Pros

NueMD is very intuitive, making it easy to use from day one. We are a multi-disciplinary clinic, and NueMD supports the needs of each discipline smoothly. I love how I can see the schedule for every provider in the clinic at one easy glance.

Cons

NueMD does not seem to "Auto Refresh," so I have to keep clicking the Refresh button to see any schedule changes that are made up at our front desk. Also, NueMD does not allow for double-booking two patients at the same time for a single provider. So if two patients are scheduled for me at one time, the front desk has to schedule one patient in a different 15min time block, and this sometimes causes a little confusion on when the patient is actually scheduled to come in.

Cons

Would not work for larger practices as there are too many windows to open for just one task.

Pros

The clearinghouse is amazing, never had issues with any claims. Price is good as well. Price is good.

Cons

The payments posting is fairly cumbersome, ERA window does not allow you to look at your ERA and post payments at the same time, unless you import your ERA or print it. Does not changes claims status for COB , you have to manually do that. Loading old ERA window has glitches and you have to log out and back in in order to pull old ERA. If you posted pt payments though the batch function you can no longer print a receipt for the pt once the payment is posted.
Customer service is difficult to get in contact with and I do not get notified when tickets are being resolved. Does not seem to have a structure as to how, when and whom will contact you.

Overall this product is very easy to use and learn. Customer service are always really helpful. They are always coming out with newsletters that are helpful guides or new things they have added to the software for an update.

Pros

I love how everything transfers over to the next screen as long as you have saved your information. I also like how you can stop in the middle of completing the patient information and if you have new insurance to add you can just save and go to top and automatically set up the new insurance information for the facility and then hit back and it will take you right back to the page you were on previously. Software is very easy to learn and they have great training sessions also they can set you up with some guides that take you step by step through the process of getting started.

Cons

The only thing I do not like is when looking up dx codes it doesn't always take you to the correct code if you are putting in partial information and you have to word the dx just right for it to pull up a code you don't have stored in your settings. It would be a lot easier to have a encoder that also helps you with edits.

Was a little less expensive, they did send out statements every month as agreed to. They deposited the checks directly into the bank.

Cons

When I quit using them and after 90 days, to get my remaining data to continue to bill for the money they hadn't collected they extorted another few hundred dollars before they would send the disc with my accounts on it so I could have my new billing collect the money they hadn't.

We have used multiple different softwares since we are a billing service. Currently we move all of our clients on to Nuemd as it is our favorite software to use! I love that you always have the most current version and it is cloud based so no need to have specific computers. Every update they roll out improves the functionality and they are always open for suggestions on how to improve!

Pros

It is so easy to use! Simple and straight forward. I love that it is always improving and with every update new features are available. You don't make a one time purchase and then have to repurchase in the future, you always have the most up to date version.

Cons

There are times that not all of the bells and whistles of EHR/ billing combined are not there; but with every update it gets better and better.

Terrible, No Follow-up with EDI Enrollment

Their transfer of old data from a previous system is sparse and it is easier to save money and do it manually.

Pros

Sorta easy to use but why everything has to be refreshed even when it is the first time on a particular section makes no sense.

Cons

Absolutely no follow up with EDI enrollment. First they never sent the EDI enrollment for Medicare, we had to follow up with Medicare to find out what the status was. Once we found out that they never sent over the enrollment we had to have NueMD send over the enrollment and get everything set up. That was their job, not ours.

You can design whichever templates you want they've got access to scores of public data and lists and up-to-date information which they can help you in a great and as you start to implement and discover small changes you want to make they are very responsive and quick at making them to make your life as easy as possible because even with a ton of preparation and reading you'd simply don't know what you don't know I think getting a product that isn't concretely structured is probably the best pro in addition they close second would be the staff at every level is responsive and great

Cons

There is no video telemedicine capacity at this time. Also some of the navigation at first is not as intuitive as I would've liked however it was easy to learn

Software seemed to be easy to use. It had a nice look and feel about it. The demo made it look very simple to use.

Cons

We needed a new Medicare Portal. They had a good looking software, and they assured us it would be a breeze. We wanted to use our own staff to do the billing vs. using their people. They insisted that was fine. But when we were training to bill using their programs, it was clear they were not as skilled doing DME as they made out. My guys complained they were training their people more than they were training us. We submitted out first 10 claims, then another 10, then another 10 claims. Every single claim got rejected. They seemed to be baffled as to why. To date, I have not a single claim paid, and it has been two months.

So Happy with NueMD

NueMd has taken the stress out of our claims and payment cycles. Our previous biller was holding claims for 2 weeks before sending them out and then never followed up on the transmissions that didn't go through. We rarely have errors with NueMD and if something gets kicked out by the Clearing House it is easy to identify and correct. We are able to send our claims out in 1 day and receive payments in 3-21 days.

Pros

We brought our billing in-house, and the training and support offered really eased the transition. NueMD made sure we had our accounts set up correctly and walked us through all the steps. I highly encourage purchasing the training if you are nervous about doing this yourself. They provided a workbook and weekly training sessions to make sure we would succeed.

Cons

There are some reports that would be nice features as we are facing QPP. I would love to have a report to print address labels for my patients, and a report that links encounters, dx codes, patient name and our Practice Fusion chart number. We are working with a Qualified Registry and this is something they need to pull data for the quality measures.

More accessible schedule for our work day.

Pros

The option to see our full schedule akl at the same time. As opposed to different departments on different screens.

Cons

The only thing i dislike so far is having to log in everytime i want to check my schedule. I would prefer it if my scheduler would stay open as long as im logged on. I go away and then come back after periods of time to check updated schedule,and always have to log back in.

I really like the functionality of the program and ease of you. My staff required none of the training provided by NueMD due to how easy it is to pick up! And whenever we have a question, my trainer is quick to respond with instructions. I like how you can have multiple provider columns and manage your individual view per user.

Cons

The only thing that comes to mind if I really think on it is the "reminder feature". I wish there was a way for the system to automatically send a reminder for a patient's first appt if they are doing multiple therapies.

The customer service is horrible. I've called and emailed many times with no response. When I first started using Nuemed they were amazing and actually cared about helping a new client. I guess because I'm a small business owner and only have four provider with them, I'm no longer a priority. When my contracts are up I will find another company.

Its easy to use therefore I have more time to focus on other office duties than billing. It also keep things organized and tracked more efficiently

Pros

It is so easy to learn and is user friendly. We were able to start transmitting claims in just a few days, and Medicare which can take up to 30days was approved to transmit in less than 10days. We started receiving ERA payments within 10days of billing out. I have been in the business for 30 years and I have to say that this has been the easiest transition of setting up and billing without any problems whatsoever that I have ever experienced. The training was easy and friendly. I was really impressed with each department specializing in their own field, and the introduction and welcoming was awesome as well as the user friendly Nuebie Notes to refer to if you forgot anything during training.

Cons

I haven't experienced any cons yet, I am very happy with everything so far. I guess I would have to say the only Con that comes to mind is that I wish I had found your business a long time ago.

Way to get ahold of your billing and support team. Program needs Java script to work but other than that it's easy to figure out. If you use them as your EHR it's easier, you can even verify the insurance from the program vs going online or calling.

When i decided to start a billing company 5 years ago i must have Demo'd about 10 different platforms. They ALL did pretty much did the same thing but what stood out about NueMD is that it was a clean ,SIMPLE, and intuitive interface. The learning curve was low and getting staff up to speed on the software takes days instead of weeks. Highly recommend this software!

I just started using this software as thus far it really is user friendly. And if I can't figure it out the help section is a great tool to reference back to. I have used many softwares over my 23 years in the medical field and this truly has been the easiest to move around in. Love that I can change the color scheme when I have two open and can tell which product I am on without having to read the top line!

We've had nothing but issues with this system. Every time we call customer support, when they decide to respond, they tell me it's our internet bandwidth so nothing they can do. We're dropping this company as soon as the contract is over.

Our pediatric therapy clinic implemented NueMD 3 months ago. We were impressed with the personalized support through the implementation phase. Months later we are quite pleased with how standardized and easy the software is to use. NueMD has thought of everything when it comes to software features and user needs. Our therapists are enjoying the cloud based scheduling module and, as the clinic owner, I am more efficient than ever! NueMD has enabled me to focus on the critical few instead of the critical many!

I would like to see the app updated with more of the web based features.

We really enjoy using NueMD! Our biller is extremely knowledgeable and accessible.

Setup was fast and easy- we started submitting electronically within 7 days which sped up claims processing by weeks for us! Easy to learn and use, training is available when you need it and the online help sections are easy to navigate

Overall I have had a great experience with NueMD. The system is easy to learn and understand. I have used other systems in the past for documentation, but prefer the ease of NueMD. I have had an issue with a glitch in the system, but customer service was willing to work with me to figure out what happened and to resolve the issue. I would recommend NueMD to anyone who asks.

So far this is the best billing software that I have used. I was using a different software prior to the switch and I love it! Nuemd is so easy to learn and use. It makes claims and billing go so much faster. They really do have it figured out to help out with production. I have recommended this product to several other physician offices. The scheduler is very easy to customize to any practice schedule. Easy to use with multiple locations without confusion! Nuemd was very easy to adjust to. Learning it was so easy and there is such great product support. Nuemd helps make the billing so much more effective and claims are paid a lot quicker with fewer rejected claims. Also, I LOVE that it is web based that way you can access it anywhere with the internet. That makes a big difference with multiple locations.

Pros

It was very easy to learn and use. Very effective product for our multi-location office. Great product support. Claims are processed quickly and rejections are down to almost none!

Cons

There is not much that I do not like!! This really is a great product. No complaints on my end so far and I have been using it for 2 years.

Advice to Others

I really think that any office looking for medical billing software with a scheduler to try out Nuemd before any other. You will be very happy with the results. By far the best software company out there.
