ClearView CRM by Softrek is a software solution that gives nonprofits the tools they need to manage both their fundraising activities and their donor relationships.

ClearView CRM includes a suite of applications that bring together donor and fundraising information, both on and offline, into a single customizable database. Using this information, organizations can analyze donor relationships, stay up-to-date on staff activities and have access to real-time data.

ClearView CRM's user interface can be customized both at the individual and organizational level. Softrek's typical clients have operating budgets over $5 million; their products can be scaled to support large numbers of donor records. It is suited for a number of nonprofit verticals: animal welfare, environmental, faith-based, health care, museums and more.

ClearView CRM manages both online and offline fundraising and donor management. It tracks everything related to users' solicitation and constituents. ClearView CRM supports all administrative and operational tasks, while its Online Marketing Suite helps organizations better engage their donors online, with a donor portal, online event planning and online giving.

    I find Clearview to be extremely easy to use. It does not have a big learning curve. Great product!!

    Cons

    System can sometimes be slow but that may be because of the amount of data we have to parse. That's all.

    I love that everything is so easy to manage, and the reports I am able to create are thorough and detailed. It is very customizable to what we need.

    Sometimes I wish the search results were not so sensitive. It can be difficult to locate certain donors based on information given.

    We like that we are able to store all of our necessary donor data in one system and that it is very intuitive and user friendly.

    Cons

    We are still waiting for all functionalities that were found in the old interface of the system to be built out and completed in the new interface of the system. I also am not a fan of the reporting tool that comes with this interface. The reporting tool is very limiting in comparison to the one that we had been using, and still primarily use for our reporting needs. Especially the Ad Hoc reporting.

    Still figuring out all the pros and cons, but I appreciate the extend of reporting and ways to customize dashboard. Still have to get this set up.

    I wish there was a way to catch duplicate records or at least make suggestions on what to merge based on multiple matching fields like address, phone, email, last name, etc.

    This was a intergrated system we use to convert from a DOS based software program to Salesforce.

    The ability to do my job during software transition.

    It gets the job done, I am sure it was no easy task to merge data from our old software to this so we can end up in Salesforce.

    Cons

    The reports are not easy to produce, you really need above average IT knowledge to produce reports we utilize regularly.

    The reports are great and the simple search functions are easy to use and navigate. It provides information in real time.

    Cons

    Could use a freshening up in appearance. Would like to see a simpler dashboard with customized information and exported reports with direct links to CV numbers.

    This software is very easy to use and has good features. I can usually find what I need and the reports are very helpful.

    I used to use Pledgemaker and the transferring over of functionalities is taking a long time--lockbox specifically for what I need.

    I have used this program for about two years, and it is fairly easy to operate and meets our needs.

    It is fairly easy to use and navigate, I like the custom dashboards and prospect profiles. I also like the feature for recording actions with prospects.

    Cons

    It is hard to get responses from the support team, I have had many tickets that took over a week to be answered. Most of them simple tickets such as "add a new user".

    Once you learn what the different categories are it gives a good glimpse of your donor and their tendencies.

    I entered gifts into the database and gift entering is bulky and very time consuming. It seems like some of the steps could either be consolidated or eliminated.

    The software is fairly easy to navigate and has the ability to add much detail to the prospect file.

    Cons

    Running reports can be challenging. I find that sometimes data is pulled that was flagged to omit. The prospect search function is not broad enough. You pretty much have to use the exact way that the prospect is entered. It would be nice if it was a little smarter. I often search by name then by address or other information that I have just to ensure I am not creating a prospect for someone that is not a new donor. Often I will do this search with no results, create a new prospect and then only after I have gone through the process of entering all the information, the system will tell me it is a duplicate.

    It was an interim software we are using until we switch over to a New Database.

    Pros

    Writing List Queries. I find it easy to select the data that I want for the output. I also find it easy because the output comes in an excel spreadsheet.

    Cons

    It's reporting functions. It doesn't seem to have good report features I want to be able to compile a report and have it come out in a more readable format that I can present to people other then in an excel spreadsheet.

    CV Handles many functions in tracking information on a donor.

    We use quite a few features in the system including recording gifts, tracking grants, recording event attendees and who they sat with. We are working to build our relationships between different organizations on companies. The software allows us to handle these and the soft credits when gifts from in from employees of companies.

    Cons

    Some of the set up of a report is difficult. You have to have a domain set up in order to select the correct fields. Some of the domains are preset. It would be nice of there were more preset so you didn't have a build a complex domain in order to do a full report on a donor.

    More user friendly, so more staff can pull reports (instead of only one staff member pulling everyone's reports).

    Pros

    The looks of the software are top-notch. When working, reports are easy to pull, which allows more staff to pull their own reports.

    Cons

    The customer service seems to be lacking - canned reports will be broken, and when we ask for help, ClearView already knows what's wrong, but hasn't done anything to fix it. Then it takes a long while to fix reports.

    It seems to have a lot of functionality and makes donor management much easier to process. It's definitely a more streamlined version of its predecessor PledgeMaker. I like that every record is visible in certain views and pulling reports is also fairly easy.

    Cons

    As like much software, the updates are designed to make the software easier to use but I still find there's a lot of clicking from one page to the next to get to different elements within the same records. You need to leave one page to access something else entirely and I feel like it would be much simpler if everything were accessed on one page without all the extra clicks.

    The ease of viewing history. I am able to track a donor's history with one touch of button. This is helpful in fundraising campaigns.

    Concise reporting, an expansive database that makes it easy to log most of your donor information.

    Pros

    There are a lot of layers to the data that you see, and the reporting feature on the dashboard easily keeps track of YTD, MTD, and recent donations in a concise manner that makes reporting easy.

    Cons

    This program has most of what we need, but finding exactly where the information is or how best to utilize it can be difficult.
