Booker software


Booker by MINDBODY is a cloud-based booking solution that provides businesses in cosmetics and wellness industry such as spas and salons, tools, which help them to manage their booking routines, payments, customer interactions and marketing activities. Key features include a built-in scheduler, social media booking, integrated point of sale (POS) functionality, email marketing, customer surveys and more.

Booker features credit card processing, gift certificates, e-commerce capabilities and can also accept mobile payments from the customers. The solution integrates with websites such as Yahoo, Bling, Yellow Pages, SuperPages and more that allows users to advertise their open appointments.

Additionally, Booker offers customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities, employee scheduling tools, a business intelligence (BI) dashboard and features inventory management, customer loyalty programs and a reporting engine. Mobile functionalities for remote access are also provided by the solution.

Services are offered on a monthly subscription basis that includes support via phone, email and other online resources.

    HORRIBLE FOR CLIENT PRIVACY WITH OTHERS USING THE SYSTEM with restricted STAFF PRIVLAGES

    Very Unhappy -Open access for everyone to see all history, private information on a client. If they see a screen with appointments they can see anything for the client with a few clicks. Other than no privacy Booker works pretty well considering. Im over the customer service answer is - if its a staff they cant see anything- really hire people that know your system and figure out how to add privacy.

    Pros

    Easy to navigate and use. Easy to teach new employees how to book appointments - keeps inventory accurate, and payroll is easy access.

    Cons

    The worst part about Booker is usually you get an experienced person to help although when you really need it you have someone helping doing what you can do , read off their online support. So frustrating!
    The worst part about this software is that person- such as STAFF should not be able to look at persons full history or personal information . The quick check in box at the top of appointments that is available to everyone allows all access. Just simply type in a name and here you have it . History, address, pros and cons about client likes and dislikes for everyone to see. NO privacy with this app . Therapist can look up past appointments - and its not their clients . There is no privacy with Booker -anyone can see everything no matter what settings you restrict. Cant wait to change this system to something more owner/ (HIPPA complaint- would be nice) friendly, so employees do not have access to private information. Anyone looking to prevent client information access , watch out for this app. Also continues to use other cc on various accounts, blaming it on whatever internet service you use, funny everyone says the same we all use something different- how can it be us- the business. We continuously have to call customers and apologize . Read other reviews same complaints.

    mostly easy to use but there are a lot of restrictions that make it sometimes difficult

    Able to keep appointments organized and also allow people to book themselves

    Cons

    there seem to be a lot of bugs to it and we always have to reboot; could be an internet issue but i am not sure

    Meh, but if anyone's used booking software connected to client info, they know that it's too complicated to pick up and leave for another software unless it's really worth it. So far, we haven't found any other booking programs much better than this.

    Pros

    The program had a lot of different options for classes, therapists and scheduling. And also offered a lot of reports for assessment.

    Cons

    Crashes ALL THE TIME. Misschedules therapists and takes away appointments. No SOAP note options.

    The clients both current and future have all given great reviews on the ease using the online service. Main pro's are being able to see current pricing and the availability of the stylists. Also, being able to book a stylist in realtime and also editing appointments.

    Cons

    Pricing was a little high but it's worth it. Management has already seen a slight change in profits that is very pleasing.

    It is a good software for scheduling your appointment and payment management and save lots of time to which need to visit physically. we can customize lots of things with this software as per our need.

    Cons

    We can customize its interface but sometimes its bit confusing to handle. while upgrading the software it introduces some of the bugs like lag. Customer service not at all good its terrible.

    It did give you a tracking method for services & products sold. It generated a monthly sales tax report

    Cons

    Booker charged us a "marketing" fee for months on end. Apparently the marketing product was not what we were sold - that is the ability to generate marketing campaigns to a specific demographics. Instead, it was an "automatic discount" offered to patients that motivated them to wait for follow up services so that they got them for a deeply discounted fee. Booker took credit for selling these services due to their discount program. In the end all they did was to sell price not quality. Quality should be what spa services are all about! If price is the final objection then it should be in the hands of the provider to decide what discount is appropriate. In order to sell more than one unit of Botox, we had to pick from an assortment of quantities of Botox to equal todays purchase. The software is not user friendly and the predefined reports are weak at best. It was not a management tool! Worse it did a horrible job of taking the place of our former hosted spa services software. When it came time to leave, they stole our data, gave us a few excel files and redacted them after a few months. I would neither recommend the product nor would I EVER purchase from this vendor again.

    This is a great system that offers a free trial, you should definitely give it a shot, it will support multiple locations, appointments even online payments.

    The system is very easy to setup, but customer support could be a little better, specially since the user is most likely not good with computers.

    Admin backend is solid and reliable. Lots of options to customize. Too many at times since finding just the right setting can take 15-20 minutes or require a phone call to customer service

    does not allow certain booking options (CF2) this forces you to send clients to a third-party website to arrange appointments get used to what Booker seems to be long-term

    Little downtime, but recently some issues with payments and texts (MindBody taking over?)

    Owned by MindBody. I ran from MindBody years ago, and now they bought Booker...
    New pricing tiers available on July 1st, 2018, but currently secret?
    Cost for API access is extremely high, must be on the top tier.
    MailChimp limited on API which forces use with HireFrederick
