WebPT is a cloud-based electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management solution tailored specifically to rehab therapists. This cloud-based system allows therapists, directors and front-office staff to access medical records anywhere, anytime, from any Web-enabled device.

I like how it was organized and It was easy scheduling patients

Its easy to use for the most part. I like the lay out of it, as well as the fact that all options are on the left side of the screen when you log in.

Some of the case options are a bit confusing, also I don't really like how many options there are on the home screen with pending discharges and so forth.

Recommendations

Really explore all options when first using it. Make sure you really know how to use WebPT before entering any patient info in so you don't have problems in the future.

The migration is my least favorite part. Going from one EMR software to another is not easy

Review all of the companies you are recommended. Try to apply the functions to your staff in order to best choose the product that is right for you. Not having a tech savvy office, I knew this user friendly, simply layout would be the best fit for us.

I like the fact that it will flag you when "G" codes are needed. On the billing side, although it doesn't have billing itself, it does apply CCI edits which makes our claims more effecient.

Sometimes it will lose connectivity due to internet. At that time the therapists lose information.

Recommendations

Learning new software has always been a nightmare for me, however WebPT made it pretty easy and I love it!

Web PT is a web based program that is user friendly with no contracts. Reports and documents are easily generated. The customer support is usually very quick and easy to work with.

Likes Least

You have to pay per active therapist- it would be nice to pay per group. The schedule part of the software is not really useful due to this.

Recommendations

The price. I offer many services for individuals with disabilities and for a few the price of the software would be more than what I would make. For professional services only the price is fair.

WebPT is so user friendly. I am able to provide reports to my boss and billing reports so fast and easy. I am most impressed with the support staff. I have yet to call and not get the help I needed when I needed it and by someone that was easy to understand and who I felt completely understood my question. Having spent my career in customer service I find it so rare and refreshing to find a company whose employees truly "get" customer service. After all, customer service is the one thing that can't be automated.Thank You WebPT!

I really can't think of anything I don't like. Perhaps being able to pull all patients associated with a particular doctor would be helpful sometimes, but that's all I can add at this time.

Recommendations

I worked for BellSouth and AT&T for 44 years and of course used tons of different applications/software. Having no experience in the medical field, I found WebPT to be a dream. And it gives the doc prompts when entering in her report so that she doesn't leave anything off that is needed to meet insurance requirements. In my view it's terrific!

In the initial evaluation form, documenting palpation has to many check boxes, I find it easier and more efficient to just comment on palpation

Web PT is easy to use. It can be as general or as in depth as you would like. The flow sheets are easy to use and organized. Their customer support is quick to respond to your questions.

I have no complaints. They really are good. The only thing I would change is for trunk ROM is to be able to add for "custom" to be able to type how many inches away from the lateral joint line the patient can reach, it auto corrects to degrees.

I run the billing and patient input side of the practice and I like the fact that we can enter and save all patient input and save on the cloud. The application interfaces well with my billing application Kareo. Your support is very good when I need it.

The application is picky about which browser you run it on. I have a MAC and have problems with the application working sometimes. I have tried Chrome with better luck.

It cut my documentation time in half after five years using TherapySource for EMR, which I often had to just keep clicking to the "other" box. Patients don't fit nicely into pre-formed sentences. With WebPT, I can make customized templates for the special tests and measurements I regularly use during evaluations, so that I don't have to wade through myriad drop down menus each time.

The entry of new patient info. Not a huge deal in the clinic I work in where the front desk staff take care of the nitty gritty, but time consuming for me to enter all the info before I can get started with my private wellness patients.

Recommendations

Take the time to make the custom templates for your evaluations if you have specific test and measures, it saves so much time when you have a busy clinic schedule ahead of you.

WebPT looks to be the most updated EMR software presently for our rehab needs. The software is easy to use, very organized and is constantly updating to keep with the demands of the industry. This is a product I will continue to recommend.

I do wish that there were specific changes that can be made, to tailor the needs of specific clinics. We do understand that there are many users who subscribe to WebPT and suggestions are considered but there are a couple of things we would love to see change since switching to the software.

Just give it a try! I highly doubt you will turn back. WebPT does it's best to help the provider stay compliant while also keeping the front office efficient. The developments and updates have always been helpful. The support staff are quick to respond and the articles and webinars released often help bring the rehab community together to voice their concerns, while receiving vital information on how to remain successful and improve.

Medicare components are built into the software. When I document, I can feel certain that all Medicare requirements are being met. That's a huge relief as a small private practice (ST and OT)!

While available for PTs, OT, and SLPs (among other disciplines), and personally customizable to a certain extent, I'd like to see more Speech-Language Pathology assessments (or scoring records) pre-loaded into the EHR.

Recommendations

Carefully consider the Customer Service options. I have had many, many questions come up after the initial set-up phase. If I had to pay for that Customer Support, I may have given up! WebPT may be more costly on a monthly basis than other options, but the included support is not to be disregarded!
