great insight into the overall health of our association. Finally, GrowthZone's support in my experience is exceptional. They have a phone number to call for immediate assistance, but even better, a chat function. After going through the training tutorials, I used the chat function regularly to glean information from the tech team on how to navigate and use the system. They were always friendly and helpful, and I got answers immediately so my time was never wasted in waiting for a response.

Pros

I love the enhanced options that GrowthZone offers for Members of an association. The availability of a dynamic profile for Members is a real value add. When a Member is allowed to post pictures, logos, content, social feeds, etc, all through their profile, it is additional exposure for their business. From an Association standpoint, these are big selling points for Membership. If you want to grow your Membership, GrowthZone offers amazing features to "sell" as part of the value of being a part of the Associaiton.

Cons

Some of the reporting in the Ecommerce system needs to be more dynamic. It is difficult to run reports of current product sales, and have them show up in financial reports and such. There seems to be a disconnect between the Ecommerce reports and the rest of the reporting functions in GrowthZone.

GrowthZone

It has some versatility! It functions well and does what we need it to.

Pros

We use it as a CRM, we are not a chamber. The price point is great and it actually works well for this. I love that I can email directly from the program. It keeps track of my emails and lets me set reminders. The reporting is pretty good too.

Cons

It can take a while for the customer service to return and resolve emails. I can't call in either for help.

Great organization for my membership.

Pros

Very easy to pull up members accounts, billing information, general contact information, and the reps information. Making membership mailing labels and membership reports is very easy with this software. I use this software to easily find any membership representative information I need. This software has also made it easy to look up and find a member.

Cons

The only con I have for this software would be the new update, i'm so used to the old version it'll take time to learn the updated.

Pretty easy transition

Pros

There are so many things you can customize to your needs. Setting up an event is awesome, you can create a guest list, sponsorship goals, attendance goals, you can even create and invitation and send it out all in the same place.

Cons

Pros and cons are kind of like a double edged sword with GZ there are so many different ways to do things and so many options that taking the time to learn them all are a must, otherwise you'd be missing out on a lot of great features. Very time consuming.

Wonderful Event Management Software

Pros

The mobile apps allow for scanning in of important information like business cards and also lets you process payments.

Cons

Although the reporting is great and highly customizable, the amount of options for parameters can be daunting for inexperienced users.

Donor Mangagement - This is a must!

Pros

This is ideal for all non-profit needs. Donor management, advertising or marketing, even keeping track of fundraising goals.

Cons

I have no cons with this software. I think it's an excellent tool for anyone to use. It's comparable with many other database management software, but I really like the interface and experience.

The database switch was worth the effort

This will save me time and be able to focus more on getting new members

Pros

Reports, the ability for people to save credit card info safely. The unique registration form and simple ease of use for members. The info hub for members to communicate.

Cons

Still doesn’t sort by last name. Having some delays in the initial set up that I though would have already been addressed by previous clients.

A tool to manage membership with a couple flaws

Pros

It is fairly easy to understand
Transition to software was seemless
Functions are available to do great things
Fairly affordable

Cons

Does not come with any live training, online webcasts are difficult to watch then try to use
Does not integrate as well as I would like with quickbooks
Reduction in service limits its usage

Just starting with this software

Overall - great product, looking forward to working in it. I'm sure whatever we're experiencing now is just a matter of learning about one-another, them about how we work, and us with how to properly use the functions they've provided outside of what we're used to.

Pros

easy to cross-reference areas of database, smart CMS is nice and takes some getting used to, but works much better than the past product.

Cons

have encountered more than a couple hurdles in the start up process, transition was not as smooth as we thought, nor is the QBs integration as simple and easy as we initially thought.

Pros

The customer service and support teams are very helpful. The product seems like it will provide great value and ease of use - once I am fully trained and used to it.

Cons

The setup, implementation, and training require some time. A bit labour intensive in the early stages to integrate existing data, but should get easier after setup.

Pros

After online education and some hands-on experience I enjoy utilizing this software. There is so much GZ offers - every day I learn something new. I am more engaged in website updates now more than ever, group emails are simple, and I enjoy getting creative with reports. Customer service is stellar.

Great Power for a Good Price

We came out of the dark ages into current technology with a little bit of an investment but well worth it in the long run! Stay away from overpriced solutions. GrowthZone can do the same or more at reasonable rates.

Pros

Easy to learn. Flexible and forgiving. Easy set up and maintenance. Great web platform will make a rookie into a web master in no time. I'd recommend this for small to medium trade or professional associations in a heartbeat.

Cons

Some things are fixed and can't be customized. The member types are one of them but you can figure out a workaround for your particular situation.

GrowthZone has a lot of reports and features that we use on a daily basis.

Pros

I like the calendar that syncs with our website to tell members of our upcoming events. It is easy to input descriptions and details. I like that it's an easy template and that you can copy past events.

Cons

GrowthZone does not recognize our affiliate members. These are members underneath our associate or builder members. They are still part of our association and have to be manually added to all reports.

Pros

Very intuitive! The functionality around events management is great! The fact that members are able to self-update their contacts and information.

Cons

A dream would be for it to somehow link to event-bright.
I feel like I still have lots to learn about it's full-functionality.

It is a great tool for membership orgs.

Took my excel spread sheet membership list and made it look professional on our website.

Pros

Nicely laid out, easy access and workability within the system. It has great options, job postings, advertising and accounting access

Cons

Lack of hands on training, I am not good with the tutorials that you have to watch. I would prefer to have a local seminar where I can learn hands on.

MemberZone Function & Use Review

I mostly use the program to manage our membership and representative directory, calendar events and registration, receive online payments. I like the calendar and online registration feature. I am learning to use the mailing/group lists, but wish it was a little more intuitive. I would like to have the option to add representatives by their titles or by a specific field. The customer service is great! They are very knowledgeable and quick to respond. Thanks!

Calendar, events registration, online payment option, directory, low maintenance database (MemberZone takes care of all the maintenance, yea!)

Cons

Not at intuitive for group/mailing lists. I would like a little more options for customizing fields.

MemberZone

My experience with MemberZone is primarily with the setting up events and the registration forms. It is easy to set up an event and have it appear on our website. Love the online registration! MemberZone makes it so much easier for us to contact our members and saves us time( No more printing and mailing out notices and registration forms)

Super Easy to Use - Great Virtual Tool
