UpKeep is a cloud-based integrated computerized maintenance management (CMMS) and enterprise asset management (EAM) solution that provides businesses functionalities to manage their assets and facilities.

The solution is accessible via desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones and is suitable for maintenance departments with multiple technicians consistently working in the field.

UpKeep offers core maintenance functionality, such as asset, inventory and work order management and preventive maintenance to create service schedules. Users can see a tasks overview page showing upcoming work along with due dates, criticality and assets or workers assigned to each. When adding new tasks, users can include notes, a color-coded priority rating, images, assets and users.

The mobile application gives users the ability to create projects, assign work orders, manage assets and more. UpKeep is designed for small to midsize companies across various industry verticals.

UpKeep offers services on a monthly subscription basis that includes support via phone, email and through an online knowledge base.

Pros

The tool helps us assign and prioritize tasks. It also handles keeping track of all the pending tasks. It is accessible via mobile so it's a lot easier to use to send work orders.

Cons

I hope there is a function to review all tasks completed for the day. Being able to revisit them is a good way to make sure everything is covered.

Pros

Very intuitive, easy-to-learn software. Our team is small so getting everyone on and using it was quick and easy. Compared to a lot of the other options we researched, this was the most cost effective given our small size. Great customer service.

Cons

The price might not be suited for larger companies, although I'm sure they have a solution for larger businesses too. The customer service team was very proactive when we were first getting set up.

Pros

Upkeep is scalable and dependable. It has a sleek and easy-to-use User Interface and their API feature allowed us to provide automated work order generation. Upkeep allows importing and exporting assets, locations, and other data to spreadsheets, making it a breeze to manage our large set of resources.

Cons

Upkeep is relatively new software, but that means their development team was ready to work with us to add customized features we needed.

This app has been a great tool for my small business! Instead of sorting and dealing with paperwork that related to work orders, our maintenance manager is able to easily access data on our assets through the neatly organized tabs and simple interface. I love being able to prioritize certain work orders and review costs and additional reports. So far I have not experienced any glitches and the biweekly updates always seem to make the app run more smoothly. I would highly recommend this app.

Cons

However, there the ease of use of the app is pretty low. In the beginning, I had a little bit of a hard time navigating the app, but after a couple of use, I got the hang of it!

Best way to track your tenants requests and progress.

Pros

Tenants can easily send over their work orders or maintenance requests without the need of having to call in to report it which often times can create an unfavorable moment. Customer service is great and they quickly and easily walk you through and explain the process of whatever you need to learn or be trained on.

Cons

As any program it can take just a little bit to learnt he software and how to use it all towards to everyday need. Once it is learned it is very rare that you will need to consult a customer service rep to help you with anything.

There are still times when the app or website acts up. Recently, one of the team member could not log in for a few days. There are time where I can't accept a request from my computer but I can from the app. Still a little buggy.

At a former employer, we used a similar work order system that had half the features of UpKeep, and twice the cost. I was amazed to discover how much we got for so little.

Pros

The biggest pro is the functionality. All of our inventory, work orders, assets, schedules, and meters are all included in one app. The account setup is very flexible and affordable. Customer Support responds instantly and resolves any issue that arises, though few issues have occurred.

Cons

When the product was new, there were a few issues with training staff to use it. As the product developed, it became easier for our techs to navigate. Other than initial training, we haven't had any problems.

If you're specifically looking for maintenance management software, this works pretty well. But if you need a lot of different types of projects and tasks to keep track of you'll probably need something else.

Pros

Great for adding tasks with pictures and descriptions. Customization is simple and and helps keep communication among the team pretty easy.

Cons

Nothing really wrong with it, but its hard to stay competitive with many other task management softwares that do similar things. Though Upkeep does focus on maintenance and construction type project tasks, its still hard to see why this would preferred over other general task management softwares like Asana. If you have all kinds of projects to keep track of, maintenance or not, it could get burdensome to run various softwares. Probably easier to keep it all in once place that can do it all.

It is a fluent work management software which proves to be highly efficient in managing facilities.

Pros

Best part about the software is the compatibility, you can easily get updated through your smartphone on all the tasks/ jobs. It has user friendly interface and easily available functionalities. The assets, inventories, mails, progress can all be tracked for all the technicians on the field. The users are also well informed about the tasks along with the deadlines or other criticalities.
The task details can be customized with images, coloring etc for the users.
Images can be edited and directly attached by the users.

Cons

The editing access is just to the admin and also customization on the whole is tricky. There is some issues with inventory control, the price setting once done continues without tracking the higher cost. Also, the process of assigning work and billing can be sometimes slow.

It covers the basic and the complex necessities of facility tracking. It helps create and record barcodes for equipments for a better tracking, records serial numbers, suppliers and others. An engineering company’s material necessities is vast, without UpKeeps, tracking all these equipments, files, maintenance schedules and other related procedures is hard.

It also allowed us the tracking of timely repairs, preventive maintenance, contract management and other special information. It also deals with the calls made, quotes or estimates, others. It contains many features that has really assisted our team in increasing our work output. The availability in mobile is also a plus, making our job mobile.

I use upkeep to keep track of assets of HVAC installs and services calls I work on. I also use it to track and bill all other service calls I do. Overall great and powerful product. Look forward to see what they come out with next!

The issue I have the most problem with is the repetitive typing when adding a customer and location. I am sure this will get easier over time. Also currently have to have internet connection. Can be tricky in dead spots. I have no doubt in time these items will be addressed and there will be no cons with the software.

I am able to view both of my storage properties and know at any time what is going on with unit maintenance, vendor maintenance, scheduling and repairs... I don't have to pick up the phone, or send an email, or wait for a response... It's right there at my fingertips. It is an incredibly useful tool.

Pros

The BIGGEST plus about this software is you don't have to have access to a desktop to use it... You can use it right from your smartphone. It is user friendly AND cost effective. We use it at our storage facility to keep tabs on preventative maintenance, inventory, Emails, photos, scheduling, and for our vendors. Everything is kept in one place, and everyone can have access to it so nobody skips a beat... It also allows you to be able to keep more than one facility at a time so that you can keep on task with all of your properties. I really enjoy using the program.

Cons

It does take a second to configure everything towards the application of your business. This is a streamline software that is general in the sense that it can be used in various applications like restaurants, property management, and construction and what not so you kind of have to set it up to make it work for you... The great thing about that is that you can call customer support anytime you might need help with a step and they be able to help you out. If your familiar with computers or your cell phone this won't be an issue for you. If you are not as comfortable with electronics, it may take a minute for you to become familiar with the program, as with any program.

It has been a journey and the people on the Upkeep team have been great. I can't wait to see what is to come!

Pros

It makes it ease to track field personal, ease to update job tasks as you are on the job. ease to keep track of inventory of items used on job and to keep track of what is needed on a job.

Cons

The camera in the app does not capture the time and date and no latitude and longitude. You can not put jobs under a sub-folder per costumer to split different costumer jobs up in the app.
