Targetprocess Software

Targetprocess is a cloud-based, modular project management solution that allows users to visualize and manage projects using any combination of Kanban, Scrum or the user’s own preset work solution.

The solution features an array of applications which provide data visualization at every level of the organization. Users can automatically prioritize incoming work items and use visual encoding to flag projects. Targetprocess’ timeline mode shows a project’s progress over time and allows users to set milestones. Users can also track and trace every item in the system in order to visualize changes with live updates. Risk management compares original plans against the actual work to alert the team to any disparities, and auto alerts can be set based on customized risk criteria.

Targetprocess offers dedicated mobile apps for iOS and Android devices. It’s suitable for midsize to large companies in a variety of industries, such as architecture, IT services, engineering, graphic design and more.

Convenient Agile Project Management System

Pros

I use the online tool TargetProcess to manage Agile projects. The service works on the principles of Kanban and Scrum, it has a convenient and well thought out task distribution function, and you can also set statuses and priorities for goals.

Cons

In the online service TargetProcess there is no task combustion diagram, the predictive analytics function is not supported. The lack of ready-made project templates significantly complicates the work in the system. You can not leave comments to the tasks.

with Target Process for the long haul

Several of the team are remote workers, so it's great that it's cloud-hosted and accessible from anywhere. We've been able to customise it to add the fields we need, and - following a hint from customer support - we also use it to manage our retrospectives. It's also straightforward to interface from PowerShell, and we've used the API to integrate with our on-prem TFS system. The TFS side has brought challenges - but that's a topic for my TFS review! Once I encountered Target Process, it has been my Agile tool of choice, ahead of JIRA. In my first company, it was a little mysterious, and that was because we hadn't actually been properly SCRUM trained. Worse, we were trying to extract non-Agile information from it. That's not the tool's fault - but to get the best from Target Process, you do need to understand SCRUM (or Kanban, which it also supports). Once I got my SCRUM Master certification, the light bulb went on for Target Process too, and I realised the power it had.

Pros

The boards are just so intuitive - using a board to estimate user stories, for example, by dragging stories of similar complexity to the same story-point column. Being able to quickly throw together a board to view stories or tasks, on a grid with whatever-you-want as the two axes makes it really easy to understand how your work is partitioned.

Cons

The licensing model makes it hard to share info with non-users. You can generate (and export) lots of reports, but I'd really like to see a read-only licence that lets occasional visitors look around.

Great visual Agile follow the work tool

Very easy to use and adapt as the team or organizations learns and adapts it's way of working. All who I showed it so far were quickly happy to use it! It doesn't get in your way it helps you get the work done!

Pros

Ease of use, great visualization options, very good use of screenspace, lots of configuration options to tailor it to the team's or organization's situation or way of working

Cons

The graph advanced query/formula language is different from the query language uses in boards and a bit harder to grasp.

Works best for the organization which works on agile methodology

Pros

It is one of the best software to use while working on agile methodology. One can track one's own progress within the project.Found issues in the project can be reported with the help of targetprocess and assign to the particular developer.

Cons

I don't think there is any major bug in this product. It works fine in my case.

Great software to help with my team

Pros

I haven't been using Targetprocess for very long, just over 6 months. However, in this time, I have really come to appreciate the customization with data and presentation, and how these two areas are distinct.

Cons

I think most people should try a free trial. The interface isn't for everyone and there are other options out there. I think their support system could be improved.

Excellent, but rather difficult tool

Pros

I like the fact that thanks to this software I have the ability to track errors and respond to team members through tickets. In addition, TargetProcess allows us to conveniently organize our projects.

Cons

The software seemed to me difficult to master. You cannot assign task execution to several team members, and limited integration with source code repositories introduces its own corrections.

A good, but difficult to learn tool

Pros

Using Targetprocess allows us to quickly track the process of implementation of any projects, because due to its visualization of data, it contributes in many ways to the organization and increase the efficiency of our work.

Cons

Software is quite difficult to master. Not fully thought out system settings. At times, the notification system malfunctions by sending messages to the wrong participants.

Simple and convenient online service for managing Agile projects

Pros

We use the online tool TargetProcess for the full management of Agile-projects. The service uses effective techniques Scrum and Kanban. It is possible to assign tasks, set statuses and priorities.

Cons

Now consider the main disadvantages of the service TargetProcess. The first minus of the platform is the lack of ready-made templates for projects. The second minus is that there is no built-in task combustion diagram.

Powerful tool, but needs some improvement

Pros

Thanks to this software, I can instantly access all our projects through the desktop interface or through the mobile version. Each task can be set priorities and deadlines.

Cons

You can not assign one task to multiple employees. In my opinion, the service needs optimization, which will contribute to an increase in the speed of work. In general, software is difficult at initial development.

Only for large-scale projects

Pros

To be honest, I don’t have enough experience in using the application, but for a short period of acquaintance I managed to pick out some advantages: an attractive interface, a convenient whiteboard and the ability to build diagrams, several viewing modes, reports Rest API.

Cons

Well, the program is very difficult to learn, there is no Git-integration, the system of access settings is not very thought out, there is no possibility to entrust the task to several performers. For small and medium businesses, there is no point in acquiring such a bulky application.

Pros

I use the online tool TargetProcess to manage Agile projects. The service uses the popular techniques of Kanban and Scrum. There is a task distribution function. Each task can be set priorities and deadlines.

Cons

Targetprocess proves itself to be very confusing time and time again

Not really impressed for how much it costs. Very confusing!

Pros

The only pro I see to this software is the ability to track bugs/feature requests and reply back to team members on tickets.

Cons

I find this software super confusing. I am a pretty tech savvy person but this one really threw me for the loop. I can never find how to do simple tasks which is discouraging. I would not recommend using this software.

Targetprocess

Pros

We use targetprocess to keep track of our tickets and progress. I do like that it responds quickly and functionality of it is great.
We are able to have multiple people use this and add comments to tickets/issues which helps in communication with our team.

Cons

It is a big hard to use. The layout makes it a bit confusing. Perhaps if there was more of "how to" videos or a better implementation aid for new users, this would help

Good for kanban, not for source code

I have used TargetProcess in a project for a major customer in the fashion e-commerce space. We were using it to manage various projects at once, literally a portfolio. The query / filters structure is easy to understand and effective and the kanbans are very well implemented.

Pros

Great kanban board, very technical yet usable. Clear UI and easy to setup. Easy to manage cross-projects teams.

Cons

Limited integration with source code repositories.
