Patterson Dental’s Eaglesoft software is a Meaningful Use and ONC-ATCB certified on-premise dental office practice management system. Designed for dental practitioners and dental healthcare providers of all sizes, it includes features including clinical charting, patient scheduling, imaging, billing/accounting applications and periodontal templates.
Eaglesoft’s patient scheduling application gives dental practice employees the ability to block off different segments of time, from five to 60 minutes, depending on the necessary length of the appointment. Double booked appointments are displayed side-by-side so they can be identified before a problem arises.

Only Software for Dental
It's great. We have used it for years and see no reason to switch
PROSIt is the best software available for general dental professionals. Everything is easy to do and there isn't anything my staff can do that I am unable to undo. The settings allow for each user to have different access to things.
CONSEaglesoft is currently not cloud based. We have to have a physical server to use this software.

Excellent Practice Management Software
I have used Eaglsoft for more than 20 years. It is so user friendy and it is easy to train new team members to use. I have used other practice management software in the past and none of them are as good as Eaglesoft.
PROSEaglesoft offers so many features to make practice management so much easier. Their reports, charting and treatment planning are so organized. I love the insurance aging report and how you can make notes that can be tracked and filtered through the insurance outstanding claim window. This saves so much time. There are so many features to list that we love.
CONSI would have to say the only thing as this time I would like to see improve is to be able to print patient notes from their chart note screen instead of having to go to patient master notes.

Reasons for switching to Eaglesoft
Needed a software that integrated with digital imaging and digital cameras. Also, wanted better software that did more. The others were limited. Eaglsoft does in all.

Eaglesoft has a bird's eye view on patient healthcare
Overall, Eaglesoft is great! Since transitioning from the healthcare field into the nonprofit world, I would like to kindly describe Eaglesoft as the Slack for dental offices. In the 21st century, it's efficient, mostly straightforward, and more useful than any paper cabinet filing system.
PROSWhen I used to work as an office assistant in a dental office, I used Eaglesoft all the time for data entry, internal communication, and to lookup patient information. It was fairly easy to navigate and it served as an excellent substitute to our previous paper filing system.
CONSWithout a guide, it can be difficult to navigate the platform and understand what the software can and can't do. For example, there are a number of keyboard functions that allow you to find a patient, lookup sensitive information, etc. but the help icon doesn't ever tell you about these shortcut solutions.

Easy to get used to
PROS
Eaglesoft has all the features a dental office would need. It's also easy to train employees on and easy for them to grasp.
CONSSometimes the system would glitch out and we would have to restart it, but that didn't happen often.

Eaglesoft is great - not many drawbacks
We enjoy it - helps us stay organized and keep track of patients and referrals! Overall great company and software
PROSWe really enjoy the ease of logging in and changing appts, and keeping patients information up to date - had great reminders and ease of use with statements etc.
CONSThere are some glitches that will occasionally pop up, the company doesn’t ever reach out ahead of time and warn you. You usually end up finding out when you call in to find out what’s going on. Eaglesoft just like any softwares can have issues just get ahead of them and reach out before hand
