Content Central is a document management software that helps companies to sort and store documents. The software has a multi- deployment option and is available as a Software-as-a Service (SaaS) model or can be hosted on premise. The tool can store documents in multiple formats, and allows companies to make their own customized rules and guidelines for document storage. The approval processing functionality allows businesses to track and manage all parts of a document’s lifecycle. The system also features an approval queue allowing managers to take action regarding documents.

Content Central allows users to bring documents from a meeting directly into Microsoft office. Users can route revised documents to managers for review and feedback. The software allows users to review the history of each document to audit the changes made to the document. Users also have an option to roll back to the previous version of the document when required. The software is available for a limited period free trial and is priced on a per month subscription basis.

I have used and implemented several electronic document management systems over the last 15 years. Ademero Content Central is a full-featured and user-friendly system with robust search, good security, and automatic filing plus automated structure building capabilities. The end user has the ability to customize their personal view within their login credentials. Since there is no client software to be installed, the deployment to end users is as simple as opening their web browser and clicking on a bookmark, or favorite. The Approval Process works great and there are also some nice workflow tools to further customize the system to any business need.

Pros

Price vs. Feature Set - the best on the market in my opinion. Has many features only included in more expensive systems. The system is also available in a Hosted Solution so as to eliminate the upfront capital investment and be delivered as a fully functional SaaS solution. Ademero is constantly improving the user experience by leveraging the newest technologies for a seamless experience. The administration is straight forward and logical.

Cons

There are many excellent features in Content Central. I would like to see the continuing development include deeper customization within the current feature set.

Advice to Others

Don't buy a system until you have spent some time reviewing this solution. Good price - good company - easy to use

This tool helps with managing documents on the web and can help finding the docs easily and quickly on the web under my account. The tool has good indexing functionality to search the docs quickly.
Content can be managed well and can be kept online safe.

Advice to Others

Good place to keep your important documents. Seems a safe place for the docs as it can be used for backup purpose as well.

First of all, it’s a web based system which manage a complete life cycle of content documents (I tried earlier google docs as well which can help with revision history). Ademero, works a little bit in that direction but it helps a lot. Even having ability to customize options helps further.

The User interface again here is little busy. I guess this can be improved. Sometimes you can find a lot of functions and data in 1 screen.

Recommendations

Good for managing documents online. UI is busier so that might be little distracted.

The service is difficult to reach immediately by phone. There is online chat available, but if complex question not easy to resolve quickly

Recommendations

If needing a document storage filing and a/p workflow approval process, and on a tight budget, this is a good option.

Ease of use - very simple to use. We have used this product for several years and have had a great experience with Ademero - the customer service has been great to work with. The product updates keep the program current with our needs.

Likes Least

Java must be updated or there are a few minor issues but with current software - no complaints!

Recommendations

Ease of use is a must! The basic function of the product is to scan in documents and be able to retrieve an identical copy when needed.

In my experience, not much. I'm sure this is a good company, but I didn't see any of that.

The software didn't work the way it was sold to me. It took what seemed forever to get one of their experts to give me the training I needed to train my users. The quality of that training is such that my users still do not use the software. I only have about 1/3 of our paper documents stored in this system. The rest are still in fireproof file cabinets because we still do not know how to run the system, or users are unwilling to learn something that takes a great deal of training to master.

Recommendations

This needs to be deployed in a single dept. with a small group of users, who can become familiar with the software and all it can do, and that be their only function, then they can teach its use to others in the company. You cannot learn how to use this if you are distracted by day to day operations.

The software is very easy to use and administer and the vendor is very knowledgeable.

When rare issues arise, if it is not something already known by the vendor, response times can be a little lagging.

Recommendations
