A bit complex

I like that it's integrated for free with Weebly.

Pros

I like that it does basically everything for you and you don't have to worry about invoicing. Weebly is automatically set up to use Stripe for your business payments so they work seamlessly together.

Cons

It is a bit complex at certain times like customizing invoices and working out more complex business aspects.

Perfect integration for my software!

Pros

It's super easy to integrate Stripe as the payment processor for my applications (iOS especially).

Cons

I can't think of anything that I like least. Even the customer support are super knowledgeable about every aspect of Stripe and always come up with solutions to problems.

It's what I use to process payments!

I am pleased with them so far, I have heard from colleagues saying they can easily process millions per year in Stripe and without issues so I am looking forward to continuing to grow with this payment processor by my side.

Pros

I used to use my bank's merchant for 3-4 years, thinking they were giving me a better rate. long story short, they weren't AND they were confusing to use. So I switched to Stripe, which is frequently used in my field of coaching and digital products. I have been very happy so far.
- I am able to process payments myself, it integrate with 3rd party shopping carts with ease (I use ThriveCart), it allows to create trials, subscriptions, all the things I wanted. PLUS I get to charge and bill clients on my own too with their cards on file which sometimes we have to do when the clients tell us to do so, instead of having to send constant shopping cart links. I was doing that before with Infusionsoft and my merchant, but now I can do it all within Stripe and it's easy.
- I have not had any issues with Stripe holding my funds or anything. Pleased.
- I like their simple reporting as well, how much money you've made each day, etc. It's nice to see the comparisons on the monthly basis as well.

Cons

- It's a bit complicated to use for someone who might not be techy. I am pretty techy and I think I've got a handle on it, especially since I mainly use it as the processor with my shopping cart, but if I had to use Stripe on its own, it probably would get complicated.
- Sometimes I find it hard to find what I need to in Stripe. Like, a payment would get declined and I'd want to rebill or attempt the rebill - sometimes it's hard to find the option to do that on the declined payment. I always do eventually find it, but I never know EXACTLY how to do it.
- I wish the payments landed in my bank sooner but I just switched it so it lands in my bank like a day or so after being collected which is better. My own merchant would be next day so this is now closer.
- Obviously always would be nicer if the fees were lower but it is on par with every other option out there so this can't really be a con since it's not HIGHER.

Avoid if possible

Very frustrating and annoying software for our use

Pros

Not much. Has everything it should have but even that is not easy to navigate

Cons

Confusing navigation. The main problem is that bank credits are not identified leading to never ending awkward reconciliation with the sending software. Worse still, the payments are listed gross of charges whilst the credits appear net. i.e. they DONT MATCH!!! So you have to guess for example that 237.37 relates to the credit sent of 245.50. Its ok if you dont have to resolve the two but if you have to match them in your accounting fuggeddaboutit.

Pros

Very easy to configure and install on my online shop, the user interface looks very clean and professional

Cons

The processing fees are a little high, and there may be a delay with payouts, but it is not too bad.

Easiest payment gateway to get set up with and use.

Pros

I have set up a couple of accounts through a few different kinds of integrations, and Stripe is a pleasure to use. The fees they charge are competitive, and if they are higher than a few options out there, they easily make up for it in ease of use, fraud protection and amazing documentation.

Have never had a problem with their service.

Cons

Really don't have anything bad to say. One possible area of improvement is in the reporting, just being able to drill in a bit more without having to export data and use Excel for some things.

Great for a Small Business!

Enjoy using the software and will continue to be a customer.

Pros

So easy to use and have your customers be charged without swiping or taking credit card info over and over!

Cons

Wish the fees were lower because as a small business every penny matters. Wish there was a different fee for small businesses.

Accept credit card payments online with maximum security

Pros

Stripe is one of the most secure and reliable payment platforms I have discovered. Once you're approved your account is activated. Not a coder? Working on a free website with limited options? Not a problem. Stripe gives you a short cut and past widget code to add to your website that gives your users a secure popup window where they can make payments for your good and services.

Cons

With the exception of the 1-2 week delay in their initial approval process there is nothing even remotely negative to say about Stripe, their product, or their customer service team.

Stripe is the best payment processor

We changed over to Stripe after experiencing fraud on one of our Paypal accounts (someone ran through a bunch of $1 charges to test credit cards) and having an awful customer service experience with Paypal. Stripe is great because its fees are low and it works with all of our websites.

Pros

It has really low fees and the customer service is much better than Paypal. I use Stripe for all my nonprofit clients' sites.

Cons

There can be a delay in money transferring into your account (doesn't transfer in the same day).

Managing billing easily

I used Stripe for regular monthly billing and subscriptions. I wish there were a few more options to just put a standard pricing in place, but the layout was very understandable and beautiful. It was not overwhelming to look at billing issues and deal with client problems as it has been with other billing programs.

Pros

I like the ease of communicating with clients and the visual presentation of billing cycles. Client information was easily understandable with this software.

Cons

I found it difficult to work with the building blocks and would have liked some initial set up options that didn't require as much customization.

Best payment processing solution

Stripe allowed me to setup payment processing on my site and get my business off the ground. Stripe's recurring payments has been a necessity for our Saas company, and the amount of extra work and PCI security we would have to setup without them would have taken us months.

Pros

Setup and integration was very fast. My team was able to integrate Stripe into our code and begin accepting payments in no time. Also the test environment with which we were able to test everything was magnificent. There were no surprises when we finally moved to our live account.

Cons

Reaching an actual person in support can be quite difficult. When I first started using Stripe I was a fairly small nobody, and the company made no effort to not make me feel that way. I had no negotiation power with the company, they wouldn't work with me on rates, and actually speaking to a live person at times was difficult.

Best Billing software I could find with what I need

Pros

One of the only billing softwared with lower processing fees (Relatively) as well as the ability to save credit card info for future charges, as well as create recurring billing. Every other software I tried and looked at lacked on of these.

Cons

Doesn't allow for saved products/features to be add in when creating an invoice, they can only be used whewn creating subscriptions.

Advanced And Worth Learning

I was essentially forced to use stripe for my business... yes, it was daunting and a bit of a nuisance to 'crossover' in a way, but I do NOT regret it. I no longer avoid online venues that require stripe. In fact, when it comes to online venues that offer stripe as well as other known payment portals/processors... I use stripe. I'm shocked that this is how it is for me now and annoyed with myself for not jumping on earlier.

Pros

As an analytic junky, I enjoy how stripe gives a bit more than other apps in the field as it relates to client/payment behavior. I like how it processes what I need it to process (as I work with international, local, and skeptical clients). This software, honestly, has given me exhale in my business and ease in carrying out certain tasks.

Cons

There is a bit of learning curve (at least for my intricate purposes there was). I'm unsure if stripe has videos teaching how to use certain features or accomplish certain tasks, but that would be useful. A task on their end -yes- but useful. Especially as it relates to creating coupons. Stripe looks daunting at first, but spending some time with it proves helpful. I wish the app had a bit more functions to it. It seems to have certain trends that I do not care about, and not much relating to what I DO care about.

Almost an ideal payment processor

Amazing. I wish it would be available in more countries though.

Pros

It just works and the fees are small enough. The most important fact form me is to how easy it is to integrate it for developers.
It's also really popular so it's easy to find tools that work with Stripe and can be added on top of it.

Cons

It's almost perfect. The only drawback is that Stripe is unavailable in many countries. So if your business is based in one of them you are out of luck.

Best Choice as a Payment Gateway

Stripe is the way to go, if you need many different options. Anyone can take advantage of the the flat rate processing. One of the best parts about it is that it is a global billing platform, so makes it really easy to recommend it to all our clients all over the world.

Pros

I work for a web agency and we create many e-commerce websites, mostly using woo-commerce so Stripe is great for our business and our clients. It provides everything anyone would need, accepts many different cards options and even has Mobile Pay option in Denmark which is pretty popular demand at the moment among all our customers. It is also easy to set up and doesn't need much customization and has subscription option as well.

Cons

The main issues is that you will have to keep an eye on the system as it does not have as it doesn't send automatics failure emails. Also the fact that you cannot change currency once the subscription has been made can be pretty annoying but it is mostly something that our customers have to deal with so on our side we are as a development agency we are happy with the Stripe.
