Talech Register is a cloud-based retail solution that offers point-of-sale(POS), inventory and customer management, and analytics. The solution stores in the cloud, and can be accessed from multiple devices. The solution can also be deployed on-premise.
The iPad point of sale allows users to take customer orders and process payment from on the floor; the solution supports multiple payment types including split bills and gift cards. Discounts can be applied to an entire order or a single item; the solution will automatically display a detailed breakdown of discounts applied. Inventory management features include a bulk upload and edit option.
Reporting comes built into the system, including transaction trends, employee performance and hours, and customer demographics. Information offered about this data include customer visit history and patterns as well as actionable inventory recommendations.
Talech Register offers support via phone, email and through an online knowledge base.

Would not buy talech again if had to do it all over.
Screens easy to read. what setup there is not difficult. Seem to have very knowledgeable customer support
No flexibility. Built for one purpose. Talech training is non existant, users are supposed to pick everything up from a few videos which do not explain the HOW of many steps.

Do Not buy!
Easy to use. Overall functionality is exactly what I was looking for. Online services are very easy to use.
Online numbers make no sense. The support team can't actually fix any issues. There is an update every week. The fees for anything never go away even when you fulfill their requirements.

Easy set up and friendly use. Customer Service is a phone call away anytime 24/7 for any issue you could have
More capabilities for small business without going to the premium package.

Talech is easy to setup, easy to modify and useful in its reporting.
Probably the best thing about Talech is that we could change items, categories and all sorts of information. Not just to get better reports, but when our menu changes.
Talech met our needs very well, but then we didn't have super sophisticated needs. I can't think of any cons.

After test driving at least 4 POS (Shopify, Shopkeep, Clover, & ConsignPro) systems, I have opted to go with Talech. The system is basically Shopkeep without a comissions/consignment function, but with e-commerce intergration. Starting my new business the lack of a comission function vs. the ability to intergrate with my website shopping cart was an easy choice. The price although more than I was aiming for is still much better than others offering the same functions and reporting.
remote reporting from anywhere
easy checkout
simple inventory upload
E-Commerce Intergration
Affordable Pricing
No ability to track comissions or consignment product
If you are looking for a simple IPAD POS to track inventory, this system is right for you!

Really simple to use and it's easy to use the POS app. Also its compatible with all different types of Bluetooth devices.
The cost is a bit much. Also, the customer service representatives are hard to reach. It's a pain when using multiple terminals and we have to shut one down.

Within the agency we have identified only 3 excellent point of sale options that are handled from an iPad, Talech has always been one of them.
We would like that Talech could be used in other devices to give it a larger number of users. Our clients do not always have an iPad and it is not an expense they want to make

Once you learn everything, pretty easy to use simple POS app. Keeps good data, stores most information that is needed
It should have the ability to print out tickets per order. The updates sometimes make it hard for the users who were used to the older version

Ease of use is it's strong point for sure! I've trained a volunteer to use it in a matter of minutes. It really takes the feel of a standard cash register, compatible with all sorts of Bluetooth devices for card readers, scanners, and printers. Looking up previous sales and daily totals by various segmented data is great, no needing to log into a separate program or computer interface.
It can be a little bit of a pain when trying to work with both a keyboard and a Bluetooth device, or if you are using multiple terminals close to one another. I also dislike the open order feature, it defaults to saving any order you've started prior and just lists them for days.

Simple, straightforward POS for a reasonable price.
Its easy to use, easy to train and inexpensive. If you have simple menu or product list, there is no reason to pay more.
The support is a little shake and disorganized at times. There are also some midstream issues with their development of an enterprise level system.

This system can be easy applied on iPad, touch screen is easy to use, data analysis function is useful. It also has working time recording function for employees to record their shift and also easy to tracking. We use this system on daily bases, so the end-of-day report is an outstanding point.
this system only works on small business, or the business which do not have large volume of products. If the business do have large volume of products, then it will take a while to find out the product that you are looking for every time.

I like that the system is customizable and the reports are easily accessible from home or any tablet.
Customer support is hard to reach and the program is missing features that restaurants need and it takes too much time for them to be implemented. And every time there is a system update, some other part of the system fails

Can order from the table.
I like that the software utilizes iPads at table side, enabling orders to get entered and executed more rapidly than with a stationary POS.
I don't like that it is not ready for use in restaurants, and that our training session was with someone who barely knew the basics of the software. There are so many features that are missing that are basic to restaurant utility. It is not solid like 2touch, the software we were using previously. We have had to struggle through problems, some of which have been addressed and fixed by the developers and some of which have not.
Training was poor, and there's no manual, just isolated pages. After months we JUST learned that we can void a payment by swiping left on the payment. Perhaps there should be some visual clue to show this possibility.
We are using EMV, and there's no way to swipe to start a tab for a customer. Even if it doesn't use the credit card for charging, being able to swipe to start a tab with the customer's information would be helpful in our busy bar.
The chip readers and the iPads are daily becoming unsync'd (bluetooth) for no good reason and have to be re-sync'd.
There is no way to schedule or send a daily emailed report at closing time, and there's no way to customize a report for our team.
Comps have not been thought through. We were told to use house accounts, which did not work correctly for tax reasons, then told to use discounts, which we are now using. Party deposits have not been thought through. We were told to create a product and a discount for deposits, but will be using house accounts.
There's more but I'm at limit.

We have our Talech system putting tips in for people who do not get tips (dishwashers, cooks, etc). I can not get it to stop. I have tried the 'fixes' that have been suggested- they do not work. My concern is if we ever get audited, the people who didnt make any tips might get in trouble for not claiming them (even though they didnt get any tips) and that we might get in trouble as well. It needs to be addressed in my opinion

We have used this product for about 1.5 years now. Training was great to make set up fairly painless. The reports are great for processing payroll and sales taxes. We don't use it for inventory but it looks like that would be easy to use as well. Our staff likes it and we as business owners like that we can see what's going on even when we aren't there.
