Glitchy - sometimes the image is lost between the server and the workstation.

Cs Softdent has been a great, friendly experience in more ways than one. I got the opportunity to join the Carestream family in  Texas at the Natural summit in 2019.

Softdent is very easy to use and it is quite straightforward. I find it easy to navigate, schedule appointments, dental chart, take X-rays, and send referrals to other offices.

Sometimes I feel as though it can be difficult to treatment plan a patient's dental work.

I only started using Softdent due to taking over a practice that had it in place. I immediately worked towards switching to another software after realizing only days later how bad it was.

Softdent is a newer software to me but it has been quite easy to learn and use.

Horrible customer service, Completely dishonest (still states that there program integrates with Dexis) while it does not. Use any other dental software program except SoftDent.

I then demanded my money back for all the Carestream products, the intraoral sensors, intraoral camera, pano, extraoral camera, and software.

For example, the intraoral cameras, digital xray sensors, and CT scanner made by Carestream integrate so well with SoftDent and I use them daily on nearly every patient.

The perk I truly enjoy the most is being able to have quick buttons to access information very quickly.

If settings arent chosen prior to importing into certain EDRs color can be lost. Sometimes easy to lose all photos with one wrong click.

On top of all of the capabilities of this software and the awesome interface, Carestream also has additional devices that are a must have for the software that can make your practice so much better.

Slow, outdated, tech support is costly for almost nothing.

Sometimes it throws error codes that prevent you from saving a patient chart.

I like that you have quick keys on the keyboard, as well as the financial reports that you can generate for the practice.

The person logging in may take a very long time to solve the problem, sometimes reverting back to installation questions you might be able to answer from years before.

The lack of included features makes CS SoftDent inferior to other dental software that I have experience with.

Softdent has horrible error checking,  uses a weird proprietary database back end that does not work at all.

Good hardware and software - IF THEY DON'T change their model.

Navigation is tricky and there is just so much to remember. Unable to integrate with our Web host.

This software is very user friendly, it's easy to learn and move around from scheduling to pulling the patient's chart, treatment planning, and verifying insurance.

Kodak product origionally-- high priced-- they sold it to care stream at a premium.

Practice Growth and Revenue Generation; the dental's solutions can enhance the patient experience, which can lead to increased patient retention and referrals.

Cloud is so slow and when it  fails no one helps. Customer support is very poor.

The ease of use and the fact that their technical support team is hands down, one of the best, if not the best help I've had. Very patient with me or any other team member that has to call them.

I appreciate how easy SoftDent is to use. Yes there is a learning curve when you first being utilizing it but overall it is simple.

This is by far our favorite dental practice management software, and we use and support all of them. The cost is fair as well.

Best of all, their customer service is easily reachable by several different options and is fast and fantastic.

I would definitely recommend this software. I know that is integrated quite easily with our existing digital xray system though I was not involved in getting that set up.

This software is not easy to use or user-friendly, it's  a little frustrating if you have to switch screens and remember info from other areas, X-rays are not transferable.

Great relationship with many support people, who are more than willing to deal with my many, many calls.

One of the things we love most about Open Dental is how customizable it is. In so many areas of the software, we can make it look and feel exactly how we want.

I found it very interesting,  useful and worth. It is apt and can be recommended to colleagues.

It is the best and easiest dental software that you will ever use.

I can't think of any problems other than our particular doctor did not provide training. I am not sure if Open Dental providers training.

Flexible, has many features that usually cost a lot more, time-saving, paperless, great ability to customize reports.

Open Dental has so many great features. There customer service department is top notch and if you need anything they make sure there is a report or they fix any problems.

I've used Dentrix and Eaglesoft before using Open Dental, and have to say that Open Dental is by far the best. Everything is straightforward, it's simple to learn, and very customizable.

User friendly , great price , easy to use , full integration with other software.

You can run a Query (custom report) for just about any possible scenario, and save it as a favorite for future use.

They spent hours remotely working on my machine and escalated it to their top techies. And it was really a problem with Windows  not  Open Dental that caused the problem.

I really love how user friendly open Dental is on the administration side with the accounts. It’s easy to see clearly and understand.

My overall experience with Open Dental has been great. The software is easy to use and reliable.

You never hear about this with any company, but this company is great at answering questions.

It's incredibly user friendly, between the customer support team, online manual, and YouTube video tutorials, you'll feel like a pro in no time at all.

Open Dental is a robust practice management software that is suitable for single offices or multi-clinic locations. 
Open Dental is separated into seven modules: Appointments, Family, Account, Treatment Plan, Chart, Imaging, and Manage. 
Schedule and manage appointments using the Appointments Module. Fill gaps in the schedule using Appointment Lists such as Recall, Confirmations, ASAP and more. The Appointments Module can be customized for your scheduling needs, by creating operatories, setting provider availability, allowing block scheduling, and more. 
Set patient and insurance information in the Family Module. Determine insurance plan types (such as in-network or out-of-network), enter plan benefits and frequency limitations, and track insurance usage history. 
Manage patient balances and send claims in the Account Module. Open Dental’s integration with multiple clearinghouses allows a seamless claims process. Take payments with an integrated payment processor for a smooth transaction. Create Payment Plans to offer and track repayment agreements. 
Determine estimated costs for patient using the Treatment Plan Module. Send preauthorizations to determine accurate estimates. Prioritize treatment and offer multiple treatment options. 
Chart existing and needed procedures in the Chart Module. Quickly enter treatment with custom Procedure Buttons, view changes over time in the 3D Graphical Tooth Chart, enter Procedure Notes and general patient notes in the Progress Notes.
