Real time maintenance requests. Mobile apps and the ability to track labor and costs. Not to mention spare parts and inventory. Our production folks can't believe the response team from maintenance! Let me know what maintenance people are doing without having to ask. I love being able to assign them work no matter where the are.. I do recommend buying tablets for them... I use $120 tablets. One or two hours of uptime pays for those quickly ! Every machining and manufacturing plant in America should use this. If you have 5 or 5000 pieces of equipment, facility, or anything needing maintenance this should be your software. I have had to use ERP maintenance add ons that never allowed real TPM quality support. This software is designed SPECIFICALLY for maintenance. It is easy to use and learn. It pays for itself in the first 3 months. I have implemented this software 3 times. I am not paid by them, but I would recommend them to any company. I have been in Manufacturing for just over 30 years, and this is the best software for this I have seen! IT works ! We use SSO so security is tight. We are a medium size school system and compared to other application we use the value for is on point. We use this system for all work ordered and asset management, we live and die by it, It always works and if I do have an issue support is timely into looking into the issue and finding a resolution. Cons: The biggest issue we have is it doesn't offer text message notifications for work orders. The notifications with email are ok, but text messages are much easier. I would like to see better mobile editing options as well as more reporting features. The implementation took a very long time but the support was good. At the time, it was the best option but I'm not sure I'd make the same choice again. It's priced similar to others in the market. Setting up crews is also very easy and makes assigning work easy within a department. Cons: It's no longer designed just for education so we needed to do a lot of adjusting to make it work for our needs. The reporting and analytics needs work. The adding of labor is more cumbersome than it should be. The security of the 'reporting' feature is not able to be locked down to allow nurses to use it for what we need. Reasons for choosing Asset Essentials At the time, FMX did not have utility tracking capabilities, we also wanted to have the history from School Dude. At the time, Asset Essentials had the best app. We also looked at Incident IQ which our IT team uses. I'm not sure if that's the same product as Incident Tracker that is listed above. Reasons for switching to Asset Essentials School Dude was getting outdated and was not supported as it should be....this was the upgrade of that product.
