FrameworkLTC - Long-term care pharmacy

Experience has been great. Long-term pharmacy is a challenging industry. Everyone I've worked with there has been very knowledgeable about their product and the industry as a whole. Developing relationships with your vendors is key to being successful and everyone at Softwriters understands that.

PROS

Functionality and ability to create operational efficiencies in our pharmacies.

CONS

No major cons. A more robust online portal for nursing home partners was always a needed improvement. They have listened to their customers and its something they are working to produce.

Reason for choosing FrameworkLTC

Felt that FWLTC was more a innovative company and had a stronger product. We felt that switching to their product would benefit the patients we are dedicated to serving.

Reasons for switching to FrameworkLTC

The main reason for the switch was to generate operational efficiencies, which would lead to decreased wage and related expenses. Both things my pharmacies were able to realize in a short amount of time.

FrameworkLTC is Great!

Going from paper to electronic, FWLTC has made a world of difference. For the pharmacy to receive ERX and faxes, then to process them, and to get them out the door is a smooth and easy experience. It has helped us tremendously. Support is something Softwriters has taken very seriously. When I call they are always pleasant and they take that extra step to help you. I really wish other healthcare vendors would take a page from Softwriters book, about how treatment of customers work. Softwriters has been there for our pharmacy whenever we need them, and always make us feel satisfied by the time we get off the phone. The seamless transistion between FrameworkLTC and ECM their document manager is great. Being able to easily and quickly pull up RX's, manage residents, run meds, dispense meds, etc has been a godsend. The look of FWLTC is also modern and easy to navigate. I really couldnt ask for a better product!!

PROS

The amount off features that FrameworkLTC has and what all the software can do makes it very easy for Long Term Care pharmacies manage and dispense medications!

CONS

On the interfaces side the HL7 QTY conversion utility could use some work. It is confusing and hard to manage. If it had a search function for NDC's, it would make a world of difference.

not the greatest

PROS

The customer service is the only thing good about this software and there is a lot of things to use with this but hard to understand.

CONS

It is extremely expensive and not worth your time. It is not very user friendly either and not worth your time.

Great LTC Software

Great software, easy to understand and makes daily operations more efficient.

PROS

We use FrameworkLTC to process new prescriptions and refills in 3 of our LTC pharmacies. We service skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities and adult care homes. FrameworkLTC integrates with our facilities EMar system making managing patient profiles much more efficient and safe. The customer service helpdesk is very friendly and knowledgeable. The company listens to customer needs and constantly makes improvements based off of feedback received from customers.

CONS

The only con is the limited reporting options within the software. There are a lot of reports but I always find myself needing a report that is not canned in the software.

Great all around Pharmacy Software

Everyone that I've worked with has always been very knowledgeable and helpful.

PROS

You can customize your software to meet whatever needs you have. I've worked with SoftWriters at 4 different long term care pharmacies, and they all have been configured a little differently to meet the needs of the individual pharmacy. I like being able to customize forms to meet your facilities specific needs.

CONS

The learning curve is a little tough, but once you get a few superusers up and running, it is quite simple to use once you understand the processes. The timeframe for a development request is quite long. If they added some people to that department so that they could turn those requests around quicker, it would be amazing.
