  • Pros

  • Here are some aspects that I have highlighted as positive experiences:Document organization and retrieval: I appreciate the robust document organization capabilities of DocStar ECM.
  • Most importantly, DocStar's customer service has been TOP NOTCH...although to be fair, we hardly ever have to call them since the solution is so stable.
  • The experience with the latest implementation was very positive. The consultant provided by Epicor was very knowledgeable and great at implementing.
  • Cons

  • Trying to find documents for audits was a tedious, costly process and storing documents in file cabinets exposes our organization to theft and loss.
  • Horrible experience ending with litigation with PIF Technologies.
  • Lack of documentation on how to use the software or how to customize it. Difficultly customizing the software so that users can use it.

  • Great experience since we signed up in February 2016, good customer support and good software.
  • It's a great feature that I haven't seen elsewhere, and it's a great help when things need to be sorted quickly during the busy season.
  • For the most party I have been happy with the software. I switched from Smart Vault to have a solution that was easier for me and my clients.
  • Cons

  • There are days when the site is experiencing technical error where it will tell my coworkers and I that "There is an internal server error," and will not let us in.
  • An update corrupted our data, now we are afraid to run updates. OCR sometimes stops running or encounters errors.
  • It seems to crash frequently causing it to be frustrating.
