  • Pros

  • Overall, they are pretty reliable and their system works really well with our PM system, so win win all around.
  • Modernizing medicine as a company is a pleasure to deal with and provides unparalleled customer support. They are very responsive to our office and are an extremely progressive company.
  • It saves us time and improves the quality of our care, hence we are more productive and profitable. The built in PT education features (handout and vDX links) are incredibly helpful.
  • Cons

  • We had looked at several EMR's, but was frustrated by the inability to customize the products.
  • This means loss of revenue for the practice. The reminder system is also very redundant and I have had numerous patient complaints over it.
  • Also, the patient reminder system ( Relatient) is awful. It does not connect in real time to the practice schedule and requires extra work to find out if a patient has cancelled an appointment.

  • Overall, When we used it it did perfect for what we needed. We are a small office and having a reliable EMR system is super important.
  • They are all so incredibly helpful, patient and pleasant to work with. I also really appreciate the quarterly software updates and that when I have feedback/suggestion it is taken seriously.
  • For the most part, it is user friendly. The ability to customize everything is great and the coloring is easy on the eyes.
  • Cons

  • No way of indicating urgent patient issues with warning- such as "do not schedule this patient" or "patient owes collections"- sticky note option is too easy to miss.
  • I also am very very very (VERY) disappointed in the speed. I was told and I feel VERY MISLEAD about the speed of the product.
  • When we integrated the PN merchant credit card processing, we have a few problems with card readers not working properly. It took several weeks to get the problems resolved.
