Insightly is a customer relationship management (CRM) solution that provides businesses with a way to manage projects and track contacts, communications, sales, projects, tasks and documents in a single platform. It is available via the web and on mobile devices.

Designed to integrate with many popular applications, Insightly connects users to online applications such as Google Calendar, Gmail and Docs, Outlook 2013, MailChimp, Evernote, Box, Dropbox, QuickBooks Online, Xero, and more. Mobile apps offer users access to information from anywhere and support the iPhone, Android and tablets such as the iPad and Google Nexus.

Insightly’s dashboard provides real-time information via a task dashboard and opportunity reports. Insightly's Advanced Reports allow the creation of custom, tabular reports. Opportunity reports offer details such as the responsible user, pipeline and pipeline stage, close date, probability of winning and value.

Insightly also offers integrated project management functionality. Once a deal is closed, users can track and manage follow-up project commitments directly from within the CRM. The Insighly Sidebar also saves emails directly from Gmail, giving users access to the history of their conversations and allowing them to link all correspondence to projects and events.

Flexible and Functional

Pros

I've been using Insightly now for several months, and while there are still more features I haven't quite dug into yet, I very much like how it works to keep track of your contacts, and I love how it very easily integrates with Google drive as well. I use Google spreadsheets to keep track of invoices for my customers, so that is very convenient.

Cons

I have yet to encounter a significant drawback, honestly. There are actually more features in the software than I think I will ever need, which is not a bad problem to have!

Super CRM for SMEs!

A really good, one stop shop CRM for SMEs. Easy to plan, implement and manage; well done!

Pros

Solid Leads Manager

Pros

This product easily keeps track of my contacts and leads. I love that it integrates with MailChimp too.

Cons

The integration with MailChimp is complex, and honestly a little clunky. That said, once it’s setup, it works well.

Great product.

Pros

This product has a wide array of CRM tools and applications to work with including Google suite, Gmail, Docs, MailChimp, Outlook, Evernote, QuickBooks and more. The mobile accessibility was incredibly useful for on the go client relation management and is compatible with iPhone, Mac products, and Android phones and tablets as well.
When navigating the "dashboard" Insightly offers real time reports and even probability of gaining new business and the value of specified clients. The project management function is fantastic. Once you've opened an account with a client, you can manage follow-ups and track progress on commitments and business along with history of conversations and specific details that can be utilized in the future for personable experiences. Insightly does a great job at distinguishing leads from clients, it's highly customizable, and removes the requirement of other project management tools you may be utilizing. The layout is similar to Facebook.

Cons

Some additional features that are highly useful need to be payed for in addition to the software. Transparency on this would have been useful. If you're in healthcare, you may run into an issue with HIPPA compliance.

Simplicity and Power in one CRM Solution

Pros

Super intuitive to navigate, operate, and optimize. Everything just makes sense. I have worked with other more expensive systems before but none of them can beat the simplicity and functionality that Insightly offers.

Cons

The product continues to improve over time. Most of the things that I didn't like about the system are no longer an issue. For example, Insightly now offers great customizable dashboards.

Workflow automation, separates leads from contacts, impressive dashboard

Pros

I’ve been tasked to shortlist a CRM that centralizes lots of aspects of the business. Insightly gets close and I’m growing fond of it as it combines multiple tools into one dashboard, accessible via one page.
Some of my top favourite highlights:
- Lead management: set up workflow automation with the ability to automate the initial response without having to spend time manually contacting each potential customer.
- You can feed the customer and sales data to other apps that you integrate with Insightly
- It removes the need for our other project management tools as it has enough abilities to substitute them.
- Insightly does a good job at separating leads from contacts with its Opportunities category
- Facebook-like layout
- monitor a specific team member's progress
- customizable navigation menu
- you can use HTML code and web forms to pull in leads from the web

Cons

It’s a personal preference, but I prefer to see all info held on a lead on a single screen rather than accessing each piece of info via tabs.

Great features included at no cost

Insightly has really helped my efficiency and ability to keep up with the day-to-day things I have to do to grow my business. I'm hoping that I get enough clients and have enough work to do where I'll have to get one of the paid versions someday!

Pros

I use insightly to help me manage my video production clients and leads. You get a lot of powerful options without having to pay. I currently use their free version and I'm able to do all of the things I need to manage my small company. It helps me stay on track of tasks and manage the clients and projects I have going on.

Cons

Some of the ways to add projects or tasks to projects can be a bit cumbersome and clunky when on my smartphone. Maybe I'm not doing it right, but it seems like you have to go through quite a few steps to get to a pretty top-level function. When I'm on my computer or laptop though I can find everything just fine.

STAY AWAY FROM INSIGHTLY IF YOU USE MULTIPLE CURRENCIES

Pros

This is a very normal CRM system. The UX is acceptable as it is. However, see below if you are using multiple currency

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT !
We chose Insightly because of the multi currency capabilities. So it does indeed allow you to use multiple currencies. BUT...the conversion doesn't work and as a result all the reports are aggregating the amounts, regardless of the currency. To fix this, INSIGHTLY is proposing a costly development and asking us to take a higher plan for more users. ABSOLUTELY SHAMELESS !

Good value for money

I really enjoy using Insightly, overall. It has helped our team collaborate extensively, and has really cut down on back and forth on account ownership/account coordination/etc. I highly recommend it!

Pros

I really enjoy the ease of use, the collaborative aspect, the customization, the integration with outlook, and the ability to live within the ecosystem. I have experience with other CRM systems (SalesForce, Millenium, Abila, Raier's Edge, etc.), but this one has an easy and functional learning curve.

Cons

Easily the most difficult aspect of the software is the inability to change certain core features. Specifically, the inability to add more than one email address (e.g., add a secondary). I understand that it is this way because of reporting requirements for the hard-baked report options, however it makes certain aspects of the software less intuitive and workable.

A good CRM software

Pros

This software is fairly easy to use and the price is reasonable for a small/medium business. It is also very easy to set up and implement it.

Cons

In order to get additional features/functions, you will have to pay much more for that. And the customer support is not that great.

Awesome Software

Overall, a very good CRM application, easy to use and available on Android and IOS devices. I totally recommend this to everyone that needs a good CRM.

Pros

This web-based application is extremely handy, The application is easy to use and easily accessible. This is a good CRM system to use for any business that has a high customer inflow. You are able to even had custom fields to your CRM database to customize it to your liking. You can also integrate other apps to have all your customer info like sales etc all in one area. You can also add tasks and set reminders. This would work very well for salespeople as you are able to track projects and sales pipelines, pull reports and track emails to customers.

Cons

This application is free for a team of 2 with limitations of 2500 records, however, for a paid version you can access a lot more.

Cost Efficient CRM

Pros

The cost is great compared to other CRMs. I has all the basic features that one needs in a basic CRM. Setup and importing data is relatively simple.

Cons

Searches and autofills can be buggy and glitchy sometimes. The API lacks some of the features you'd find in a larger scale CRM

Great CRM for G Suite users

Pros

For G Suite users, you'll have a CRM directly linked to your inbox. Insightly is easy to use and there are lots of features to allow you to customize the CRM to your liking. Insightly is competitively priced and they also offer a free version.

Cons

I didn't care for the design of Insightly. I also would have liked to have more marketing integrations added to Insightly such as email list integration and landing pages.

Full Features, Not all are Robust

The CRM functions in Insightly have been useful to my business. Overall, I found lots of small issues and bugs, and when I reached out to customer support, I had significant delays in the response time. Most of the time, the bugs would vanish before the support team had a chance to respond to me.

Pros

I liked the level of customization that was available with the Business subscription.

Cons

I didn't like that the software seemed to slow down as I added more leads and companies. Eventually my custom filters stopped working due to "complexity", even though those same filters used to work in the past.

Easy to use CRM for small to medium businesses

Pros

Easy to setup. Free tier gives you great tools and could be great for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Cons

User Interface could be improved. You’ll need to complement it with other tools to automate all the process.

This UI is very clunky. I could not get anyone on my team to adopt it.

After trying for a month to get my team to adopt this tool they all complained. I contacted Insightly to request a pro-rated refund but they refused. The free version does not offer the full capability to assess and the paid version is non-refundable. A typical SW scam.

Pros

Combined CRM and Project Management Tool. The video training is good and useful. Tool seems to do what you want until you actually try to use it.

Cons

The User Interface is extremely hard to use. I would NEVER recommend this tool for managing projects. It is nearly impossible to figure out the status of a project. Everything is hidden.
