Ease-of-use

The product is not intuitive, nor is it easy to navigate smoothly. On the other hand, you have lots of time to get other things done while waiting for new pages to load.

Functionality

The billing doesn't seem to actually bill. The coding and ordering are difficult, awkward, and slow.

A high quality product would not freeze up all the time like this one does, losing data along the way.

Customer Support

Like many others say, the support is slow to nonexistent.

The program is awkward to navigate and slow to load or go from page to page. It takes too many clicks to perform a task. It does not give me lab values in a trend view at all. The e-prescribing takes too long. Ordering procedures is dreadfully and painfully slow and awkward. The patient portal seems meaningless. It is too easy to enter data into the wrong chart. It is not intuitive.

Recommendations

If it is like this, stick to paper. If you must use this program, prepare to get a lot less work done in the same amount of time.

There are too many clicks. We have no idea where the data for some of our reports is being pulled from, and the numbers don't match up.

Functionality

The reporting that we need for PCMH is not accurate. UDS reporting is not accurate. Therefore, the reporting process must be done manually.

Product Quality

Providers are unable to finish charting in a timely manner. The reporting is horrible. There's a 30-45 sec delay between screens, and a lot of times, we are unable to print charts.

Customer Support

It's the worst customer support I have ever experienced. We often wait for two hours when calling the support line. Then, we're suddenly disconnected and have to begin the process all over again.

My facility has been waiting since December 2013 for a server swap and upgrade to 17.0. Without 17.0, we are unable to attest for MU.

Recommendations

Look elsewhere. We have been live for three years, and the whole experience has been horrible. When we call, we are on hold for an average of two hours before we are disconnected.

2.5 Years Using PrimeSuite On-Demand in a Pediatric Practice

Ease-of-use

In general, the templates are very easy to use for a straightforward patient. For complex patients or patients with multiple problems, it is cumbersome. If you want to use an uncommon diagnosis or one not on the template you are using, you need to be comfortable searching ICD-9 codes.

Functionality

It is not possible to see the number of patients per physician that we used to see in our practice, but with lowered expectations, it can work. After 2.5 years, some features still do not work.

Product Quality

PrimeSUITE frequently does not use capabilities you would expect from a computer. Many items you would expect to be built into software used in pediatrics are not. For example, we had to write our own templates for tracking development and for screening for ADHD, anxiety, depression, and autism. Items from well checks do not carry forward to the next well check (e.g., circumcised or not, breastfed or not, formula used, milestones, etc) and must be manually re-entered. Medications do not expire as written, and you must enter a clumsy calendar to add an expiration date, or PrimeSuite will use the date of the current visit as the expiration date, even if the original prescription was for three days two years ago.

Customer Support

They are always very polite, usually respond quickly, and are very good at getting problems solved.

The customer support is what I like best about PrimeSUITE. Tracking patient visits for entering charges is also very good.

While it can be done, using the program when seeing patients is tedious and frustrating, even on a slow day. There will be a dramatic decline in the number of patients you will be able to see. The whole process is template-driven, and you will need to customize every template you use if you expect to get anything done. The best method to customize your templates will vary from trainer to trainer. The templates are not smart; there is little linkage between them. If you need to use more than one template while seeing a patient, you have to enter all the introductory information twice, unless you save pieces of templates to use.

Recommendations

Have one of their sales reps bring the software to your office on a laptop and try to use it to see a patient. Time the visit. Expect to get a little faster with use, but try to see where you will be able to get faster and where you will not. Expect to see fewer patients or increase office hours and expect to have to hire more staff.

Bad EHR for high price

There's nothing in this program that has any continuity or flow. There are too many clicks and hidden boxes, and it's far too easy to document in the wrong chart and accidentally not save a chart. At no time can you look at the big picture of what's going on with that current progress note or the patient's history.

Functionality

It's a tremendously slow, lumbering, and basically template-built design. It's not for a real doctor who actually asks questions and examines patients. It appears this was designed for billing and not good documentation.

Product Quality

There's no spell check, no line delete, no date with name, no drag-and-drop feature, no SOAP note format, etc.

Customer Support

Their trainers have spent countless hours trying to show us its functionality, but since nothing is intuitive, it takes forever to learn. Many aspects are fixes for the poor programming.

The medication functionality was the only reasonable aspect of this program.

It's a very poorly written program and almost non-functional. I have spent a month trying to learn this program and have found it to be completely counterintuitive and somewhat detrimental to patient care.

Recommendations

I would recommending looking elsewhere. It is both difficult to use and expensive! My previous EHR was far superior at a fraction of the cost.

Poor customer service

The growth curves don't populate the note. They now also aren't accurate (an eight-week-old is charted on the one-month point, because the baby is not two months old). The staff can't add lab results into the chart if the doctor has it open. The vaccine codes have to be added by the doctor and don't auto-populate. I can add instructions for a particular diagnosis, but only template-by-template (it won't cross into others).

Functionality

I was initially able to use it on my iPad, and then that functionality was taken away with no advance notice, no explanation, and no response to my inquiry. See above for further functionality problems.

I do not think that this EHR is good for Pediatrics.

Customer Support

Poor training. There was no checklist; they said they were finished, and then the trainer sat around without showing all of the functionality. At go-live, our e-prescribing function was not set up (it required hardware and administrative action, neither of which was noticed by the company). The salesperson promised to have a demo, and a week later we found out by happenstance that he was fired (no one told us). We had contact with a new rep, and he fixed one problem of multiple issues we had submitted in writing. He was supposed to check on another feature for us but did not contact us again. When we tried to contact him again, he was unreachable (possibly also gone?). Server upgrades were done during office hours, with no or little advance notice, and those upgrades were not explained.

There were a lot of pediatric templates to choose from. These did require quite a bit of revision, but they were a good starting point. I like the drop down menu in the HPI.

We are an OB/GYN clinic and Med Spa operating with 4 physicians, 2 mid-levels and approximately 20 plus employees. Greenway has been our EMR system for 2 1/2 years now and we love it. Implementation and Go-Live went very smooth. Customer support is excellent. I love the fact that Greenway has went above and beyond to establish partnerships with other vendors to enable their users to customize their individual systems to meet their personal needs. I also love the fact that Greenway listens to their users by allowing us to request enhancements to their system. Greenway's dedication to their customers shows in their regional conferences and annual PrimeLEADER event. I would recommend Greenway to any medical practice.

We are a six physician owned OB/GYN clinic located in central Arkansas. I have been with the clinic a little over two years and in practice management for a total of eleven years.

The clinic was using POMS software which was dreadfully out of date and I knew the entire system needed an overhaul. I was taking it one issue at a time, when our CEO told me he thought we should pursue this "EMR thing". That was all I needed. After researching several systems, I narrowed it down to two choices for my doctors to look at. Hands down, they chose Greenway for its flexibilty and ease of use.

We bought our system directly through Greenway and were pleased with the installation. Our implementation was sort of rough, because even though our doctors wanted the change, they were not willing to listen to the Greenway staff (or me) and slow down their schedule in order to train properly. That was a big mistake on our part, however, we were told what we needed to do.

Our front office and billing staff caught onto the system almost immediately. We are utilizing lots of the functionality but have not tapped into all that is available. One of our nurses and I attended Primeleader 2012 and are signed up again for Primeleader 2013. That was extremely helpful and gave me lots of opportunities to network with other users.

We do receive good customer support - better than other systems I have used, but occasionaly have to wait longer than we want to for some questions. I think that is just the mentality of "I want what I want, when I want it!!" that most of us have.

The meaningful use dashboard has made it so easy to get our meaningful use money! That was a life saver for me.

Overall I am very pleased with our selection and how Greenway works with us.

They are very easy to deal with and the support staff is always kind; never treating you as a dummy even though you may really be slow to understand.

We have been very pleased with Greenway. We have been through three other software programs prior to Greenway and this program far exceeds the others hands down. The customer support is exceptional which I have found to be a critical component.

The training and implementation process was very thorough and responsive to our specialty. Our billing process has been streamlined thanks to Greenway. We are an extremely busy Urology practice that has been using Greenway for over 6 years. We have three physicians, two mid-levels, and 19 additional staff members who all use either Prime Management or PrimeSuite verision 2011. With that said, we are generally happy with the easy-to-use functions that Greenway has created, and their eagerness to add additional options that will only help our practice become more efficient.

Customer service has always been one of their greatest strengths. The owners truly believe in helping not only big practices, but also small practices. We are excited to be using Greenway, and we look forward to continue to grow with them.

We are a multi site 21 provider primary care pediatric practice. We were looking for a replacement to our 100% paper medical record. Our approach to implementation was to proceed in two phases. Phase One incorporated the conversion our of demographics and A/R. Phase Two comprised our Go Live to the EMR. The applications are very user friendly, and PrimeSuite had the fewest amount of 'clicks' to complete functions of any system we evaluated. The most important benefit we have received is the increased accessibility of patient data. Information can be accessed from any office, or outside of the office, at any time. This has led to improved patient care.

We have been on Greenway for many years now, and the system is very easy to navigate and learn. The claims module and insurance posting is very easy to navigate around.

The charge posting is very user friendly.

I will say one of the issues we seem to run across more than any other is with the eprescribe functions. It is normally something that we can call to customer service and get resolved but it is just time consuming.

We are Lakeland Surgical Clinic and we consist of 8 board certified general surgeons located in Jackson Ms. We offer the latest surgical techniques in Robotic, Bariatric, Laparoscopic, Breast and General Surgery in 7 different facilities in the greater Jackson area.

We have been with Greenway Medical Technologies since January 1st, 2005. We were with Companion Technologies, which at that time they were trying to go EHR and never could get there. Our new, younger physicians had wanted to look at a more user friendly computer system and they wanted something that would take us into the future.

We are currently on the latest version of PrimeSuite and the capabilites are endless. I actually went through the implementation process in 2004 and went to Carrollton for training. They actually sat down with us one-on-one and what they helped us build, we are still using in our office today. When it came time for the office as a whole to train, Greenway sent four trainers (two for chart and two for administrative) and they made the transition as smooth as possible. They made sure that everyone, including the physicians, were comfortable using the system before they left.

The support that we get from them is like no other. They pride themselves on really helping the consumer. I remember before we actually hired ICS as our IT company we were trying to do it ourselves. Well, one of the network switches went down so half of our office was not able to work. I did not really know what to do except to call Greenway Support. I was in a panic and Al who works in support and Greenway diagnosed my problem, he then called Best Buy to get them to hold the piece of equipment that I would need to replace and then he walked me through getting those users back online again. Now if that is not customer service then I am not sure what is.

We currently have implemented PrimeMobile, PrimePatient, PrimeSpeech and parts of PrimeDataCloud. Each of these Primes are awesome in their own right.

PrimeMobile is great becasue the physician can actually in put a picture or free text a note directly into the patients chart from the hospital while they are making their rounds. They can also check their schedule, view the full patients chart and create a charge from their phone/ipad.

PrimePatient is a very nice feature because the patient can communicate with us through this portal without having to make a phone call. The Patient forms and Health History forms that the patient fills out online directly imports into our system. The patient can also pay their bill on line as well as request prescriptions, medical records, ask a question to our nurses/doctors and even make their own appointment.

PrimeSpeech, which our doctor LOVES gives him the capability to dictate directly into the chart, which improves time savings and accuracy.

PrimeDataCloud is where we go to visit our dashboards. This holds our PQRS measures and it is very user friendly when you go to fill out the information and submit it all to CMS. You have the ability the send patient records for a single visit to other providers/hospitals.

With the help of Greenway Medical Technologies and their Primes we have been able to achieve meaninful use Stage 1 Year 2. We have attested and recieved 266,500.00 in Incenitive money. So if we had it to do all over again, well you bet your bottom dollar we would do things exactly the same.

The training and transition process went smooth and customer support has been awesome. Greenway account managers and other support staff are always prompt, knowledgeable and helpful. We are brand new users to Greenway, and are at the present time in the tough stage of dealing with all the implementation changes and issues that are to be expected with any major change. However, the reason we decided to go with Greenway was that we perceived and had been told by other users that they would be there for us. They sure have!

They are a growing corporation with a fantastic product, yet a small company feel that results in great customer service. Our relationship with Greenway is very new and we hope it's a lasting one. Love, love love...

We have been using Greenway, Prime Suite for over 11 years. Purchasing Greenway is a decision we haven't ever regretted. We are a 3 Physician Group with 4 mid-levels.

We actually purchased greenway after a merger of two physicians and two different software programs. Greenway was the only software that completely impressed us and that we jumped on, without hesitation. We currently us Prime Suite Version 16.0.14.22 and will be updating again shortly.

Our implementation, as I recall was a positive transition. We have great in office support and we felt that we were properly prepared to "go live' when the time came. The customer support team was superb and helped us every step of the way.

Our team was extremely excited and eager to learn the software. We found it interesting that our least tech savvy physicians excelled in the learning process.

We know without a doubt that l we have the best medical software to date.

We are a General Surgery practice using Greenway since 2007. We are using the latest version 16.1.66. I've used multiple EMR & Practice Management systems and this system definitely has the best tech support! They are easy to reach, understand, and are helpful. I wasn't with the practice at implementation, but attended an annual conference which I highly recommend. I have customized the program and implemented additional program features for our practice with ease. There is continuous training available on e-Learning.

The EMR is easy to use and has so many useful options available. We especially like the number of available templates available and how easy they are to tailor to our practice. E-prescribe is very simple.

Claims entry & transmitting with the Practice Management system is very efficient as the coding automatically imports from the EMR so there's no duplication of data entry. The collections module is also a great feature. Scheduling & posting checks is not quite as easy as other systems I've used; however, the electronic remittance posting is very quick.

There are continual upgrades to the program, which we love as it helps us keep up with new regulations & continually improve our efficiency. I would recommend this system for someone looking for an easy to use EMR with seamless integration with the Practice Management module.
