Vend POS Software


Vend is a cloud-based point of sale system for retailers of all types and sizes. Vend offers tools to help manage the customer experience, as well as sales, inventory, customer data and more.

Vend is designed to work on various devices including Macs, PCs and iPads, and a dedicated iPad app is available. It can also operate with a range of in-store hardware including receipt printers, barcode scanners and cash drawers. An offline mode allows users to continue selling even if the internet goes down, and automatically resyncs once the system is back online.

Customers can check into a store using a mobile phone and pay using their PayPal account.  Vend can support input with a mouse and keyboard or a touchscreen, and the point of sale screen can be customized for access to popular products or actions. Other features include inventory management, tracking customer information, sales reports and integrations with Shopify.

Near-perfect system

Pros

Even if you are not really a techie person you can easily adapt to Vend. You will not have any difficulty using this application. I also love its price and value.

Cons

I hope that we don't to pay extra in order for us to have a premium customer support. It's very important to resolve our issue as soon as possible. But all in all, Vend is better than its competitors.

Incredible POS System

Pros

This POS system is very easy to learn, even with people who are not really tech savvy. My team members confirmed that even I am not around they don't have any issues using it.

Cons

The only issue that I have with Vend is it can only be accessible through the Chrome browser. But I am confident that it will happen because they're are always making improvements and updates.

Pros

This Vend software is a faster of for Mobile Payments and compatible especially in my gadgets. Make a partnership strong and connectivity of each company. Ibalready make a expansion. This is so pretty good.

Cons

You Get More than What You Pay For

Pros

Vend is user-friendly for beginners and what I like about is that it is affordable but still competes well unlike those other expensive systems.

Cons

I have not experienced any big issues on the system as far as i was using it and that is quite impressive!

Pros

It can be well organized by the person who sets it up. It allows quick keys and is very Ipad friendly!

Cons

It can get confusing if there are lots of products. It also logs you out sometimes while you are working on something.

The design fits my personality!

Pros

I’m a proud user of Vend. Very awesome because my inventory manage pretty good. The features is like able.

Cons

I think no more cons in vend. No more issues at all. They are quick in helping me when I asked something. I already accomplished my target sales. Without vend I cant have my success.

A Small to Medium Retailer Friend

Vend is fast, effective and efficient.

Pros

1. If you have a company that is very busy and its hard to keep track of your stock levels then this pos is a system you need.
2. Searching in Vend is fast, it organizes everything and gives you thee option to create different variants of items which produces results in timely manner; reducing customers wait time.
3. To every business safety is very important and Vend uses the Cloud which is safe, can be used offsite, and allows 24 hour access to all reports every day of the week.
4. It is pretty easy to use, very straight forward like similar sites that I have used and your staff members will be relieved of how user-friendly this is.
5. Stock orders no longer have to be a headache. You can add your suppliers information and when stock is low Vend automatically creates a purchase order and send them off. Now who wouldn't want such a handy feature?

Cons

1. When inputting the float and an error was made i found it challenging to change that information.
2. The company I work for also uses Quickbooks and being that these two companies are integrated we were delighted only to find out it can only be combined for US residents only.
3. Its a quite pricey especially for start up companies.

After a year of use...

After one year of using Vend my impression of the product has dropped drastically. The reporting functions are pretty much a joke and the accounting features are a disaster. The only thing worse than these two things is the customer service department which for a year has responded to virtually every inquiry with "The program can't do that", or "It is a feature we are looking to add." There is no report to tell you what, if any, inventory has had it's inventory on hand adjusted (which every professional program does have to combat theft). You actually have to look at each item individually, which when you have over 30k products is not something you can do. I purchased it for two key features, the ability to issue store credit and the ability to integrated with Quickbooks on-line. Only after I started using it did I find that it can do one or the other, for some bizarre reason, not both at the same time. The ordering screen does allow customization and only lists a products description when creating a purchase order. When you have multiple paints from different distributors with the name "Blue" it is impossible to tell which it is. You have to add the brand to the name, which might not be an issue if you start your business using it, but when transferring from another program plan on spent countless hours renaming your products. Then there is trying to enter your daily transactions in your account software when Vend's report don't balance sales and revenue. AVOID!

Pros

Front end is clean and simple for employees to use. Fine for a very small or beginning business.

Cons

Reporting functions are terrible. System was not designed by anyone with any understanding of accounting or running a B&M retail business. Only capable of working for a very small retail business.

Solid, but not exactly what we needed

Pros

Solid user interface with a simplistic design.
Offline mode, in case the internet drops.

Cons

Great Affordable POS for Small Businesses

Pros

I love that it syncs with PayPal. Also I can customize my receipts with my logo and I also like that I can offer in store credit for returns or gift cards. Love the option to offer layaways.

Cons

The software won’t work on older iPads. I had to upgrade my IPad so I could use it.

Pros

I use this one for our inventory management system. Good for everything very details and specific when it comes to report.

Cons

From customer service stand point, they are an amazing company, they will try to accommodate and go above and beyond to help you.

Pros

The system is very easy to learn, the report capability is what we like the most, having the ability to run report to analyze the sales and patterns, is very helpful in planning , buying inventory, since it is capable to also hold inventory, to send emails to alert when inventory is low, is amazing, we love the system for our small store.

Cons

Not much, we had some issues in the beginning with credit card connectivity, but not for any of the system fault, it was the way our store is set up with our internet, once all that got squared away, the system worked perfect.

Customer service availability and informative, however, not much on they can do solving the restrictions within the platform.
